    • My sister is an Internet famous artist, she cant disparage her followers at all because they pay her rent, that could help dan in being charitable to us. but also I think he has a nuanced view of his followers, knows they're not a monolith and has met a fair few, and doesn't discredit all fans with the actions of some

    • I guess because those once cringe teenagers are now adults and overall are more understanding and respecting him now. So I guess that why Dan feel so appreciative. But obviously 2012 Dan would have different perspective so I'm glad that now Dan love the fans even in his sarcastic tone. 🥺❤

    • He is aware that a lot of us were teens and preteens when we found him and Phil. And that the demon phannies out there were prob just a loud minority 😅 Doesn't excuse everything we did as a fandom but it does explain some things. A lot of us have grown up alongside them... It's both fascinating & amazing to have been a part of & still am 😅

  • Dan always speaks so well and its very admirable. i also do like how they changed up the background and removed josh hutcherson and the dan vs phil board to give the office a more professional look. i think the fact that this interview was during the day and not a 2am also makes that true haha. thamk you for posting the interview!

Daniel is so very honest and cares so deeply for people, and I admire his ability to take the hardships and pain from his life and turn them into something so positive and helpful to others. The book is really good, and I'd encourage anyone who wants to learn about mental health and how to feel better to get it.

He's helped me understand my depressive episodes and not feel so alone/weird about it, and Phil has helped me feel more understood about my anxiety. • I was going through a really rough mental health period in 2017 when Dan uploaded his video opening up about depression, and while my mental health struggles weren't depression specifically (I was in the process of getting diagnosed with ADHD while in my first semester of college and my emotional regulation was pretty much nonexistent) it was such a comfort to know that I wasn't alone and that things can get better. And for me, they have. Thank you, Daniel.

  • I don't know if Dan is ever going to see this, but I wanted to thank him (and Phil) for saving my life. In 2017, my father died in a horrific accident, and little 14 year-old me became convinced that life wasn't worth living anymore. But the next morning, I got notification that PINOF 9 had been uploaded, and my mom told me that she got me tickets to see Interactive Introverts. I realized I had so many things to live for, and still do, thanks to two goofy British men on the internet.

    • quick crash course: I'd say from 2010 to 2019, he and phil lester were the most talked about duo on the internet. From which then their content slowed down drastically and so they lost quite a bit of the hype but they still have a loyal fanbase. Careers spanning across multiple youtube channels, but they were also radio hosts award show hosts. 2015 was their peak I'd say, and they came out in 2019, Dan's coming out video gaining 13 million views. A lot of internet culture originates from them and their fanbase.
