a Chinese American fluent in Spanish wearing a Netherlands jacket. nice.
That is called cultural diversity! ;)
i think it's awesome, it's just crazy.
I've been rooting through the eaters list for your videos...Very interesting analysis. Thanks!
there's something shifty about him that i don't really like
That’s typical in NY and California.
That old man just stole his pizza.
+Steven Silva That's how they get you. It's the old "teach and take". Never trust a Longhorn fan. - PB
+Steven Silva who cares
+Eater - lol. 😂😂😂 "teach and take." they get me all the time.
R. Young You're an idiot. You just elaborated on what I was telling you. I didn't need to re read my comment in a vile way you have described it. Scorning me for pointing out the obvious, that there was a camera present, customers were walking in and out, with this guy talking and asking questions, and then an entertaining gentleman appears, who happens to be a regular. Why wouldn't they get him into the shot? Look at how much pizza the dude ordered anyways. My POINT still stands that he wasn't intrusive at all. With a cameraman and a reporter present ITS NOT INTRUDING.
+R. Young Love how you continue to insist that he was "intrusive" even when the fucking host just told you he wasn't.
I don't know why but I like this Lucas Peterson guy. Great job Eater
+Zachary Park Same, subscribing because of how good of a host he is. I feel like all of his videos are chill and down to earth.
yeh he is better than the fake Brit
+Zachary Park He's a really polite chill guy who loves what he's doing and you can tell 11/10, would hang out and eat pizza with
I don't know....there's something just unnatural about him like it's "put on" and deliberate. Like an act. The way he walks and the way he touches the food with his hands. Creepy.
that old guy teaching him how to eat clearly just wants free pizza XD
damn this is great! never thought about heading over to Staten Island for a food trip but this changes the game!
eyyy both your chanels are tight, much love from australia!
+Brothers Green Eats thanks for watching!! we love your channel :)
+John Le thanks for the love!!
+Brothers Green Eats woah.. good seeing u guys here ha!
Brothers Green Eats I'm planning to go to Staten island with my family
Old man tells him to fold pie in half... Eats vodka pie without folding
3:34 that crafty fucker just wanted a free slice.
Shut up minority, he was right.
very happy that guy corrected the eating of a slice
I know right?
+Lucas Peterson Haha, glad that guy was there to show ya!
+patrick busche Naaa. I like the normal way :P If I want a sandwich I'll get a sandwich
+patrick busche Everyone has their "way" of eating pizza. I don't fold, I start at the tip. Enjoy. Peace.
+Jack Wongen Agreed, it's a bit condescending when someone tries to correct or tell you how to eat pizza.
Can't stop binge-watching this series! Great job, @LucasPeterson
Wow Staten Island getting some recognition! Some other places that you could check out are Denino's, Gennaro's, Goodfellas, and Nunzios.
Also Lee's
RIP Gennaros 😭... Brothers is now the best!
laxfan727 rip gennaros 😭 goodfellas is good
Nunzios yes a good pie !
RIP Nunzios 🙏🏼
why do I watch this when i'm hungry
great profile pic man
#truestory
Out of the the three hosts, I enjoy watching Lucas the most! He's super chill. More videos more often please! =]
this is one of the most fantastic series i've ever seen. i really appreciate how you've hit up so many places in LA just low key killin' it. keep it up!!! i hope to see you around randomly cruising the streets of LA, tho you in NYC cheatin on us
That old dude just wanted some free pizza lmao
So glad I live across the street from them. SI Italian born and raised, I would recommend Denino's as well.
As a Brooklyn transplant from Staten Island, a LOT of people undermine the cuisine of this borough. If I'm not mistaken, 1 out of 3 people are of Italian descent on Staten Island. It definitely has the best pizzerias in NYC if not the world. If you get a chance, Denino's has pretty spectacular, unusual pies and the original location of Ralph's ices is located across the street. Ralph's is only open in the warmer months.
I wouldn't say the world lol. Italian pizza from Italy is leaps & bounds better than Staten Island pizza. I also revoke d trying the pizza at eataly
@@JJJosh949 Nah. Italian pizza is not better than New York. I've had a lot of both. Pizza may have been created in Italy, but it was perfected in New York.
we all immigrated here from brooklyn.
@@JMAZZ80 ✔️🎯
You an awesome job bro! Love all you videos.
Lucas Peterson, best host! Can't wait to see more.
a truly amazing series and i am dying to fly from singapore to new york to try all of lucas' recommendations; lucas is also super cute
I like Lucas, he has that air of good guy around him. I would like him as my Big brother and a mentor.
OMG..That looks incredible,
I've watched a lot of "best pizza" videos but this one is truly a beautiful looking pie the way others were not. Damn I wish I could try it!
can't do much for you but I subbed and liked👌👌🖒🖒 nice channel I like it
This Lucas guy asks some good questions. I was wondering why they pound the dough instead of stretching it, I had no idea stretching causes bubbles.
Lucas in my home. Love it. Would have opted for Denino's my guy.
My grandpa always brought me there when I was a little girl. It's my #1 favorite pizza place in the world. I went there for my 16th and 17th birthday and also after I graduated Highschool.
Gosh, I'm fasting and it's an hour to go. Plus we're having pizza today haha
Quilliam Attari what is the point of fasting
Demonic Joker in our religion Islam muslims have to fast for one month it is actually really good for your body from morning to sunset 🌅
Wow! The technique for the dough is fantastic. I like the point made about avoiding the creation of giant burnt bubbles of crust. Not an emphasis on burnt bubbled crust like so many silly trendy foodie NY City pizza places. I would not fold the slice, I would just get a double cut so the slices were half the size and more manageable.
rockin' that popped collar.
I was about to flip a shit with him eating the pizza like that, and then that old new Yorker came to the rescue.
only bums fold pizza, like seriously, go eat a sandwich.
Great content. great camera work. Great personality! U just got a new subscriber!
Thanks for subscribing!
I love thin crust pizzas and these looked so thinlicious! 👌
Yes! More pizza videos please!
Try Not Ray's pizza in brooklyn. Definitely gives this place some competition. I think the reason why this place in staten island is overlooked is because getting to staten island is ridiculously out of the way. It's time they built a tunnel to let the subway connect staten island with either brooklyn or manhattan
dude has an awesome job
U always meet the coolest people
3:11 That snap though!
Next time I'm on Staten Island I have to check this out. Vodka sauce on pizza, sounds like a great idea. If you are near Pratt Institute (Bed Stuy/Clinton Hill area) check out Tony's Pizza Spot at Classon/De Kalb, BK. Full Moon at 187/Arthur Ave. BX makes a killer slice.
Barardis on castleton ave... brothers on victory blvd...
LOVE THE NETHERLANDS JACKET
My brother used to live a block from Joe and Pat's for about two years. We'd always stop in for lunch at least twice when I went to visit him.
Damn! I miss a great NY pizza! I'm extremely jealous. But yeah, folding the slice is the way to go. Makes it easier to eat too. Never knew SI had good pizza - or good anything for that matter. I always just made fun of it because if the stench from the landfills. Another great video. Looking forward to more. Greek food next maybe? From Queens? Or obviously some Chinese from Chinatown or Flushing?
Don't worry Staten Island got rid of the landfill and is making a park out of the whole thing. And Staten Island got one of the best pizzas in NYC! Brooklyn has some good pizza too
Pple always talk about S.I having a lot of Italians and don’t expect good pizza out here is so backwards lmfao that’s all S.I got to offer is pizza
SI pizza has always been good just like the rest of NY
I was born on Staten Island in 1963. I remember eatingJoe & Pats pizza as a kid. They made me the pizza snob and lover that I am today! They seem to make a bit thinner crust today. Back them I think the crust was a little more crust.
If I lived in NY I would only live to be 35.
What cameras do you use sir? I am in love with the cinematography!
We shoot with Canon C100's, thanks for watching!
i was gonna comment that u were all wrong and brooklyn has the best nyc pizza but i saw that crust and it spoke for itself gotta go try this place
It's adorable that Lucas didn't know to fold the pizza.
Funny deethy, I was thinking "It's adorable how Lucas eats his paid-for pizza however he damn well wants."
"It's so incredibly thin!!" No my friend, that is how a pizza is supposed to be and how it's normally served anywhere outside of the US.
Most countries actually suck at making pizza. American pizza (not from chains or away from the east coast) is pretty good. Italian pizza is obviously the best.
My dad always got pizza from Joe & Pats. I'm 70 years old, and I want to have some more. I'm 3000 miles away, so bucket list.🤤
I want pizza now!!
Go to Umberto’s on Long Island and get a Grandma Pie/Slice. They invented the Grandma Pizza and it’s AMAZING. It’s also the preferred Pizza Plsce for the NY Giants. Look it up.
My appetite has now reached death con 5.
+MrYoumitube Defcon 1? you mean?
So many great pies in New York, Joe & Pat's definitely top 5, De fara is a must as well in Midwood, as well as Goodfella's and Motorino!
Midwood pizza trash 🤢🤮
Folding the slice is practical, but the pizza tastes better when you eat it ordinary.
cant agree more. the bread to cheese ratio just totally gets messed up if you fold it imo
+SnowTheGoon i eat the first half straight then fold it.
And Qi Well you're correct, but the point where the slice bend there will be more bread. Also the cheese will "fall" off, getting "disorganized" by folding it. This is a serious thing, no one should have their pizza folded, it has a severely negative impacts on life.
The slice is gone twice as fast when you fold it. I like to savor my pizza. =)
La Piazza on Richmond Avenue is a good representation of SI/BK pizza. Joe and Pat's is more or specialty place. Fried chicken diavolo slice
Oh Lucas, I have missed your videos.
Favourite host on YT.
What's the name of the song at 3:30 ? Please !
In manhattan i always end up getting the $1 pizza. They tastes so good esp after a night out !
Joe & Pat's is a true SI classic, but Staten Island has an entrepreneurial spirit so many new restaurants appear here all the time. Once upon a time you'd find people who swore by Joe & Pat's, but now, we have a smorgasbord of choices. Unlike Brooklyn, where it's 95% the same sauce, cheese, and dough bought from wholesalers to every joint in town, Staten Island has a lot of old world, and progressive pizza makers. The rules are out in SI, and we have so many great pies, it's hard to decide these days. It is becoming foodie paradise.
never been to joe and pats, but it looks fantastic. i agree with you when you said, although the toppings pie or the vodka pie was excellent, the personal choice is the plain pie.. yeah man, hands down I couldnt agree more. Im a huge pizza guy. its probably my favorite food(and thats saying something, because I like a lot of food), if not a top 3 or something. I try new pizza places every chance i get, and i test the pizza two ways. I go in and ask for a slice, and I call in an order to go. And BOTH are always plain. That way i can see how a fresh slice is, and how the pizza will be out of the box when i eat it at home. but the reason i get plain pie, is simple. it is the essence of pizza. you cannot bullshit your way through a plain pie. you cannot hide your mistakes under a couple toppings.. no no.. a plain pie is the test of a pizzeria. If the base isn't right, nothing will be right. from looks alone, This place looks like they know what they're doing.
Joe & Pat's is awesome
That's amazing that there is a pizza place in NY with the good pepperoni.
A Chinese-American dude wearing a dutch vest. Broeder (which means brother)! Glad you enjoyed the pizza.
Staten Island such an underrated borough.
What's the name of the track at 3:31 ???
great looking pizza
3:30 Name of the song ??? Please !
Haha he took out slice ! Clever guy !
Please ! What's the name of the 3:30 song ???
2:27 I feel like those kinds of plates are the best to eat pizza off of.
Worked there 50 years ago when I was 15 years old and the place was much smaller. Everything was fresh nothing out of a can. Very labor intensive back then.
Please somebody, help me ! Please ! Does anyone knows what's the name of the 3:30 song ? Please !!! I've been seeking it for years without sucess...
You have to go to Saint Louis and try Saint Louis style Pizza if you like thin crust!
Lucas in a Netherlands outfit... hell yes
We miss the thick Sicilian style pizza here in northern Minnesota. I like fresh tomatoes, mozzerella and basil! The colors of the Italian flag!
Lady taking the order at the start is super cute!
Somebody help me please ! What's the name of the song at 3:30 ? Please !
I feel good?
good work cochise
When I was in Rome I ate a Pizza that was so thin it was like paper, and I thought I could never find that anywhere in US. Seems I need to visit this place
Damn, that pizza looks real good, nice and thin too!
I’m from SI and I can confirm we have incredible pizza
Shout out to my borough!
God please make someone help me to find the name of that song at 3:30 !!! Please !
nice netherlands sweater:D
Castleton Corners, Staten Island.
God that look so good..
drooling like mad.
"You're right" Proceeds to continue eating without folding.
So awesome how you don't ever visit like 15th century cathedrals as part of the show -- Dining on a Dime is just about food and the stories and people behind it.
Haha did that guy in the hoodie say 'minchia'? It's great if that word has made it even to NY.
I went to a pizzeria one time where thin crust was more expensive. More money for less dough? Are they mixing lsd with their crack?
damn i need to go to NY
For those who want to know the name of the 3:30 song, well, just ask me !
I'm curious, what do you mean with "Neapolitan style pizza"? Here in Italy it means that the pizza is thicker than usual, not thinner.
It looks so "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD."
I have to walk, take a train to the ferry, cross the god danger river, and hire a cab to get to this place! Come on Eater! Stop killing me with place I can't get to in 30 minutes or less! Lol!
barardis on Castleton Ave..
Old man reppin the UT hoody, Texas Fight!
The only way to eat a slice. You’ve got to fold it over. I’ve eaten at Joe n Pats more times that I care to think about, always been really good. I’d like to get a slice right now.
