So my two rabbits, Cookie and Dutch had 6 kits. I decided it document their growth by taking a short video every day for 36 days. They grow up so fast!

Hi Robin! I too love bunnies and always give them a good home and lots of love. They are so quiet and love to be near me, especially when I'm cutting their carrots and cilantro. They certainly eat a lot; it's no wonder they grow quickly!!!

I am constantly fascinated by the genetic variation (fur color patterns) of bunnies from the same litter; I used to think that Dutch bunnies from the same parents had the same fur colors, but that is clearly not always the case.....😆

@@bitchwhatsyourname7384 Never bathe or shower a rabbit. It's not good for them. They clean themselves several times a day.

I lost 4 of my bunnies yesterday because of food poisoning 😢 this reminds me of them. I really miss my buns

GEES.....HAPPY TO HEAR THAT.....1 second after looking at these beautiful babies I burst out sobbing..YES......OVERLOADED....had to stop for a minute or 2 so I could get control of myself again....GOD gave me and animal heart......video beautifully recorded.....ONLY suggestion......background voices...but great music.....thanks for sharing.....

How can anyone dislike this ??? Did they like have a horrible experience where they were traumatized by baby bunnies or something?? What did they do like hop on them to much. .It amazes me how petty people can be.. Wish my life was so easy where the only thing I had to upset me was baby bunnies?? My hubby just brought home 2 cottontail babies he found on a work site- yes they were orphaned. I have never raised bunnies but have hedgehogs, turtles, cats ,dogs, and Love animals.. I am hooked.. I love them so much.. But I'm still learning as I go. I assume they are between 3-5 weeks. Just don't know though.. They are eating good and I'm bottle feeding KRM. I really want them to bond with me more. 1 was doing great. I could hold her,she slept on me and then I made them a much bigger and roomy cage 3 days ago now she is acting very skittish - any ideas??

I've got two female rabbits who are sisters (Suki and Laté) and Suki is showing signs of wanting a baby so in July we are going to try and make her and a male rabbit make babies. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how many times should the male rabbit and Suki meet? And if I should separate Suki and Laté when Suki becomes pregnant? When Suki has babies we are going to buy a new hutch for her and the babies and Laté will stay in a different hutch on her own, but every day her and Suki will go in their run so they can play together. Are there any tips I should know on looking after a pregnant rabbit and her babies?
Alice Rose, I have some tips. One, Suki and the male rabbit should always be together. Two, separate Suki and Laté when the babies are born and when Suki is pregnant (there is a chance of Laté injuring the newborns) Three, don't touch the baby rabbits until they are healthy and about 20 days old (unless the babies don't eat and are always hurt.) Four, love your rabbits😍😍😍
Also, if you can build or buy a nesting box for Suki to have her babies in, that would be ideal. Once she is pregnant, you'll wanna separate her from the male bunny.....👍

What should be mind-boggling about bunnies is that, theoretically, each doe can produce hundreds of kits in her lifetime (each pregnancy lasts about a month) and live to see many thousands of her descendants. Imagine! That would be like a woman being pregnant at the same time as her great-great-great-great-great(20 more greats) grandmother....
Those are some deep thoughts
@@veraottosson2947 You betcha! I came across an article written by some math professor in Florida. He did the actual math and, given standard ideal conditions (no deaths from predators, disease, starvation), you can end up with over 1 BILLION bunnies in less than 3 years from just 1 buck and 1 doe right after they are born (they can start reproducing at about age 5 months!). You should be able to look up the article as well by typing in 'rabbit' 'exponential population growth' or something along those lines....
