How to make TikTok videos
Anyone can make videos on TikTok. One of the easiest ways to make TikTok videos is by using the TikTok app. Create an account and you’ll get a plus sign on your TikTok app for iPhone and Android.
TikTok video creation is pretty simple, but there are plenty of advanced features.
The video creation section is made up of 3 pages. The first page is the video creator, the second page is the video editor and the third page is the posting page, where you can add descriptions, hashtags and change settings.
On the video creation page, you can start by choosing a duration for your TikTok video. You can create videos 1-15 seconds or 15-60 seconds. You can have photo templates if you want to make a slideshow and not record a video.
After the duration, you can choose sounds. This gives you the ability to play a music track in the background as you record your video.
Next, you can change speed, add filters, effects, and many useful options during video recording.
Once you are happy with your video, press the checkmark.
The editing page allows you to change the sound or filter and you can add transitions, effects, and even edit the clips of your video.
Finally, the last page allows you to add descriptions, hashtags, tag other creators, and change privacy settings. Make sure to pick the best possible thumbnail here as well for your video.

  • Hello! Thank you very much for this well explain and easy to understand video! That was really helpful. Now I am wondering, on the creative part, is it possible to, as for a video, to add picture through it instead of all footages? For example, i set up a 15 sec video. I record a 5 sec video. An other 4 sec. Then I would like to switch to 1 sec photos, like 5 of them. Is it possible? If so, how? Or is there an other option for that? Thank you again!

  • Great video. Thank you! What is it called when someone creates a TikTok where they are holding something or taking an action (either POV or in front of stationary camera) in clip 1 and then cut to clip 2 that’s the same exact positioning but the thing they are holding (or the action they are taking) has slightly changed. You see these commonly shot for comedic effect like popping out of a box, playing games outside with kids, using toys like Star Wars lightsabers, etc. Is there a name for this editing style so I can search more and find How To vids? The key I notice in all of these is keeping the talent (people and props) in front of the camera AND the camera’s angle/positioning exactly the same from clip 1 to clip 2. Thank you for any advice you can offer.

  • when you make a video on the iphone app by uploading photos and videos, is there any way to change the length of each? for example the photos are 3 seconds and it wont allow me to make them shorter.

  • Do you have a video on doing multiple video's from your camera roll? I make these wallets and I'd like to take a video of each step but there's a lot of steps lol and I didn't know if I should record everything on Tik tok's thing and then is there a way to save it or would it be better to do it on my camera roll and just wait until I'm completely done and add all of the video at one time?   • Is there a way to do a preface to a video & * then * have a sound start *after* the preface? Usually when you use a sound/song, it starts right at the beginning of your video. I want it to start after a spoken word preface.

  • I already have that phone holder. I really like it alot. the timer is a good idea so i don't have to push the button on the phone which makes the phone wiggle a little till i stop it. and also the clip length in shorter clips wo i don't have to touch it to stop it. I know i could edit it out but would be less editing .
