Ngl, I appreciate your description of battlegrounds games here, my friends love to play them, but they're also just better than me at them on average, so I usually just get my ass kicked with no other gameplay to distract me from it. I wish tower defense games were looking better on roblox rn, ALS is garbage, Anime Clash is HOPEFULLY now releasing, I've given up on ASTD, and AWTD is hardly staying afloat with weekly (on and off with bi-weekly important) updates, so I NEED SOMETHING. I'd imagine if I was actually playing AA when it was out, I'd be in a deeper rough since nothing seems to compare no matter who tries.
He mentioned Deepwoken in the video, its the best Roblox game I've ever played with the caveat being that it costs 5 dollars but if you are willing to shill some money do some research to see if its for you and give it a go. and if you move away from anime tower defenses some of them actually get good like, TDX (Tower defense X) , TDS (Tower defense simulator) , WTD (world tower defense).
Anime vanguard is on development and it seems to be a high quality anime td, lets hope they cook because since aa died no anime tower defense got to that level

Good takes, except maybe on ToT. The animation style was actually unique, idk what games you were playing in 2011 with facial animations like this. 100% agree with the release date though, at first I sorta sympathized since it got delayed for reasons out of their control but after that, that was all on them. The lead dev even apologized since he thought the game was more ready than it actually was. I also agree the cutscenes were long but like... it's a Pokemon game. I sorta expect that at this point even if I hate it, even brick bronze did that a bit.
ToT is litteraly a ripoff brick bronze, the story, text boxes, "wake up your late to get your first tonario". and worst of all the models are TERRIBLE

Of course the opening dialogue is gonna sound the same because that’s how every Pokémon game on Roblox starts (besides pocket anime, thank god)! I don’t know what you mean about the story, it seems different enough to me so far. It just follows the basic formula. There’s really not anything wrong with it, it’s tried and true but I get it can be a bit boring at times which is why I’m playing pocket anime instead when it releases.

@@ninjago9636 even if brick bronze hadn’t had a massive data loss, it was old and eventually fell under Pokémon’s watchful eye. In order to avoid copyright and continue to create similar games, devs had to use different models, names, etc while slightly tweaking the original formula. Some have been more creative than others, but ultimately they are all copies of the "original". As I said brick bronze isn’t truly the original, that falls to Pokémon Red for the gameboy way back in the day. People make these games because they think they have something to contribute to the genre, or as a passion project. Brick Bronze was not built to last, and many devs are just trying to create a game that will last with the same popularity as brick bronze. Another example could be Typical Colors 2, a remake of Team Fortress 2 for Roblox. Personally, I don’t get the point since the original is also free and still available for PC, but at the end of the day it’s just a passion project by the devs.

The problem with most the games you mention for me personally is the movement and moves, the moves are so small aswell as the movement being slow. These two things balance each other out but it makes the game feel way slower compared to if it was a game like blox fruits with fast movemt and fast large moves, then again prople do not like blox fruits because of the bandit beater grind. There is truly no game that suits both these intrests of players.

Type soul did not cook, the pvp is basically the same (Spam, with a bit of parrying, but mostly spam moves or jump people) and i realistically don't see much difference inside the game lol. When the hell are they going to add toggle sprint I'm tired of pressing shift all the time

The game I'd say is decent there is stuff to do but honestly not exactly my cup of tea because the grinding can still be tedious at times especially if solo playing or if you mess up on something. But at times I'll just classify it as a bandit beater but with extra stuff on the side with its main focus being the combat but even that isn't too special
Also from my experience in the game, hakuda is busted. I keep getting infinite comboed and those suck honestly

honestly the problem with Roblox isnt even the games, it's the fact the platform itself will recommend you the same cash grabs because that's what makes them money, so developers are forced to make games falling into the same cliches or nobody will even find their game if it releases

The issue with roblox games rn is every1 is taking the easy route trying to get money without wanting to sped time to make a actual good game. which obv leads to bandit beaters, Battlgrounds, mic games, tower defense and afk games. While the ppl who are actually taking time to make a game gets alot of backlash for not releasing it early or they just give up on the project completely. Prime example of this is the game "Anime Legends" that had a bunch of teaser trailers and hype for 2022 but they just gave up on it. Same with another game called "Devas of Creation". DoC was supposed to be a nice Open World RPG with alot of PvE and PvP content with nice animations and everything. But they gave up on it and made it a BG instead
