I just pre-ordered this exact phone yesterday making my 2/22/22 very memorable.
I've got to say, Samsung has really improved their updates. I've had my S10+ since 2019 and have received every updates since Pie to Android 12 this year.
Mine Galaxy S9 still receive security updates.
My S8 does not receive updates since last year and I hate it because the phone is working excelent but I must change it because of the lack of security or OS updates, actually due to this I am considering moving to Iphone they support their products for longer.
@@2signus you really dont need OS and security updates unless you're behind say 2 years worth of updates. apps still update for android 7 and phones still work.

@@2signus foundation? my dad is still using galaxy note 4 with android lollipop. I was using xiaomi redmi 5 which came with android 7 up until 2019 after which I installed pixel os based on android 9. android 9 is still supported and many apps still have have weird issues sometimes due to not being originally written for android 11 and up. you just need to think for yourself and open your eyes.
This is honestly a gorgeous looking device, I'd upgrade just for the aesthetic...finally actually small and uniform bezels...great looking phone!
Agreed! Just saw one at Best Buy for the first time and was surprised by it, on KZhead now watching some reviews thinking about picking this one up instead of the S21 or 22 ultra myself.....

Certainly the plus has a better camera array design , and it has the flat display going for it . If you are a long time galaxy user , all these new galaxys despite their more modern hardware in a lot of ways are huge disappointment.

I just got my S22+ yesterday. I'm coming from an S20 Fe and the build quality on the S22+ is very nice. love the design and the pink gold is gorgeous. display is good and so far battery life is good, been using over 10 hours and still have 19% left (was just watching videos,scrolling social and playing with settings) so far I like 👍🏽

Thanks much for this in depth review. I bought the s22 plus yesterday as a gift to myself for my birthday. I love it for the most part but I hated that: 1. The adapter had to be purchased separately. I think that's ridiculous. For such an expensive phone, they should give consumers a complete charger 2. No space for an SD card to give way for more memory. Update: I'm unable to see much of a difference with this phone. I'm not impressed as I was when I just bought it. The S10+ remains my favorite. The memory sucks too. For this much money, we shouldn't have to pay for extra storage, especially when they've remove the slot for a memory card.

Pre-ordered the green colour S22+. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Very nice and detailed review, interesting to know that there is no major difference in 25w and 45w charging speeds as I that was a big differentiator between S22+ and regular S22.
the battery it is charging is also much bigger which is why it is a similar percentage

Hi will I am a fan of GSM arena since Nokia and Sony Ericsson era..
The only thing holding me back from the ultra model is the thickness and weight. I like how the s22+ is flat all over, but I just wish the screen was at least 1440p. Cummon…. Still looks nice. My s21plus has a dim imprinted image of my GPS practically burnt into the background of my phone so I always see it dimly behind whatever app I have open, so I guess time for an upgrade again anyways. I’ve definitely been impressed with Samsungs performance over the iPhones. My iPhones gets super hot very quickly on somewhat high end games, dims the screen, and freezes up or force restarts too often. Samsung never does that (but does get warm) handles any game well and definitely not nearly as buggy as the new iPhones. I may be getting this one! By the way, great review, but you’re kinda sounding like a robot man!

Same here. The S10+ is a magnificent phone. Visually, the big difference is that we have a very nice and smooth scroll in S22 (120hz makes the difference). Still, not fully decided to make the switch....

Thinking of going for the S22 plus as an upgrade to my s20. The network can only get the 128 gig version, I would have preferred the 256 gig but can live with it. The only option in 256 was the Z Fold phone and I'm not sure I like that one.
Hope it's not too late but I'd recommend you to wait for the s23+ and then either get that one or this one for less money. I've got the S22+ for one month now without regrets besides that I paid too much xD I can still recommend it, lovely phone, perfect size imo and obviously a wonderful design. The battery isn't enough for me since I'm out 12 hours a day but it's still really solid. I still need to find tempered glass that doesn't mess with the fingerprint sensor... 🤣

The 25watt charger is very fast. Wich i could see because my current S21+ and my good "old" S10+ had a 15watt charger. And i now know how much difference it is. I'll keep,if it will survive 3 more years,my S21+..it is a wonderful device. No upgrade for me now. Thanks for the video. Mine is so bad though. Though i do have the exynos version. Its performance on games like genshin impact and life after is so laggy even on low resolution. Do u have the snapdragon version?

@@SQ773 unfortunately for me, it does. Especially on heavy graphics game. Try clearing it a few times n ended up getting fed up so i switch to iPhone. Unfortunately for me again, some of my games won’t save over different operating system.

@@keenfuture If you care about that I suggest a standalone camera. Of course, use flash when inside, otherwise you'll still get bad results unless you have a tripod.

You're going to miss out on that QHD screen that you had. And expandable storage. And Samsung pay. And you lose out on charging speed. The only real upgrade you're getting is a new update cycle, but there's actually less features on the s22 than the s20 Plus.

But now it's time to say goodbye :) I've got three options for me: - S22+ - Xiamoni 12x - Vivo x60 pro Which one will be the best? Why one of the above? Not SD888 or SD 888Gen1, price (used phone market), size (for me max 158mm height) I think S22+ has a best camera but 12X has a best screen and compact size, and Vivo - I don't know what to think. Camera on snapdragon variant is still better than exynos so much hype for amd collab they need more time to surpass snapdragon in both performance and image processing
