  • That's still my daily and I love her. She's light, close to the ground and with enough power to already have some nice sensations. She's also a very easy car to drive and park in an urban environment. Of course she have a lot of flaws but she's also packed with some real personality.

  • Good car, good test. I see it is a very pleasant car to drive. The gearbox seems to be very good, the couplings are fast and precise. And the driver drives in a very sporty way, lol In some moments it seems that he is in a rally. Despite being a low power and torque car, the car develops well because it has good gear, longer gear ratios, good engine responses and light weight. I was surprised by the video. I found it more pleasant than seeing a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini or a Bugatti

    • I drove a 206 (5 doors) with the same engine for like 10 years. I agree with you the gearbox is amazing for a small cheap car. There is definitely no power in it (you'll probably lose any race versus any car) but the sensations of driving it are somehow great ! And the sound is astonishing, specially for a 1.1L engine.

  • I had a 206 1.1i for almost 2 years i had around 45k kilometers and never skipped a beat. Always drove it like you did in the video. Max speed was 180 kmph.

    • @@MikevanLieshout yup exactly Had a Clio 2 with the 1.2 58hp and it was quite nervous but after 5500rpm the engine was dying... On a daily basis I was basically driving it like a diesel, max 3000rpm and it was driving pretty great like that, max torque was at 2500rpm and peak power at ~5000rpm

  • My first car was a 1.4, it was a lot of fun to drive but if only it had more power. Now I have a 407 coupe V6 and also a 207 CC 1.6 turbo (150hp) as a summer car and they're like a perfect combo, the 407 is a really comfortable cruiser although a bit heavy and large and the 207 CC is like the 206 but finally with enough power and also with the benefit of being a convertible. The sense of speed is so much greater in a small car

  • I had the same kind of car with the exact same power... A mighty Clio 2 phase 1 with 58 angry hp, 1.2l 4 cylinder engine, was fun to drive but the engine seized due to a broken head gasket and oil overheating
