I just give off a beneficent, buddy-buddy, non threatening, i'm-just-chilling-with-you type energy and leave the cat alone. soon enough, they usually want attention. i like to challenge them regarding who can be more enchanting and alluring to each other. lol. @gerrywhelan5761@gerrywhelan57613 жыл бұрын
    • @@gerrywhelan5761 Wildlife behaving like wildlife (animals eating other animals to survive) is the natural order of things. When humans get involved, that balance is upset. It's humans that caused so many pets to go feral by dumping them and other irresponsible activity. (cats. dogs.) Humans that have overpopulated and created a need for deforestation, reducing their habitats. And now we have videos going "They're cute, I want one!" as reasons to tamper with their numbers even more. Or worse. Use them as a cash cow. "Here's this adorable animal, lets profit off of it, keep it in a small cage and pretend it's getting great care like it would in the wild for money!" And no one stops to consider the wild population as it begins to dwindle. The deforestation. Why animals in captivity, even in some zoos, don't fare well. Sure they medical care, groomed, fed. But lifespans sometimes are shortened. Cage too small. Muscle loss. Not enough room to build up a full out run. Other health issues slowly begin to emerge after that. And we have the nerve to call it humane.. Best zoos in the world stop keeping dolphins. They die in captivity. Our local zoo admitted it. Stop doing it. They stopped keeping polar bears. Same reasons. They don't do well in captivity. Don't get me started on Orcas. Those documentaries are all over the place. As for large cats, one of my favorite animals, humans should leave them alone. And their habitats alone. They do better without us.

    • Not sure how bad lynx fur would be but if in doubt you can research just in case. I think the problem isn't fur itself but how modern fur animals are treated, living in small empty cages all their life where they show obvious signs of not thriving. Of course its also bad if wild endangered animals are hunted for their fur. I don't wear any fur (unless you count wool), but it may not be so bad if its done in a more ethical way than the ones I mentioned. One fur type I possibly could wear is reindeer, I already eat those at times and they are living their life outdoors. And I don't think it is 100% cruelty free, but no meat or hardly any product at all is. Vegan companies can still treat their workers bad (for example) and do kill mice and insects on the fields. Its about whats relatively better that also lets you have a good life and health

  • I saw one of these Lynx a month ago next to my property in Washington State (Northern Cascades) a month ago. A local guy said you'll never see that again. Then, two mornings ago on the way to work I saw another lynx was really cool..beautiful animal..what amazed me the most was how slow, calculated and graceful the first one I saw moved. The 2nd one was running across street..I'm told they're Canadian Lynx, Surprised they come all the way down into Washington if true.

  • I gave a home to some thirty "domestic" cats for their natural lives but am watching this and thinking "When is this magnificent cat going to be free?" I'm sure her keepers have her best interests at heart but freedom is priceless. Truly priceless. That's what WW2 was about and what the war in Ukraine is about
