NKETIAH WITH THE WINNER! | Bayern Munich 1-2 Arsenal | ICC 2019 extended highlights

Eddie Nketiah struck late on to give us the win over Bayern Munich in Los Angeles.
The 20-year-old converted from close range after great work from Tyreece John-Jules, who exchanged passes with Calum Chambers before picking out Nketiah.
We had already led once, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang forcing an own goal from Louis Poznanski. But Bayern looked to have taken the game to penalties when Robert Lewandowski headed in Serge Gnabry's cross.

    • I’m not discrediting Neketiah, quality talent just that we live in a world where the goal scorer takes the whole credit. Easy tap in, Props to Neketiah not many strikers or attackers like messi or Ronaldo put the time to press and win a play but big ups to Chambers who fought for that header and he vision that goal by combining a 1-2 for that play. Hockey assist from him. Wouldn’t mind him in the first team as a CM now that Ramsey is gone. Can be deployed now and develop is a box to box mid.

  • Wilock absolutely ran the game. It's hard to judge in preseason since players are still finding their fitness levels, but IF, and it's a big IF, he can carry this form into the season he could be our Ramsey replacement. Physically, he looks ready. He doesn't often get knocked off the ball. He just needs to get match-fit.

They have demonstrated that they can add something to the team either playing in the Europa League, against smaller teams or coming off the bench with 20-30 minutes to spare. Willock too... Who is our back up to Lacazette and Aubameyang? Should be Martinelli and Nketiah. Willock is probably good enough to start a lot of games as well... We should be focusing on midfield and defence for recruitment, not attack per se.

  • Hope fans don’t get too carried away with this, the squad still has huge issues, luckily I think they’re getting filled by Everton, Tierney, and a CB. Remember, we beat PSG 5-1 in preseason last year... Edit: I’m not saying we didn’t play well, I thought the team was very encouraging, especially the youngsters, just saying don’t get carried away and ignore the issues still present
