    • @@BatsiraiMusuka But if there wasn't war, how would sociopaths running/in bed with crony capitalism profit from peace? Also, how would the superpowers benefit from their ability to dictate preferable trade agreements? (Edit: The above is both irony and sarcasm...of course it's morally horrible. I do mostly mean what I wrote below this, even though it's somewhat messed up. The major takeaway from Political Science classes is that the world is messed up. Of course I'd prefer a world where we spend money more efficiently on innovation to help everyone, become a multi-planetary species, etc., but that's unrealistic idealism). An equitable world would mean we all make like $8000/yr. Being born in the 1st world is already like top 10% dice roll in luck. I'm perfectly happy with the system we've got, flaws and all.

Yongbyon nuclear complex says this is not true you can use sat imagery to look at past years and more current, and you will notice the lack of a white build-up along the river is minimal in comparison, it is not snow but a sign. The LWR supplied by the Russians is not in operation currently due to amazing Russian engineering. I worked on the peninsula with the Army for 6 years, this was one of my main duties. Generals have cool stars, not always all the information, just another way to give people something to fear and reasoning to justify more money. Order is sent -> Received and Verified -> Decodified and Verified -> Recollection and Verification of CO & XO Codes -> CO Gives the order -> XO Confirms (or denies) the order -> Weapon is deployed. I know from second-hand sources (I never served anywhere close a nuclear weapons facility, to my knowledge, or submarine) that it's a very strict protocol to the point the most miniscule error in any step means a nuclear warhead won't be deployed.
