This is the same Papoose that Sean from Bikes and Beards didn't make it home on. Maybe there's good reason for that, but I'm going to try it anyway.

  • My daddy bought me one of these in about 1968 when I was 10. Here in the UK it was known as the Corgi and I only found out about the Indian connection many years later when restoring one as a nostalgia project. Mine was a 1948 MK1 with no kick start and only bump start option and came in two wooden tea chests and cost 30/- (that is thirty shillings in 'old money' or £1.50 about $2US). We (he) rebuilt it in an afternoon and I was happily riding it down the road in the evening in a cloud of 2-stroke smoke. I felt like the king of the road.

  • The Army has something called a BDAR kit. It's got duct tape, JB weld, hose clamps and other quick fixes for Battle Damage.... I'm sure they had zip ties or something like them back then.

  • My Grandpa had one of these in really good condition when I was a kid. It was just covered over in his garage on the top of Lookout Mtn, in Tenn., but I used to play on it like I was really riding hehe. Fun memories ^^ It really is the original "Ruckus".
