The greatest talk show guest ever, the greatest roaster ever, the last of the Rat Pack, Mr. Warmth -- Don Rickles.
I swear that it’s true,
I love to do what I do.
To share this laughter I give,
For just a little love from you.

    • @Cripple Bear faith is good, though as my name implies I'm a doubting Thomas. So while I respect the idea of it all being as it's written. It's a little far fetched at times. Of course, I do believe there has to be a God. With everything around us there had to be a creator. I just doubt man as a whole, with so many agendas and so forth I'll just accept there has to be a God, but cant get behind any one religion written or managed by man.

    • They called him Mr. Warmth for his biting comedic style and brilliance. Rarely has pure comic genius been so obviously displayed in a half century of work. His appearences on Carson and Dean Martin Comedy Roasts are as hilarious today as they were in the 60's. Timeless comedy is rarely found. Don Rickles comedy is a masterpiece in motion, savored as every fine line was delivered we stand and applaud in admiration. The world laughs less without Mr. Warmth. Whenever I see his roasts, interviews etc he always made my day better with a deep laugh or a smile on my face. IE Jack Benny, Dean Martin, Jonathan Winters just to name a few. RIP MR. RICKLES our prayers are for your loss and the family you have left behind to cherish your memory!

  • Nobody quicker in stand up comedy. His "insults" were gold. The best part? Everyone was in on the gag! They knew, at the end of the day, Rickles was a kind, caring, loving man. And I had NO IDEA he could sing!

  • I've been tubing Don "Mr. Rickles " since he passed, and he is by far one of the funniest stand ups ever! A lot of racial remarks, but all was game! This is the most thorough 22 minute tribute, and I really do not write comments, but wanted to thank the person who posted this tribute, long live the Don.

I remember watching the Dean Martin Roasts as a kid, and even though I was too young to understand all of the jokes, Don Rickles always made my Dad howl with laughter. He is someone we will never see again in this life. RIP

In the end, we and everyone in these videos are *_laughing_* together. Only Rickles knew how to do it right.

  • That ending. What a beautiful song. God damn you Don Rickles. I never expected to let you into my heart. The little laughter I give was the love you gave. I’m in awe in the beauty of your soul. And I think, in many ways you gave people something to live for. Something to cherish about life. Something that made the nights out important and an event to look forward to. You had the courage to live. And undoubtedly your courage inspired those around you to live. I can only hope to have that same courage and effect on the people I encounter in my life. God Bless.
