It’s a semi-Euler graph so you have to start from a vertex that has odd number of edges. You can start from the very right or bottom of the flag.

In a graph, you can make an eulerian path if all the nodes have an even number of edges except 2. In this case you have to start from the nodes with odd number of edges

This is acrually a key idea in decision maths, basically every place where 2 lines meet is a node and if you notice 2 nodes have an odd number of lines meeting there and the rest have even. To solve the puzzle you need to start and end at the different odd nodes cause each time you reach a node that isnt your end point, you need 1 line to enter and 1 line to exit

You have to observe the shape, it's one of these: 1. every intersection has an even number of paths - start anywhere, not much of a challenge 2. two (no more, no less) intersections have an odd number of paths - start and end in on of those intersections If the shape is not in any of these groups, it's impossible to draw

- There are literally only 2 options to perfectly do this without overlapping lines. 1. Is the last solution 2. Is similar to the 1.: You start at the right side of the top square, just before the square runs into the vertical long line.

- The trick to do those kinds of puzzles is to start in a corner where an odd number of lines start. If there is 3 or more zones with an odd number of lines, it's impossible to do. If there's only one...well, there can't be only one, but the 1st zone is where you have to start and the second one is where you have to end.

Look at the verticies. Even ones are nothing to worry about, you can enter and leave. But odd ones are tricky. So if you have 2 odd verticies, they must be where you start and end.

Solution: 1.If the graph has no nodes with odd number of edges, then every node can be the start/end 2.If there is only one node with odd number of edges, then the node is the state and end 3.If there are 2 nodes with odd number of edges, then one of them is the start, the other is the end 4.If there are more than 3 nodes with odd number of edges, then it’s impossible

Ah yes, an Eulerian Path. I am not gonna go in detail, but if you are struggling, remember that it's only possible to be solved if you start and end on an odd number of lines connected to a single node

I actually found a different way. I started at the far right side where the 3 lines connect and just drew the bottom line of the triangle starting from there. Simply finish the rest of the triangle until you have the bottom semi circle to do all the way to the flag and voila.

We learned how to solve such riddles in school last month. It's pretty simple: You always start at a point where an uneven number of lines cross and the rest goes nearly by itself.

every comment is missing the fact that they are blindfolded lmao The challenge is that they are all blindfolded and presumably have to start really quickly after taking the blindfold off, not being given much/any time to think about where to start. It’s easy to figure out after a few seconds but it looks like the idea here was to give them almost no time to think about it before going. It’s a lot harder and more down to luck when you consider you are basically just guessing at where to start and what to do.

That's actually pretty easy when you know graph theory( and in general but especially when you know graph theory) Because you know you need to start and end on the ones with odd number of ways to go

For these: count the edges coming from the vertices. If there are ONLY two that have an odd number of edges, you must start at one and end at the other. Here, these two are at the bottom of the flag and upper right of the boat.

The trick to Euler circuits is by starting and ending at a vertex that has an odd number of paths coming from it. Or at least that helps in finding the solutions to the hard ones.

- Also, puzzles like this work if and only if there are exactly two intersections with an odd number of lines going into them. If there are no intersections like this then the puzzle will be too easy, if there are more than two then the puzzle will be impossible.
