    • Well yeah those are people that are known globally and well known in Korea. People like Sofia Vergara, Yara Shahidi, Zendaya aren’t as much like we think they are, so they pick for globally known people. And it’s not their faults if they don’t know many others. Would it be nice if they knew more yes but 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think the most we can do is request a video for them to react WOC

Another point is that ( like in the video mentioned) most Western girls don't suspect their boyfriend to cheat when going out with his friends..But otherwise Korean guys aren't used to girls who are wearing clothes that are considered "revealing" in their culture, that western girls are more blunt and that western girls ( young adults) aren't doing secret dating ( hiding one's relationship before the family) and more...

  • Tbh I feel like many guys want to just hook-up with a foreign girl, but rarely want to actually date her. I feel like I’m just viewed as a “trophy” most of the time and not an actual person. I’m still trying to go on proper dates despite this, but it’s hard. Most guys seem to think that because I’m a Western girl I’ll be easier to hook-up with than a local girl. So it’s a little bit frustrating. I’m not a tourist just here for a “good time”. I’m a student that’s lived here for a year and a half and speaks Korean and wants to actually date someone. 🥺

Also, need to take into account these big channels are probably based in Seoul. I too find it interesting though. On some level it's understandable but I do wonder why don't they like towards the end of the video start thinking of other countries? Just last year I was diagnosed with BDD. Confidence doesn’t happen over night. Sometimes it feels like it does; I’ll have a moment where I feel like I’m the most beautiful person in the entire world, but the next day I wake up and feel horrible. It’s hard for me to pretend I’m confident when my appearance and the way I see myself is holding me back from so much.

  • Tired of these kind of videos looking and sounding the same. I need these questions to be precise/specific and much deeper. Like; What kind of Western women do yo like? What comes to mind when you hear..., What differentiates white/black/Latin etc women from each other or from Asian women? Why do you REALLY want to "date" them? Is it so you can feel like you're GLOBAL and brag ( to your friends ) about having done so? Do you think Western women are easy? Do you really think Western women & Korean girls are that different or expect the same when it comes to dating? Do you really think that Western women are that confident or open minded? It's obvious that when they hear West they think of the U.S.A. or western women as only white women. The west is a diverse world that does not consist of only the USA and white people. Do the next videos on this topics with Korean men and women asking these specific questions. THX

Some of them are only interested in the country you are from and probably your looks, but not really your personality. BUT there are also exceptions. I met one good guy in my time there (at university), but it was more luck. We just became friends first and then he asked me out. Even though I rejected him, we are still friends and keep in contact. Most of the other guys disappeared right after I left Korea. The thing is: You gotta be careful most of the time.

    • That thought is so wrong. There are bad and good things about any culture! You just need to sort it out talking to each other and see how you gonna work it out. Any relationship is giving and taking, and both sides should be open about changing for the other. If only one side changes, then it's not a good relationship.

  • When interviewing, you need to define foreigner which most of the time seems to mean “White Europeans” based on the repetitive responses given. I’m just sayin...

  • "dating a westerner" is more like, trying something new and exciting for a bit while expecting the relationship to be open and less complicated. it seems like something people have on their bucket lists before they go into marriage or something... honestly, that doesn't sound so great to most western girls lol

  • Im from Germany and i had a korean boyfriend when I was 19, he was actually kinda genuine in the beginning. But I really could tell when he started to lose interest. He became rude and told me to lose weight and if I lost weight I could be an actual model. This kinda stuff. I appreciated his honesty when he had to move a way, Bc he said that our relationship wouldn’t last over the long distance and that he’d rather find a woman in his future area. But that was not a sensitive way to tell me. But overall, the first few months, he was being a good guy.

  • See as a single girl in her early 20’s, who has lived in the U.S her whole life, I’ve always wanted to date foreign guys and girls. But I have no idea where to meet them and if I do meet one I’d try to get to know them first. Build a bond and then try dating. I’ve never cared about how someone looks, I just care about if I can connect with them on a deeper level.

  • Find someone you resonate with...on a spiritual level... I'm thinking that traveling to and spending time 8n America would be a great experience for you....you could actually teach your language and learn English while getting paid to do so...some sort of foreign exchange program in teaching....Good Luck!

  • I know a lot of people are upset that the word Foreigner is often associated with Americans however, in terms of looks American is so diverse I think that's why they refer to people like Emma Watson because they've seen her on mainstream tv. From what I've seem a lot of interaccial couples when it is a white women with a Korean male the woman is often from somewhere in Europe or Russia. Therefore, dont be discouraged! You honestly cant tell someone is American until they speak too so I doubt these guys have an American preference per se. A better title would be non-asian.

    @KiwiGumdrop@KiwiGumdrop4 жыл бұрын
    • KiwiGumdrop yes, I have to correct my Korean husband all the time when he describes someone as American, by their appearance. I always say, that could mean literally ANY race. You can’t say American when you mean white, lol.
