Agreed
Microsoft is greedy, Notch is now half depressed, Jeb is carrying all and still he doesn't have that much to do, as Microsoft now makes the moves. It's not an indie cute game anymore, it's just profitable software.

It funny how nearly a whole generation grew up playing this game. To others, it may seem silly of how we cry whenever we hear the songs playing from it. But to us, it reminds us of the good days. It almost seems as if we have all grown up to quickly, and this is the only thing that we remember playing from our 'child hood'. Thanks Mojang, for everything.
I've actually been the same age as Minecraft
And I was playing in 2012 or 2013
Fr, im actually surprised that I cried because of this all the memories just hit me right in the feels
Man I feel rlly sorry for the kids of the newer generation they r never going to experience wat we did
Yes 🥺
Let’s be honest here, we never finished building that city.
nope.... i made the tallest building ever! **crying**
Damn, oh damn that hurts
well as a kid i never did. i sure tried to make it tho!
i remember building like 5 huge buildings and i called it my city, me and my cousin were working on it and our older cousin got jelous that our city was getting attention so he deleted it, he didnt admit it at that time but a few years later he laughed it off. it was actually my first good world i had, i cried so hard when i couldnt find it. no hard feelings towards him tho

very boring coming from someone who didn't play minecraft growing up. i'm seeing all these people getting nostalgic over their experiences and the whole game is amazing. i've played a few times but i'm not very good. i wish i'd played it when i was younger but oh well.
@@boronaxe3241 It was okay back then, it's only gotten worse due to our fanbase. Some of the games have real time and effort put into them though, you should really try the less popular games before the stereotypical ones.

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late-night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone, a few pens, paper, or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heating pad, a blanket, a good lamp, or your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸 ( This comment isn't originally mine, but I think it can help a lot of people :) ) If I could can this be pinned? We all started from a block, we were too young to play seriously so we went to the villages to destroy everything, when we grew up we started playing on multiplayer servers: Hunger Games, Bedwars, creative, buildbattle.. We stayed in front of the computer all day in those hot August months where the only worry was not to die of boring. Complaints from our parents telling us we needed to hang out more, but we had our friends on discord that we met online. Now we have grown up, we no longer have time to play, we think about our future, work, girlfriend and grades at school. Yet before I go to sleep I sit on the bed and still think about that creeper who destroyed my house.. (sorry for my english, I'm Italian)
It is fine 😢 my English bad too (But we are brothers) And we stay love Minecraft
Im italian too💀😭😭
It still better than my sentence

Fav quote cuz it's true.
We played, we tried We laughed, we cried We succeeded, we died We respawned and thrived From the zombies, to the endermen From the skeletons, to the pigmen From the spiders and creepers And from those annoying griefers From the biome of jungle to sands To the mushrooms and other obscure lands From the snow and ice To the swamps which never looked too nice From the moments with friends we’ll cherish From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish From the great animations To the KZhead sensations Along with those musical incantations I thank Mojang for creating my childhood Much better than just ‘good’ I think I speak for everyone here When I say this is not game of the year It’s the game of the century As it offered us plenty And these memories will never leave Just like the thought of first playing as Steve So I say close your eyes And listen to the music with surprise As your memories of Minecraft where once apart But now can be fixed like a broken heart In order to find your memories core You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime One last thing, for me to say Which would be, have a nice day Also for you to never forget this game Nor the journey that came As apart of that journey was the end Quite literally, not pretend Just like this poem, which I hope you all read As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead. This isn’t mine but wanted to spread these beautiful words

Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen.” “They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players, witches and warlocks. And players dreamed, they flew through the air, on sticks powered by demons.” “What did this player dream?” “This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of Fire and Water. It dreamed and created. It dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.” “Hah, the original interface. A million years old, and it still works. But what true structure did this player create, in the reality behind the screen?” “It worked, with a million others, to sculpt a true world in a fold of the [scrambled], and created a [scrambled] for [scrambled] in the [scrambled].” “It cannot read that thought.” … “No. It has not yet achieved the highest level. That, it must achieve in the long dream of life, not the short dream of a game.” “Does it know that we love it? That the universe is kind?” “Sometimes, through the noise of its thoughts, it hears the universe, yes. But there are times it is sad, in the long dream. It creates a worlds that have no summer, and it shivers under a black sun, and it takes it’s sad creation for reality. To cure its sorrow would destroy it. The sorrow is part of its own private task. We cannot interfere.” “Sometimes when they are deep in their dreams, I want to tell them, they are building true worlds of reality, and their importance to the universe. Sometimes, when they have not made a true connection in a while, I want to help them speak the word they fear.” “It reads our thoughts.” “Sometimes I do not care. Sometimes I wish to tell them, this world you take for truth is merely [scrambled] and [scrambled]. They see so little of reality, in their long dream.” “And yet they play the game” “But it would be so easy to tell them.” “Too strong for this dream z to tell them how to live is to prevent them from living.” “I will not tell the player how to live” “The player is growing restless.” “I will tell the player a story” “But not the truth” “No. A story that contains the truth safely, in a cage of words. Not the naked truth that can burn over any distance.” “Give it a body again.” “Shush… sometimes the player reads lines of code on a screen. Decoded them into words; words into meaning; meaning into feelings emotions, theories, ideas, and the player started to breathe faster and deeper and it realized it was alive, it was alive, those thousand deaths had not been real, the player was alive. And sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the light that fell from the crisp night sky of winter, where a fleck of light in the corner of the player's eye might be a star a million times as massive as the sun, boiling its planets to plasma in order to be visible for a moment to the player, walking home at the far side of the universe, suddenly smelling food, almost at the familiar door, about to dream again. And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love. You are the player. WAKE UP.

You know, nostalgia is a bittersweet feeling. You get to reminisce on good memories you had, and it’s nice. You remember how much fun you used to have, and how happy you were. Yet, at some point you stopped doing these things, or at least it changed. You’ve grown up. You’ve gotten older. You no longer get to feel or witness those experiences again. And even if you could, it isn’t the same. Nostalgia is bittersweet for these reasons.

I like how we all, as a fandom, feel the same way when we hear the old soundtrack. Makes me realize that even if it’s just something small and “insignificant,” I’m not alone in the world when it comes to something :] you guys were and are my first home outside of my house, even if I don’t know you.
listening to this makes me smile, yet it still brings me tears. I still play Minecraft even if my parents and friends make fun of me, none of that matters to me. all the maters is that I'm still having fun and enjoying a great game. Remember all the fun times you had when you were younger, remember playing split screen at your friends house and finding diamonds for the first time thinking you owned the world. Remember trying to build huge cities and castles but never finished, remember all the adventures you would go on with friends. and what about the secret bases that you would make even though you knew you couldn't play with anyone. remember all the late night sleep overs and you all played Minecraft and got scared at the sounds in the caves and mobs jumped scared all of you. Just remember even though you can't go back, be happy that it happened and that you smiled and laughed, remember that you had fun and didn't have a care in the world. remember playing the mini games, and having a blast. Just because people, maybe even your own parents might make fun of you doesn't mean you should stop, if you truly love something keep going and have fun. go and open your old Minecraft worlds if you can. Keep having fun. go play Minecraft and make new memories, they might not be as impacting as the old ones but still, go have fun, make new ones build that city that you always wanted to build. let this music bring back the memories, the good times and write them down so you can go back later and read it and have a laugh. I'm 13 and yes people make fun of me for playing Minecraft but who cares, I know that everyone reading this can agree. Minecraft is a true masterpiece, and shall never be forgotten. go play Minecraft when your sad, go play with friends, or just watch the sun set with your dog. Go rewatch all you favorite Minecraft videos, tear up and relax, remember the good days. Minecraft is for everyone if someone treats you bad for it, don't listen to them keep playing the game you love, the game that made you happy, that game that made you smile when you had a bad day. I might not be that old to be wise and remember things from the old Minecraft and all but I do know one thing for sure, and it's that we used to get annoyed at the music and fight over the diamonds, we made army's of dogs and watched all our favorite KZheadrs play adventure maps and could not wait for the next episode. I want all of you to remember one thing, and that one thing is ,that no matter what happens in life stay focused on your dreams and never let anyone push you down, keep driving forward and persevere through tough times, and if you need a break go play Minecraft. Thank you for taking your time and reading this I really appreciate it, now what are you waiting for. Go have fun, Go Play Minecraft!
U LEGEND I CRIED
it’s sad to think about how many worlds we created and then forgot about. how they’ll most likely never be played again. how many dogs are still sitting down in the corner of our houses waiting for us to load back in. how many cities we were so hyped to build but never finished. honestly this game was such a big part of my childhood and all of ours. thank you mojang
nearly cried when u said the thing ab the dogs... Riley is in some world
Well, i don't know if im the only one, but i certainly had little to no dogs in my lost Minecraft worlds (I'm playing since 2014) and i personally find dogs pretty useless but i don't mean to offend anyone with this, is just because of my character,
you got me in the heart my dooooogs 😣❤
I felt so bad for not playing, i cared so much about my pets
man… reminds me of how long my brother and i spent on our world, how many dogs i had, how sad i got whenever they died. The good memories i have from those times… i’m not sure i’ll ever get a simple joy like that any time soon, if ever. I know it sounds kinda dumb talking about a videogame like it’s a person or a place, but this was my childhood. staying up “late” on summer nights playing with my friends and brothers, making stupid jokes and stupider builds. I miss it.

Goosebumps, childhood and so many good memories.Minecraft is a masterpiece and a legend.
Steadily once a month I listen to soundtracks from minecraft, it evokes pleasant nostalgia for the time when I was so carefree, when I didn’t think about tomorrow but only about today, I remember not the time when I learned about minecraft, but what I was like when it happened Previously, I listened to certain tracks past my ears, but now I realized that they somehow got stuck in my head and stuck tightly like a click into the past for a couple of minutes. I don’t know why I’m writing this, I’m generally a private person, and it’s unlikely that anyone will read this, just let it stay here, but if I read it, I’ll just be surprised that someone... then he’s interested in these posts, maybe these are the same people who came here to get some experience, okay... just have a nice day! we can do it.

Dude, now you have me almost crying reading this. For some reason this just means a lot.
Life always finds a way of shooting you down just this year I lost almost all my friends but if you stay strong you'll realise things take time you'll meet new people, play new games and most importantly you'll live life.
Bro, this hits me so nostalgic, I'm from the last piece of Gen Z, but at least I grew up with this memories in my mind, I'm from Brazil, and here the Minecraft comunnity was so strong, and I started to cry, when I listened to Sweden...😢✊

I had a rough day and I was gone in a second laying in bed thanks to this music ❤
these songs are so bittersweet. it reminds me of a simpler time when i would sit on the couch with my parents and brother and just chill and play minecraft. we laughed, messed around, built towns, and worked towards our own goals. i took all of it for granted, and now those are the best memories i could ask for. i cant ever go back. i wish i could. i wish i could go back in time to relive that life. but now, the only song i know how to play on piano is subwoofer lullaby.
these soundtracks help me remember a time when the world was simpler, I had no problems, and when my friends were still alive ... all I have now is the memories and this soundtrack
I’m so sorry to hear that about your friends 🙁 I hope you are doing well tho

what hurts most is remembering how i’d sit in a dark room at my grandparents house playing minecraft. man it was so peaceful then-
I remember my brothers and I fighting all the time when we were kids. And as soon as my brothers wanted to break the argument they would say "Hey, wanna watch us play minecraft?" My eyes would go big and say yes. We would be in a hot room in the summer for hours and hours and not care. When it was dinner time, my mom would yell to get us to come downstairs stairs to eat. Minecreaft was our safe haven whenever we were fighting or our parents fighting. What an amazing game and music track this was. Truly👏👏

This is what you heard while building your house on single player in the summer of 2013, late at night after your parents had gone to bed. The window is open and you dont know it yet but youre living out one of your favorite memories. Youll look back on this fondly and with a bitter sense of nostalgia in years to come as things start getting worse and worse and you wish you could be that kid again, 12 years old and oblivious, playing minecraft on a warm, rainy summer night.
Damn, You gave me an inspiration thanks.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The C418 note marked my childhood and brings back many memories of when I played Minecraft in 2012 when I was 7 years old. Thank you Minecraft for making me have a very good time regardless of my loneliness and all video gamesI still remember that house in the snow at night while that song was playing
I will just say this. The current musicians have made some great pieces of music, it is true. But not as good as C418's. He was the original music maker for this game. And no-one else can say that. It's his music I love the MOST. Above all others.

From all the worlds lost to either new storage or data corruption, to all the friends made and lost along the way, to all the servers played on. We will never forget the times we spent mining for hours on end to get just enough blocks for the new house, or how many times we died to a skeleton getting the drop on us. As we age, our memory begins to fail. But true memories aren't kept in our minds. They're kept in our hearts. And the heart never forgets.

When i was younger i had a dog her name was ara she was there my whole life acting like a 3rd parent when she got older she had to stay at my grandparents because we were in the center of the city and couldnt take her for walks, but we would still visit quite frequently. A few years back my mom rushed into my room crying and she told me that Ara died of old age(she was 16 and a half years of age), I was devastated i cried for what felt like four whole days, and today i still remember her and when im feeling down i visit my old minecraft world where i have a dog named ara and reminess that if she were here she would push me and force me to keep going and not give up. I tear up every time i listen to the minecraft ots, thank you C418 and Notch for the great memories that i will never forget.
This is the game that shaped a good portion of my early childhood. I’m off to college and starting a new life. Started this game when I was 9 years old. Minecraft will always be special to me. Thank you Minecraft🙏🙏
I’m going on a little rant but still idc. These songs remind me of the warm summer nights I’d be playing on my Xbox 360 and not think about how in 8 years time I’ll be such a different person. Although I miss the carefree days of playing Minecraft for hours on end, building worlds and surviving alongside friends who became like family, those cherished memories of pure joy and connection remain etched in my heart despite the busyness of adult life that has since consumed me; whenever I hear the nostalgic tunes of Minecraft music, I'm transported back to that special time, and tears threaten to fall as I long for the opportunity to recapture that youthful bliss, if only for a moment. 😢
When the beat hits is like a shockwave of memories coming right thru your entire body
Nothing hits harder than just laying in your room alone in the dark listening to this, remembering all the memories, not just Minecraft but just life back then. Peaceful and fun times.

I'm not an emotional person, but when I listen to these songs, I feel immense nostalgia. Hey, I would like to thank my family, my friends, every moment of happiness that God has given me, every tear, every outburst of anger, every memory, I never imagined myself crying with Minecraft when I was little, but here I am now, thanks for this mojang masterpiece, and thanks to myself for reminding myself, that through fits and starts, I'm still human
Ah yes, the game that brings us back to when we thought everything was normal and nothing could go wrong. The days when multiplayer wasn’t a thing so you and your friends would try to find each other on completely different maps. The days when you would bug your dad to play it with and get irritated when he asked how the controls worked every time. The days when we used to watch people make buildings and use mods but now they are just a figment of our nostalgic journey. Thank you Minecraft for making our childhoods become actual childhoods and let us be kids when times where rough.
Damn bro how did you know all that... are we the same???🤪
This made me cry...I wish we could go back... "wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days"
Deep I actually wasn't with it that long (sense 2017 maybe) and totally relate. Bc I recently graduated, I'm getting very emotional when remembering highlights like Minecraft. It made my short childhood that much sweeter. Idk what it is about Sweden reverb that's so sad. Slow piano music is the most cliche sad but it works😭😭😄😄

It was a different game back then, at least it feels like it was. Nothing relates to the feeling the game had, the somber lonely but yet comfortable feeling. Thanks Mojang, for all the memories. 😕
It's weird, an entire generation hears a few notes from a song in a game with square blocks and we get memories. Mojang did good
Yeah, it just reminds me of 8 years ago when I first started playing Minecraft.
Oh where have the 2013's to 2016's gone
"You never quit Minecraft, you just take really long breaks"
C418 is an absolute musical genius. As an amateur musician myself, I am constantly blown away by the quality he put into the music for a game that, at the time, was relatively small. The nuance of his music is incredible. I don't want this to drag on, but I feel most would agree that C418's tracks helped define Minecraft. Just walking, alone, while a melancholic track plays in the background. These tracks aren't theme songs or battle music, nor specific to a place or moment, yet they fit nearly every situation perfect. C418's tracks are some of the best examples of video-game music, hands down, and I think everyone would agree that all credit is deserved.
The sentimentality behind Minecraft's soundtrack is hard to explain, especially to younger people who have never played Minecraft. And quite frankly I don't think that it is explainable. I think if you played Minecraft when you were younger, it's almost like returning to an old house with a familiar smell. But, back then, you didn't notice the smell (or the music in this case.) However, when you come back to it, you're taken back to that time that you remember as being the most worry-free time of your life. Yeah, maybe it is "just a block game" and sure, maybe you feel silly for crying at it, but It's not the game that made it so amazing, perhaps not even the music- but it's the memories that you made that made it so enjoyable. That's what gives this soundtrack it's originality, nostalgia, and tear-jerking factor. It feels like home.
Everytime i hear those music, i feel like... empty. It's really hard to explain (like you said) but personnally i'm feeling nostalgic because Minecraft helped to "get out" and set my mind totally out of the real world. It helped me so much, but now (i'm 18 but played the game since the beginning) when I play to the game, it doesn't feel the same way than before. I don't have this weird happy feeling that I felt before. But yeah, this feeling is unexplainable and i don't know if i'm crying of happiness or sadness. Normaly i don't usually cry, but hearing that... it's impossible to not cry.
@@shyclow9868 biggest facts ive heard in a while
Im still a kid, and I’ve only played Minecraft for about 5 years. So like half of my life I’ve played it, I still remember when dolphins and fish weren’t a thing and there were only squids. I still remember when Minecraft added the new textures. I remember making houses in ravines, with like 50 pet dogs. Even though I’m not the oldest, Minecraft is still a part of my life that me and my friends will never let go of most likely.
Somehow comparing it to an old home you come back to made so much sense, it's really silly but thinking about visiting my old worlds again feels like coming back to your hometown just to realize there are no people left but just memories
i know like you did not take the sounds to be sad back then and now the sounds that were once happy are now sad to us who played on anxbox 360 or old ps3 or 2 back in 2016 or 2014
