Never go fishing in a lightning storm! Or maybe that was the reason the fish bit so good. We caught 500lbs of tuna fishing out of the west side of Oahu last week. The weather sucked but the fishing was epic!

I own several bait casting reels and this one did not disappoint. It is lightweight and a very responsive reel
My favorite type of fishing is float fishing for skamania steelhead off pier or my boat in summer...nothing like a float bob and Hana' pa'a!!! Yeah you!!! 🤙🤙

Got to go yellowfin fishing yesterday for the first time of the east coast of Florida, it was epic for sure and absolutely slayed the Mahi too, and yes, I got sick in the morning as well! 😂😂😂😂

Trolling >>> Mahi action is always the most fun (aku piles with constant action is a close second)... still trying to land the elusive first ahi this season.
Here in central Florida we troll for dolphin and blackfin tuna. We bottom fish for red snapper and grouper.
Been a long time since I wet a line but whipping is always the go to.
Enjoy bottom fishing but Fishing in general is a feeling you can't beat. Catch or not let's go fishing!!
This time of year we are fishing the hard water up here in the tahoe area. Rainbows, Browns, cutthroat, Brookies and lake trout.

Big king salmon, halibut and lingcod are my favorites. In Hawaii, ahi is the best. But also love mahi and opakapaka. Thanks for keeping us primed for fishing.

Starting in April we fish king salmon. In June I kick over to commercial halibut fish and some rock fish. Hopefully finish the year off with BFT or white sea bass.

Hey Braddah Nick, always enjoy watching your videos and your positive attitude to fishing and your crew! Luv live bait sinker rigging for BFT - you feel them take the bait and start peeling line. I wasn't able to get on the Pearl Fishing, BoomBoom Fishing, or Whipsaw fishing charter while I was it Hawaii. I did get on the Wild Bunch - we trolled for 8 hrs with one strike and no hookups. We never gave up! Aloha and tight lines.

Like most people I like all kinds of fishing. I fish from the shore both fresh and saltwater. I fish the ocean mostly for whatever is biting. I went ice fishing for the first time 2 weeks ago. That was different! Stand on 30” thick frozen water with a 24” rod and 4lb test reeling 20” trout up through an 8” hole in 10° weather 🥶. Waiting for rockfish and salmon season to start. Buying my first electric reels and adding new pivoting rod holders to the boat.
