Pro tip: If you see a black ring still inside your headphones, remove it as well because the ear pad should come off with the black ring instead of just pulling out the pad.
Thanks! This was my issue. I was at it endlessly but I couldn't get my earpads in. The black rings didn't come out with my earpads. Took a little work (ended up using a flathead screwdriver) to lift the rings out. After that I looked back at the video and saw the ring goes on the inner part of the earpad (inside the plastic ring or whatever. Takes some work getting them inside) and after that the earpads went in just like they do in the video. I had took my earpads out to clean/I wanted to see how hard/easy it was for when I replace them. Unfortunately one of my earpads (left ear) was starting to wear a bit and I had trouble getting it off, ended up ripping a notable bit (like a full corner) =/ Luckily it's on the part that is suppose to tuck it's not on the side that touches my ear. Also had a small rip on my right earpad which was perfectly fine before hand :( Guess I'll look into replacement pads sooner than later.
thank you so much i was struggling with 1 side for 20mins now untill i saw your comment
omg, ur actually a savior I spent the last 30 mins trying to figure this out
Love you, thank you
Is there a guide on how to reattach the ring? I can't seem to figure it out.
For those wondering. Yes the Game Zero earpads can be used on the Game One headset. I tried it myself. It makes the One headset a little bit more sound isolated tho. But a lot more comfortable, at least to me, I don’t like velvet ear pads.
THE ACTUAL EXPLANATION: found this out trying myself for 10 minutes since this video tells you nothing... as you can see at 0:22 the THICK side has to face DOWN! otherwise the earpads wont close the gap between the headphones and your head very well. removing is very simple, just pull the old pads off. make sure that there is no plastick ring left in the headphones, you have to see some screws around the rim. take the new earpads and place them on the counterpart. now you need to press REALLY HARD trough the foam on the plastic ring on the other side. pro tipp: try pressing on the inner part of the ring, since this is where it needs to click in! go around the earpad pressing at multiple places untill it sits tight. the thing is, you need to feel this stupid plastic ring through the foam, which is hard to tell whether you are pressing the right place or not. you should feel the plastic ring cicking into the rim of the headphones. its pretty hard to explain but once you got it, its not too hard.
thank you
Correct asf! Why is this not sticky'd
i have a sennheiser hd598 and ordered a game one , they came in today , they are pretty similar except the game one has a mic obviously, the game one"s ear cups were a bit smaller tho and my ears didnt fully fit in them , the great coincidence that they are actually the same headsets i could just swap out the ear cups from the hd598 onto the game one"s... i am very happy about that
cool, just ripped my headphones.
I was able to do the exact same thing with the game one hearphones, now to figure out how to get this headband off... Looks like its glued on :/
Is there a good way to clean the leather from smell and to care the leather for the future?
I love this headset but it hurts my left ear where the microphone is attached, it seems it needs thicker cups curious as to what kind I can get that are thicker
any advice on how to clean the mic boom? like the grate inside the mic.
@Suky Re: Pro Tip: if you hapen to to drop the ring feel it, the flat end of the "T" should be facing you when you put the ring in. also, Pro-Pro Tip: a rounded tip plastic prying tool will help a lot. (I myself used a cut up old Debit Card to work as a pick.)
took me about 2 minutes to put the replacements on thanks
thank you so much for that simple video. it help me a lot of. al clean ;)and top product!!!!
Thanx a lot for this video
i was so drunk and woke up and saw my 100€ headset pad torn off and paniced but thanks god it just clicked back in.
I just got my replacement ear pads and I was having trouble putting them on. This video didn't help at all. My advice to anybody that has arrived here for the same reason don't give up. But thank you Sennheiser these headphones are amazing regardless.
Thanks for the video but especially for the comments
Geez you make this look easy, Ive been going for 15 minutes trying to get 1 side on
did u figure it out? i just removed mine and i dont know how to put it back on
Please make a tutorial on how to replace the headband please
Just push it in hard enough that you start hearing clicks and then continue to click the whole way round, super easy took 1 minute to do both ears (G4ME ONE). The Zero might be harder.
My instructions: 1. try get it down in just 1 place (make it CLICK), and just hold it down, make sure THICK SIDE is pointing down 2. now stick your fingers INSIDE the earpad and try slightly stretch the plastic black ring on the "invisible" side of the pad (the side that isnt visible when its properly on) simultaneously as you are pushing the pad down 3. do that till you see no gap between the headset and the pad 4. do an extra check that there is no gaps between pad and headset Also, make sure you stretch the PLASTIC RING and not the earpad itself. the way these pads fit at all is from being rly rly tight which makes it almost impossible without stretching the plastic ring slightly. If you just try pushing the pad down WITHOUT stretching the ring, it will most likely be too narrow to fit in the tracks on the headset itself
hm its not working with me game zero i cant put them back on i guess i broke it
Some actual instructions would help. I figured it out on my own, thanks. :P
Simple, no nonsense, straight to the point. Not sure what everyone is complaining about. If you're actually observant you will see that the top of the pads are supposed to be thinner than the lower part. The rest is the same as the video, pull it out, then press it really hard until you hear clicking sounds confirming that it's in place. Rather have a 28s video than a 10 min video of someone that doesn't get to the point until 9:30. Thanks sennheiser
The top and bottom is exactly the same thickness. They also go in both ways, so if there is a miniscule difference, you cannot notice it with just observing. What they needed to do was marking the pads which way they should go, if there is an actual difference.
great, but where do I get the replaceable earpads?
Hi there! You can find them in our online store, here: en-us.sennheiser.com/accessories--pc-360--pc-363d--ear-cushion-hzp-26 :)
@@sennheiser you can send me new link? hzp 41 is not longer at your shop online. thanks in advance
I accidentally unhinged my new game ones when i tried taking off the pad how do i apply the front right hing back on to the headphone
Nice but how to change it without replacement parts ? Are you selling it ? I've bought some from an other brand because sennheiser is not doing earpad (lol) and it's really hard to setup.
It’s because sennheiser gave up on gaming area as far i know
@@LuckySeven50507 That's bad for us, i was so happy with it, i had to buy an other one from an other brand
Oh my god , it works .
Спасибо! 👍
holy shit took me actually 20mins to get the new ones on. u rly have to push that hard around them to make them "click" in.
I just saw (save money) that the ear pads used on sennheiser pc350 works on g4me zero! Just -80% cheaper!
What about the padding on the head band? I have a couple year's worth of hair clay that needs to be cleaned off the (suede?) padding...
Hi there! Thank you for your interest in this product. We'd love to send you more information, please fill out this form and we'll be in touch as soon as possible: en-us.sennheiser.com/contact-center - Thank you!
Hi There. I'm thinking about purchasing the Game Zero headset. They come with the leather pads, but I prefer the Game One's velvet earpads. Can the velvet Game One's earpads fit onto the Game Zero headset? Are they interchangeable?
The ear pads for GAME ZERO are slightly bigger than GAME ONE's. They are made of a different material too.
cliftonixs do you do that? Because i'm in the same case as you. I don't want leather for the earpod. Is there velvet one for game zero? Thanks
@cliftonixs Have you guys changed it?... I have the Game One, and it doesnt seal the noises around me, i wonder if changing to the leather cuffs will help cancel a little of the background noise...
Nope different earmuff material doesnt change it.
Just something I picked up from this video, the game zeroes dont have any cable attached to them, can you remove the cable on your own? Or was it without a cable for this video only? :)
The cables are detachable.
Sennheiser I have never knew about this, do you have any guides or video on how? I would love to know :)
the old version does not but the new revision does.
Yeah I noticed a while after I wrote the comment, pretty embarrasing that I have had them for 1 1/2 years and haven't realized you can unplug the cable :P
revision?
Anyone know if there is a replacement part for the red inner panel?
I know I'm 4 years late but since noone replied I'd suggest just contacting customer support
woa ef you lol making it look easy, finaly got my second one on and my hands are numb!!!
So... Any advice on cleaning them?
Hand wash or buy new ones. If you have the Game One, the velour is a horrid thing for picking up skin, dirt and oil, you can only make them last so long before its best to just replace them.
i can't plug them back in
Will I be able to attach Game Zero ear pads to my Game Ones?
Right side... 10 seconds. Left side... 1 hour.
das ja easy, thanks a lot"!
hey! where can i get brand new Gamezero earpads? and not those cheap chinese velvet copy...
There is this metal stabilizer thing in the 0:07 metal round thing that has R and L on it. My one snapped due to the headphones continuously getting caught on my chair and falls off the table as I leave. Is there a way to fix it or order a part for it? The headphones are still usable but its just the right cup sticks out in a 45 degree angle and when i put it on my big head.
I have the same issue, how can we repair it?
Same
Hey guys i wana ask You all how long lasted Your ear pads before You need to swap to new ones ?
I can not attach my new ear pads. Do I have to press one side first or everything at the same time?
Hi pengukeks, Fit it to one side and slowly pinch the rest.
Name of original Ear pads?
Are the ear cups covered under warranty? One of mine has come apart
Please email [support2@sennheiser.com] our Service center or call [877-736-6434] and they will be happy to assist!
Me too! Can you send me new ear pads (I have again few days of warranty)? I sent mail now (ticket 98230 or mail C170612-0003).
Keep beleiving its possible! You will get it eventually. Took me 2 hours
Took me about 2 minutes, don't know what your problem is
拿掉舊耳罩後,要注意裡面是否有塑膠圈(O環),有的話將會妨礙裝新的耳罩進去, 仔細看的話,裡面會有卡榫,安裝方式正確,真的就是像影片中, 壓進去就好了。
Holy hell I can't freaking do it! It never attaches properly.
flip the ear cup i found that helped
Now where do we buy these ear pads
Happy Me On Sennheiser website ;)
search it, it's not there for Canada,
Do the HD 600 earpads work on the Game One?
Search the Sennheiser forums tbh. You find random tid bits. That's how I found that HZP 26 pads work for my PC37Xs
Pro tip, don't name it the game one tutorial when it's not actually the Game One tutorial
Can you buy these in the US because i can only find a dealer?
Please email [support2@sennheiser.com] our Service center or call [877-736-6434] and they will be happy to assist!
really, i got mine ordered in like 5 minutes
idk what u did but you changed the material of the earpads, they feel so cheap now.. the sponge inside makes a "static" noise all the time.. its super uncomfortable. i had 3 of these headsets, the first one was excellent.. the other 2 were not up to par with the first
And the top ?
Really interest me
Okay guys, my tip for you : If you think you press hard to get the pad onto your headphone, you are wrong. It feels like the person that designed this wanted to infuriate me. You have to press Insanely Hard to get this shit on
Thank you, this helped
45$ for 2 replacement pads, 2 broken thumbs, and a broken game zero nice
Okay thanks i had to destroy my whole headset before I could know that you still have to uninstall a black ring out instead of forcing to jamming the whole thing that totally feels wrong. But said to do anyways in the video! Nice help yeah
ITS NOT THAT EZ LOL you have to start with 1 corner and then stretch the other ends so you start from top and then stretch to corners holding them REALLY hard in place untill all get in place
Where do I buy this ?
Hi there! You can find replacement ear pads for the GAME ZERO in our online store here: en-us.sennheiser.com/hzp-41
nah man, it was not that easy for me; left ear cup took 1 minute the right took 10 mins...
WARNING: If you try to pull out used ear pads as shown in the video, you risk damaging them! If your pads aren't completely new, as the ones in the video seem to be, better use a pocket knife to get out the plastic rings attaching the pads to the headset or you risk pulling the pads apart from the rings and in doing so making them unusable. Aim the tip of a pocketknife at the four screw indentations you can see at 0:10 and lever out the ring to keep the ear pads intact.
Well, it may look easy on the video, but it is really not easy!
What type of ear pads should i get to replace my GAME ZERO ear pads?
I recently replaced mine with the non leather pads. They are much more durable and do not end up "peeling" off.
r3mxd which ones exactly were they? As I am curious in getting a pair. Just not sure which ones are compatible
+r3mxd the leather pads "peeling off"? They feel 1000x better and mine still look and feel like factory new and I have my headset for like a year+-
idk about you guys complaining down there, but this was actually a really good tutorial.
Not that easy, but okay then...
Rather buy just new headset next time fingers hurting like hell and took about 2 hours to get these fuckers on the headset, terrible! never going to change earpads ever again it was pain
Game One should of just came with leather ear pads instead XD
I've had those type of pads and they peal pretty easily. And once they start peeling it just spreads. They are far superior for noise cancellation though. I have a game one now with the foam/velvet pads like these and they feel a lot better. After years of frequent use one ear cup started ripping and I was able to sew them right back up. The velvet is superior for durability.
Thank you Scumbag Lemon :) Some material makes me wringe, lol. So its hard to say if I'd like or not without trying it on :P
this video is so unhelpful. does this attach by glue or by some sort of magic? there doesn't seem to be an obvious locking mechanism on the ear pads.
Please use this link to speak with customer support: en-us.sennheiser.com/contact-center
Oof, $53 AUD for a pair of pads. Yeah i dont think so. (22USD=32AUD.)
LOL
ich bekomme diese nirgens zu kaufen!
Hallo Stefan, bitte wende dich an das Gaming team hier: gaming-products@senncom.com - Danke :)
Liar!!!!
Please contact customer support if you need assistance: en-us.sennheiser.com/contact-center
upload a video where the guy changes both sides and then takes the hands away from the headset. took me 10 min each side
Crap video. Use alot of force!
Haha its just the normal Sennheiser style ear pads, its so easy yet everyone in the comments is struggling.
Thanks Sennheiser for the "Wonderful" and almost condescending explanation. I know who to avoid purchasing from in the future. Thank you to the ones who actually helped in the comments
