Bedrock hardcore is much more exciting. The game might glitch out at any second and you die for no reason. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat...
Lol
Thats more of a downside tbh
honestly i have died to the glitches in java never in bedrock
@@Official-Pizzeria-Unit I've never seen of a Java death bug, while I get recommended a clip of a bedrock death bug every other week.

The best feature in bedrock is random heart attacks and cardiac arrest, it makes it more realistic and fun.
I again know this is a joke but I’ve only had this happen in CREATIVE MODE 5 YEARS AGO
These bugs dont even happen often, never in my 6 years of playing bedrock i have ever experienced one of these bugs also they are getting fixed it was announced by the time hardcore was announced to get added to bedrock

As a Java purist, I think that bedrock has better hardcore solely because it's a lot harder to weasel your way back into your dead world
Mobs are also tougher to fight including bosses, health regeneration is much slower, mobs spawn far more frequently too and skeletons shoot faster but just as accurate. It’s basically more challenging I suppose.
Minecraft has always been about making your own rules so I don’t really mind that it’s easy to get back in on Java

My life is just like a video game bro!! Ö
Sorry for the long-winded comment, but stick with me here. I started playing Minecraft on the Java version back around 2014 or so. Unfortunately, due to a legitimate house fire (I wasn't subscribed yet) in 2018 I pretty much lost everything. I was in no way capable of affording a new PC setup, but my brother gave me his PS4 so I could still have some way to play games. I was skeptical to start playing Minecraft again because of unreasonable biases I had formed over time against Bedrock. Regardless, I found a Bedrock subject matter expert (Andrew) on youtube in order to learn all the mechanics I wasn't familiar with. Some, I wasn't stoked about, but I didn't see any real deal breakers, so I pulled the trigger and started a new world. Six years later, I have a formidable PC setup again, which I use for a vast majority of games, but I'm still playing Minecraft on my now PS5.(side note, I've never experienced being bugged to death in all that time. Im not sure if i'm the exception, and I'm curious what other bedrock players have to say) At this point, I can comfortably say I personally prefer Bedrock over Java for a multitude of reasons. However, I've also never tried to put anyone down for which version of the game they play, which is a huge rhetoric within the Java community. I'm aware that Bedrock has a larger demographic of younger players, but from what I've seen, Java players are the ones acting like a bunch of coping children. Just enjoy your version of the game and let others do so as well. There's no war here, so try to live and let live. You're doing good things for a good community, Toycat. Keep it up.
Preach 🙌
Same boat. Haven't experienced a bug death.
@ibxtoycat, pin this
Yeah, I personally find Java the better version, but I play on Bedrock. Would have switched to Java if it had the bedrock wither, but alas, and that’s a total dealbreaker for me. For all purposes, both versions are near equals, with a list of ever dwindling parity issues between the two. Bedrock is the generally better user experience, but Java is the is more responsive and is “fuller”. To explain: Bedrock is generally hassle-free and runs quite smoothly. Multiplayer and adding addons is quick and straightforward. Performance is great out of the box. What I mean by full for Java is that many features have minute details to them that really add to the experience, like zombie reinforcements or dogs stopping the tilt to their heads after a bit. To add to that, advancements are built in and many are hidden, allowing the player to slowly discover them as they play. Redstone is more precise, yadda, yadda. And there are so many commands available there that aren’t in base Bedrock(apparently theres a version for marketplace devs that has even better commands than java). And responsiveness. I don’t know how the internal server works differently on bedrock and java, but bedrock’s can be sooo slow sometimes. Mob reaction times are ridiculous and their range feels so limited for that reason. Their behaviour and their pathfinding feels much dumber as a result. While I understand why it’s not a thing, the really slow response of xbox achievements really takes away from the experience. In short bedrock is the accessible, and easy to access version with minor sacrifices. Java is the exact experience, but noticeably at a cost of accessibility.

People are still randomly dying in Bedrock Edition, including the people who have tried the new harcore feature. Until they fix that, Hardcore IS STILL better on Java Edition.
Yeah, that's why they said it'll still be in Preview for potentially a long time, so they can try to iron those bugs out first. At least this'll get them to finally hustle on those. But yeah, I hope players will be helpful & report those bugs, so they'll be more likely to get fixed sooner.

Toycat when are they gonna be adding Hardcore? Like what time after 1.21 since they really want to iron everything out (which i really like and think is nice of them) any predictions?
Isn’t the spectator mode not generating chunks on Java a game rule you have to turn on?
I think that would be cool to have an "one life option" separated from hardcore, like you have one for mobs not spawning separated from peaceful. You could experiment with "easycore" speedruns and things like that.
Caught the stream of this before it was switched to Members Only status. So glad you felt comfortable sharing your news with us, Toycat! IYKYK 🤣
Great vid! Love the coverage on all the updates! I play on xbox and noticed the minor change today on the menu screen they changed 'copy world' to 'duplicate world' and put the delete button in red! They're defo covering their bases in areas of YOU WILL LOSE YOUR WORLD!
I would actually disagree that hardcore makes you become a better player. It makes you take fewer risks and become better at analyzing risk: if you don't know for certain that you can do something, then you won't do it so you don't risk dying. That is different from becoming a better player, where you are more skilled to handle difficult situations that require fast reactions or insane skill to survive.
I sort of predicted Hardcore mode would be harder in Bedrock before it actually came. Cause, like the wither for example.
Question? Will mojang ever add the java advancements system to bedrock? Cause i wanna get them all but got them in the past already so can’t, and also there are quite a few less than java has
Ah yes, boy do I wish I had keep inventory enabled in my Hardcore world.
13 years after Java, adding hardcore to Bedrock must have been the most difficult programming challenge known to man.
Proud of you for getting the hardcore death% speedrun WR, a category I'm claiming as my own invention. Also, "A hole right in front of my face" Toycat 2024
Toycat, what's your opinion on Java vs Bedrock Redstone? (I notice that there aren't a lot of Redstone machines in your let's play world.)
i dont see hows this is an advantage, hardcore isnt really an extra difficulty that was added, its is essentially deleting your world after you die once this can be done in literally any minecraft version with survival; hardcore in general sucks, instead of adding an actual new difficulty they just made this lazy thing where your world gets deleted,i wanted so bad an actual new difficulty "very hard" that would be awesome.
Will you able to convert legacy console worlds to hardcore when you transfer them to bedrock?
Yeah
Outro joke was smooth, 8/10! I might try a hardcore world when it comes out “for real”; would be something different, anyway! 🤔
Are there any downsides to having the beta version over the standard version of the game? For example, can it still be played offline or any restrictions? Just wanna know before I opt in.
You can't play servers unless it supports the beta which isn't very common.
Only that you can't play most servers, other than that no difference I lersonally barwly ever even downliad full releases,i just hop into newest beta...or wait a bit if i see there is usefull bug for players(like furnace xp glitch in 1.20 or 1.19 versions) and then after i get what i deem usefull i update
Hardcore is the best experience you can have with Minecraft, it honestly took a very long time for it to come to Bedrock edition.
Haha I loved the genuine excitement when you got the 3sec seed: "Chat.. chat! Chat! Chat! Chat! Chat! Chat!" *splat*
This would be perfect for me i started playing again after years and it would be fun to play again in the hardest difficulty and defeat the main 3 bosses dragon, warden, wither maybe some other minor boses like the ocean monuments and mansions
One thing that I would like in Minecraft is the debug screen, it will show you how many days you have played on that world
Hey Toycat, it's interesting that the 'how did we get here?' Advancement will be easier with the evil omen bottle? Kinda interesting
There's no real proof that the ominous potion gives 1, 2 or 3 effects in the achievement
i wish they added some red ui elements to the hardcore stuff in the menu, maybe the toggle and the create hardcore world button in the warning screen should be red.
Omg the death noise over and over at the end is chilling, lol
I really hope they allow more settings like mobGriefing for normal worlds w/o calling them cheats and disabling achievements. I agree it has no place in Hardcore but it feels just about as useful as having coordinates or disabling fire spread, settings that AREN'T classified as cheats. If anything it just feels inconsistent with what is or isn't preference 🤷♂
4:40 that's what we were able to do earlier just without the lock, Hardcore Mode Pointless, the only thing changes is the Heart Textures turning Hardcore
Honestly if I had a certain world spawn I could beat the death record by less than a second because the specific world spawns high enough in the air for a player to fall down and immediately die
i just had that happen spawned in and just died
you can get a 0 second (in speedrun terms) death by spawning inside water (or blocks, not sure if it's possible on bedrock)
Counter point, blocking with the sheild is a massive hassle in bedrock, dying to a creeper because you can't crotch in water is so fun.
it really isnt
I think I like how Hardcore is implemented in Java more because it lets you play how you want to play. Ignoring all the bugs in bedrock. But one can argue that’s not Hardcore mode if you change the settings to make things easier. Idk. Play how you want.
You're a good content creator but sometimes it's difficult to watch when creators hate on something they don't prefer in video after video (Java). I realise you use this for clicks, but Java vs bedrock is just as childish as console vs PC or Xbox vs PlayStation. Each has their pros and cons, people should just play what they feel is best without feeling like your version is bad - bedrock and java player
THANK YOU! The only reason this argument still exists is because the Java community can't stop talking about a version of minecraft they barely ever touch.
He's not hating, he still plays java
No bedrock rules😎
@legolloyd2009 Yes but he still gives bedrock a chance. For the 99% of players that DONT give bedrock a chance my point still stands.
@Bobbybats4295 Bedrock isn't better but it's often overhated because Xbox edition exists.
Can cheats be turned on while in the world, like java?
Okay, I understand if you personally prefer this approach to Hardcore, but in no way is it _objectively_ better. Minecraft is meant to be a game you can play however you want, with whatever settings you want. Sure, Hardcore is meant to be the most difficult, and I can understand having it change certain options to achieve that, but actively _locking_ options away just feels contradictory to the game's core theme of personalized playstyle.
You should be allowed ceep inventory in hardcor
Lol
I mean, not really, as multiplayer need the stuff to drop if the dead want or allow other that are still alive to pick up the stuff that didn't disapear, burned or hit those spikey thing in the desert (Hard to say the english name for me sometimes).
@@claudetheclaudeqc6600 Ooh, that's an excellent point, actually! 🙀 (And, to help you, the word is Cactus. 🌵 Plural can either be "cactuses" or "cacti", both are acceptable.)
Y'all in comments talking about this random dying bedrock bugs, yes they still occur. I was playing in my bedrock world once and i built above a lava pool to get some diamonds. My lil bro was watching the area so no skeletons could hit me. Little did i know that bedrock has some bugs that make you die randomly. I was bridging up then i just glitched, it showed my air bubbles, blacked out, then said "RayzeonYT fell from a high place". So yeah these bugs still exist.
I like Hardcore isn't just a harder difficulty, but that the no respawning makes you play the game in a very different way. Some friends and I in the early game just kill ourselves to restore hunger in the early game, can't do that in hardcore. Getting down from a tall place or getting back to spawn/a settlement is also something you actually have to do and not just rely on the respawn mechanic. It is a more careful way of playing the game that makes you tackle certain challenges, such as the Dragon fight or mining in general, in a way you wouldn't do it in a usual Survival world.
2:42 "was a hole right in front of my face" - Toycat
how do you know how many days you last on hardcore bedrock?
i can never play bedrock hardcore because the constant fear of losing my world to randomly taking infinite damage or falling through the floor would be too much
Makes perfect sense! In World of Warcraft Hardcorde it is Fall Damage that killz the most player and most frequent. Also drowning is a thing
Will hardcore for bedrock be part of the 1.21 update when it releases?
I never thought I would see so MANY deaths just in this video alone, intentional or otherwise.
I doubt I will ever try hardcore on bedrock. I still have a constant problem where going through a nether portal is a coin flip as to whether or not a mob is going to kill you while the game still says “Building Terrain”. This is on my realm, so perhaps that is the problem but either way, I would be so angry if a lost a hardcore world to a glitch.
reminds me of one time i was playing on a friend's server, got dc'ed and then when i rejoined it got stuck on 'joining world' for like a minute straight and by the time i could play i was dead and i lost everything
How do you do whatever in hardcore? Carefully.
You should make a video about "dying in bedrock harcore mode using bedrock death bugs"
I think you should be allowed to disable mob griefing
Hardcore is indeed better in bedrock. Last time, I jumped into water from a 3 block hight and died. Bedrock Hardcore finally removed the op water physics...........
5:49 imagine being glad about having choices taken away!
Just saw the stream, died on the hardcore stream lol
I was playing a hardcore world in Java (one of my first) i usually play survival so i don't die often in normal difficulty at night in the hardcore world there was no mob spawning i was confused but then skeleton appeared and i thought i can easily dodge it's arrows like in survival but all the arrows landed on me i was so low ran to my house which didn't have a roof the spider killed me and of course i deleted the world hardcore is kinda exciting as survival player i am great bedrock players are getting it
I own Minecraft on the ps5 and I got a PC recently should I by java edition or should I stick to my bedrock version on my PlayStation
5:43 "you can't just decide you want keep inventory on" but why you would want keep inventory in hardcore? Just why?
I beat the ender dragon for the first time on hardcore. I had my hardcore world from 2019 to 2023 and I didn't lose my world cause I died, my pc did. But hardcore is a great way to get comfortable with the game. I went from peaceful only playthroughs straight into hardcore and now I play regular survival and rarely if ever die.
0:36 if this sound played every time i died, it would make dying much less frustrating 😂
"No one can tell you what you can or can not do" that is all I have to say on Java vs Bedrock hardcore.
0:36 That sound has filled me with nostalgia
So which version of bedrock? Preview or normal?
In hardcore, if u sleep and if u avoid fall damage, there is no other way to die unless you have a skill issue
Not just Mojang wanting everyone to go to bedrock since it's the sole money maker these days and they can't do anything about third party servers or modding in Java, so they add much better features as bait
Love your content keep up the great work
I see Java players have entered the chat. So sensitive. So hurt. Honestly tho, I don’t get it. I have both and prefer bedrock vanilla. It’s not that deep. I hope, but doubt, it stays more difficult on bedrock. We’ll have to see how parity goes. It it means changing both games to be the same based on the best mechanics or if it means moving bedrock closer and closer to Java until they’re the same. Imo, If u want an easier time, play a different, non hardcore, world. If you want a challenge, play your hardcore world. Some days I come home after the longest day, play on peaceful, and just build with the music playing in the background. Other days I want to play without any farms. Just grind. Different moods, different worlds. I get the attachment factor to a particular world but attachment and hardcore shouldn’t be the marriage you strive for. You’re just asking to be upset at that point.
0:48 i have. It was day 1128 and i got super low because of a charged creeper enclosure explosion, i forgot what enchants i had but my armor was tanky. I after running from that mess that got created, i went to my xp farm cuz it was the closest and i had food there… On the way (because i lived in a taiga biome) I stepped into a sweet berry bush, instakilling me. For how this happened, i took of my armor after the explosion to go mend my elytra (thus i was close to my xp farm). I was at half a heart and unfortunately died. BY A SWEET BERRY BUSH.
Are shaders coming with this update?
When does the official update drop for bedrock on console?
So, their is Peaceful Mode, Easy Mode, Normal Mode, Hard Mode, and then HardCore Mode. While most of the modes you can Easily Respawn, in HardCore mode, Once You Die, it’s GAME OVER.
My husband calls me silly for using my first 4 iron for a shield and a bucket. He'll be eating those words once hardcore is out. An iron pickaxe can wait until I'm safe. Hopefully they fix the nether portal issues by the time HC is released. I've died a few times from suffocating in those while they take forever to load. I even had a lava fall kill me once before the nether loaded.
Really? IMO making a shield first is definitely the correct choice. They're the most op item in the game for their cost, and obviously you know this. I won't say I always DO build the shield first, because I'm easily distracted and can't follow a strategy to save my life, but absolutely I'm with you that it's a smart use of your first 4 iron over a pick or sword etc The bucket? 🤷 idk what the rationale is, there, but you do you! You're now untouchable with a mighty God-wall, so who cares what you build 😂
Taking this video out of context is the wildest thing ever

Currently Hardcore is projected for spring 2024 per official sources.

Based on the title, I thought this video was an April Fools joke because you can still die to "ghost" damage in Bedrock.
What I want to know is how is the bedrock Wither on hardcore? Did they tone it down for it? Or is it still hard difficulty Wither?
odd because random bugs and glitches that can kill you for no reason would normally not be good for a game where you have 1 life, guess losing everything just because of one bug means that it's better, makes total sense
i love the propraganda
when is it releasing fully
I wish bedrock had the Java spectator where you could see through the mobs vision
smh it’s annoying that i can’t have keep inventory on my hardcore world
he had to wait for herdcore to come out to speedrun dying.

Are you alright this video feels like some sort o projection
6:00 damn can't believe I can't keep my inventory on death in hardcore
That's likely for multiplayer, so others can pick up your stuff if you die, or you can do the same to them.
I think there needa to be more bosses to give challenging goals for hardcore mode. Fighting the same 3 bosses exclusively will get boring for me, but if its like terraria with 20 or so bosses then preparing for boss fights would be more fun plus the challenge of finding the bosses and exploring the world
When will it release on consoles
