I’m 5’8” and a short older woman once told me to leave the heals for the short women. I just said, “well I like wearing them.” I’m still learning to love my height since it’s always been one of my biggest insecurities, but comments like those make me embrace my tall stature 😉

Tall girl pride! I'm 5'8" and I love 4 inch heels. I have arthritis in my feet (retired dancer), so I can rarely wear them anymore, but when I was a high heels wearing teenager, I would dump any guy who had a problem with me being taller than them in heels. It became a running issue, so i started only dating tall guys. 6'5" 6'1" 6'7" and then married my 6'4" husband. Can't wait to have tall daughters with him so they can be intimidating Amazons, too.

As an extremely short asian woman in their 20s who's pretty much surrounded by giants all the time yet refuses to wear heels despite feeling like a kid, I would say just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and attractive. If you think a pair of heels go better with a dress, wear them. Don't waste your time and resources to settle for an alternative just because a certain, perfectly matched pair of shoes makes you look taller.

I’m 5’11” and through my 20’s I loved wearing 3 or 4” heels. One lady at church called my patent leather red heels “hooker shoes.” 😂😂😂 anyway, I injured my ankle at 30 and there goes wearing heels ever again. My husband literally never cared if I wore tall heels. He’s already shorter than me so it’s NBD.

You can likely still wear heels. It would just take some work doing physical therapy and ankle strengthening and stretching exercises (and really it would be good to do anyways for your long term health). Never say never!

I had to buy small heels for my sisters wedding because I’m 5’8” so if I wear a 4” heel I’m 6’ tall and she’s 5’1” and everyone else in the bridal party is 5’3” or below. Thankfully for other occasions it doesn’t matter what size heels I wear because my fiancé is 6’5” so he’ll always be taller ❤😂

I have arthritis in my feet (retired dancer), so I can rarely wear them anymore, but when I was a high heels wearing teenager, I would dump any guy who had a problem with me being taller than them in heels. It became a running issue, so i started only dating tall guys. 6'5" 6'1" 6'7" and then married my 6'4" husband. Can't wait to have tall daughters with him so they can be intimidating Amazons, too.

As an extremely short asian woman in their 20s who's pretty much surrounded by giants all the time yet refuses to wear heels despite feeling like a kid, I would say just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and attractive. If you think a pair of heels go better with a dress, wear them. Don't waste your time and resources to settle for an alternative just because a certain, perfectly matched pair of shoes makes you look taller.

One lady at church called my patent leather red heels “hooker shoes.” 😂😂😂 anyway, I injured my ankle at 30 and there goes wearing heels ever again. You can likely still wear heels. It would just take some work doing physical therapy and ankle strengthening and stretching exercises (and really it would be good to do anyways for your long term health). Never say never!

I had to buy small heels for my sisters wedding because I’m 5’8” so if I wear a 4” heel I’m 6’ tall and she’s 5’1” and everyone else in the bridal party is 5’3” or below. Thankfully for other occasions it doesn’t matter what size heels I wear because my fiancé is 6’5” so he’ll always be taller ❤😂
