  • I just can't seem to wrap my head around why people are bashing this man. Whether you agree with his politics or not, you should at least respect the fact that he led this country for 8 years. Do people not understand how difficult that job must be? Not to mention that half of the hatred towards him stems from the fact that he is a Democrat and the majority of his critics are Republicans. Politics have increasingly become a game of teams, me vs you, and red vs blue. So while people are playing their little game like it's sports or something, people's lives are being directly affected by these decisions. Identity politics are a cancer on society.

    • Grumpy I agree with you that our politics has become increasingly (and unnecessarily) divisive on arbitrary partisan lines. My hatred for Obama comes from knowing he's a very capable man...yet he stood by as our military interventions kept rolling on, as our civil liberties were eroded away even further, as more immigrants were deported as never before, as lobbyists bought our democracy and insurance companies auctioned out our health. In 2008 he said one thing but in 2009 he did another. There's a word for what he did: He lied. Obama had a Congressional majority and yet was still unable to do even the most basic things. Yet any criticism of him will get Team Blue angry at me. But Obama is really just Trump without the bombast and arrogance. Democrats and Republicans need to see this and abandon the parties that abandoned them. We must organize and restructure ourselves as something wholly new.

    • You don't respect a person simply because he held office. If so, I expect you to immediately respect Trump for winning the election and becoming the president. No? That doesn't work? How about this. You respect people if they do things that you value, that you think are right. You don't respect someone because they're black, because they're president or because they cry about gun violence. And by the by, how the hell does he cry about children he didn't even know. Why isn't he balling about Africa where children are starving and dying of intestinal worms? Why isn't he crying about Syrian children? Are they worth less? He doesn't cry about these people. Why? He doesn't cry about the children shot in Chicago. He doesn't talk about those children. Children in the inner city that die at rates far higher then events like Sandy Hook. Where's his tears then?

    • +Jerry Rodriguez You have to understand that there is only so much one man can do, no matter how powerful he is. Just like you saw in the video, he wanted to expand on background checks, but for whatever reason, congress didn't. Hindsight is always 20/20, but when you look at the alternative to not militarily intervening, what he did wasn't all that bad, but when we got into trouble was when we tried to stay and nation build and install a democracy in an area where the people are incapable of sustaining one because their religion is keeping them one hundred years in the past. Also, which of our civil liberties were infringed upon? Like I said, whether you agreed with his politics or not, you should at least respect him for doing his best at a job that is quite possibly the most scrutinized positions in the world. One thing that I believe is that he had the nation's best interests at heart, while on the other hand, I'm not so sure about Trump. It seems like Trump's one and only goal is to become more powerful, not to mention that the majority of his policies are ludicrous.

    • Grumpy I honestly hope that you will stay true to your word with this whole "it's difficult to run the United States" thing, and make the same case for president Trump. Because if you can't do that, your words are just manipulative lies.

  • I don't understand some people's problems with background checks. It wouldn't take away guns for all people, just people who were mentally unstable or had a criminal record. Those who try to turn the other way are rather inhuman. We the people need a leader who knows the sorrow, sadness, pains, sufferings, to understand better whom he is serving as a leader, like Obama.

  • Here's what's frustrating. I'm from Australia, where gun control is implemented. It works. Gun violence still exists of course, but it's INSANELY rare. To those saying "don't take away our guns", gun control doesn't take away your guns. It takes away guns from people who shouldn't have it (teens, mentally ill). Gaining access to a gun is stricter, with lots of background checks. Our last mass shooting was in 1996 and we haven't had one since. Thankyou Obama, you tried.

    @stephiiee@stephiiee7 жыл бұрын
    • Gonzalez131 Okay. Once again, gun control doesn't take away your guns. You can still own a gun. It prevents young teens, children, and those with a history of mental illness from buying one. You can still keep your gun, I repeat, you still get to keep your gun. You're still armed.

      @stephiiee@stephiiee7 жыл бұрын
    • stephiiee yes but they will make it more hard for people that really need them. Anyways obama just passed a bill that makes it hard for people with disabilities to own a gun like people that are old,cant walk,etc. you think that the government will be satisfied after this gun laws are pass, i believe once they pass this laws this will be push even further not over night but slowly until no one but the federal government can only own guns. The government is more smart than that and its not the guns who are to blame for the crimes. The gun does not have a mind of its own. If the government were that concern about safety than they should also put laws against violent movies,video games,etc. People are influence through this devices and its not the guns fault. Its strange the government allows those kind of devices that has an effect on the motivation the person in contact with such a weapon and allow it to continue and instead of blaming this devices its the weapon who is to blame, Its as if the government wants people to be influence through this devices and put them into practice so when it happens blame the weapon and thus press for more gun control . Anyways if the government was so worried about crimes why are they allowing illegals who come into this country. Most of the crimes are either committed by illegals or people that have connection with them.

Granted, you do have to take into account the customs, social constructs, and overall technological/socioeconomic time period they were living in when they laid out the foundation for legislature of the new nation, but for the most part, their writings and the things they studied to draw up such architecture, is more pertinent today than viewing it from a superficial manner and thinking that it's merely old or outdated. I would highly recommend reading some of their own writings/ruminations/musings as well as things such as the federalist and anti-federalist papers to understand the relationships between governmental units and the things that they had studied from previous societies and how they sought to devise and implement a better, stronger nation. I don't know if you'll actually read this comment or take it to heart, but either way, here's to always hungering for more knowledge. Cheers, friend!

Or committing suicide for that matter. I don't know how you can stage a shooting, except if you are using the mind control technics of the CIA, but I don't believe most of these shootings could be staged or are staged. I think the problem is a violent culture, obsessed with guns, and a parasitic drug pushing addiction industry built on the psyche's of the mentally ill.

He is a high member of the muslim brotherhood, created the Iran deal which is the worst in history, ranked as the deadliest resident in history killing massive olice officers, divided the country racially worst than the civil war, sold us out to Russia giving them 20% of our urainium, turned the WH into a mosque while signing exeuctive orders against all other religions even jailing and prosecuting some, caused the highest unemployment since the deression, caused more people to loose their homes under him than any other president, more people on welfare than any other time in history, opened borders that has caused the invasion of radical muslims that have taken over cities like dearfield MI, TN, NY TX and vowed to take over the US, created BLM now a terrorist group because of their violence and murders per the FBI, created ISIS and is the cause of Russia taking over the Middle East and supplied terrorists with weapons. planes and even tanks, I could go on, do your research! • @@unspokenbrute you know, that’s a good point. I don’t necessarily think that trump hates the American people or anything like that but to me, it also seems like he wouldn’t be the one weeping over dead American children. He’s just more self oriented than most presidents. For example, those tax cuts weren’t really for the American people at large, it was mostly so that he can keep raking in the profits for his own companies. Or the fact that he keeps denying the effectiveness of masks against the virus rather than trying to help people defeat covid, he’s more invested in keeping businesses flowing so that his hotels take in more profits. Trump is more self centered in things like that and I feel that that is the reason why many people perceive him to not be supportive of average Americans.

    • @Ferenc Zsidó I used google translate Hungarian to English. I later found a similar article, but not in as much detail on WND. As an American why do I always find myself going to foreign news sources to find the truth? Answer, I know George Soros bought and paid for the media to be under his control. You can get anything you want if you pay enough money. "In Yugoslavia, Soros-funded protesters flooded the streets of Belgrade to make elections impossible. A Soros-funded 70,000-strong militant youth organization called a coup instead of voting, Horowitz and Poe write. They did so, the authors explain, relying on fists, boots, guns, and Molotov cocktails. On October 5, 2000, revolutionaries rioted in Belgrade, setting fire to the Federal Parliament building and the headquarters of the RTS state television network. Janes Sentinel reports that roadblocks have been erected around Belgrade with Otpor-led AK-47s, mortars and shoulder-fired armor-piercing weapons. The then president, Slobodan Milošević, resigned, was immediately arrested and brought before the International Criminal Court. " Insightful and revealing comments thanks for sharing. Soros should be arrested and deported. Would Hungry take him back?
