Another wonderful video. Those pants for Nellie are going to be so cute. Enjoy the last 4 weeks of pregnancy as you look forward to welcoming Nellie into this world.
I wonder if it would be a good idea to have some kind of interfacing on the inside of the sleeves where you attach the leather patches, so that you are sandwiching those worn elbows between two stable fabrics? Sewing a tighter weave to a looser weave often weakens the looser fabric, so interfacing might help the longevity.
What beautiful things you are working on! I love the little pants!❤ Do you think sewing the patches on with a fine brown wool would be better than thread or floss? What a great find!
Just think - next year's holiday season will include an additional little person. You may be skiing with her on your back or perhaps she'll be pulled in a sled. She won't understand Christmas but I am certain she'll enjoy it. That tree skirt is beautiful and a lovely addition to the cabin. Best wishes for an easy Labor & Delivery.
So I used lanolized wool handknit cloth diaper covers for 3 of my babies. The biggest tip I can offer is to wash the poop off them straight away. Once it dries on it takes a long time to soften to be washed off later.
So nice to see you, I was wondering if perhaps the little one had arrived, but not yet! All the best in 2024🥂
All the best with the upcoming birth of your baby! Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for doing these podcasts! I enjoy them so much, not just for the lovely projects, but also to learn about knitting in another country/culture, it's so interesting! Your confidence and courage in your own knitting has inspired me lately to try going off-pattern and trusting my own ability
I'm so glad! Thank you😁💕
Love the new Amy Slipover! You inspired me to knit one and I gifted it to my daughter-in-law and now have plans for one for my daughter! Take care of yourself! ❤
Wonderful!
The tree skirt is beautiful 😍 I always look forward to your videos!!
Thank you for another lovely episode! Those pants for Nelli are so cute ❤ Enjoy the next weeks with your growing family :)
Thank you! 😊
Blessings and joy to you in all things family and all things knitting! 💕
I do love the colour combination used in your rescue cardigan.
All the best Inga, for the imminent arrival of little Nelly/Nellie! I hope you have a quick, stress free birth, and hopefully we'll get to meet the little one (but totally understand if we don't). I really enjoy your podcasts, they're very relaxing and I have learned a lot from you and rediscovered my love of knitting, so thank you! ❤
You were the first knitting podcast I found, and you remain my favorite! Happy New Year Inga!
Happy new year! Thank you so much😘💕
Thank you for all the inspiration and sharing your time with us! Blessings to you and all the coming joy in the new year!
Happy new year!
I knit the Norwegian way but I purl with the yarn in front of the needle! You dive into the stitch with your needle, make sure your tread is behind the needle. Go over the tread and take it through the stitch. It feels like knitting on the front side. If you want to see the route of the tread, then look at the video of Stephan West showing how to purl. He does something with his finger but I have my fingers on the needle. The movement is much more relaxt and maybe you're going to like knitting baby trousers. 😊 Thank you so much for your video's. You do soooooo much knitwork. Amazing. (Less is also oke)
Hi, thank you for a great podcast! For the Amy slipover, I made the bands shorter, just around 35 cm instead of 55 cm. That can save some yarn for you, and give a less bulky slipover. I wish a Happy New Year! / Louise
Your knits are always so stunning! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year 🎊! Try to rest if you can before Nellie comes. The little leggings are absolutely adorable 🥰. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Wishing you and your new family all good things in 2024, Inga! ❤
Happy new year!
Everything you knit is sooooo beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing. I love those adorable pants. Enjoy resting up, all cozy in the cabin. How exciting the next months will be! Happy New Year!

Thank you so much!
Thank you for such a lovely showing of your gorgeous knitting. I am 76 and now live near my daughter and family in a small town in SE Alaska they call “The Little Norway”, Petersburg. Your little daughter to be Im sure will also be a wonderful knitter. My granddaughter at 7 is learning embroidery from a Xmas gift and I love helping her. Onward to 2024, and a new baby! How exciting and lovely. Happy New Year to you and those you love.🎉
That sounds wonderful, im sure shel cherish those moments wmbroidering with you😍
Just watching you on skis!!!! Great bump!!
Wishing you Happy New Year…and very happy and healthy Baby. What an exciting time for you and your family. Happy knitting , gayle in Stillwater , Minnesota.
Everything you create is stunning... Nelly's little clothes are heavenly. What a lucky little girl💖💕💖💕💖💕
🎉✨🎊🎈🎈❄️🕯️🌟God bless you and your baby girl who will be as beautiful as her mother 🙏🏻✨🕊
Your knits are gorgeous. The tree skirt came out great. Your Christmas stocking is inspiring. Maybe I’ll start making them for my family. Nelly's little pants are adorable. You are so right on not knowing what size they will wear in each season. Have you seen the sleep/ snug sack patterns on Ravelry? Blankets are discouraged for babies here in the US so my granddaughter was nice and cozy in hers and it was a quick knit. And last but not least, Norway is so beautiful! I hope to visit someday. Thanks for sharing your beautiful surroundings.🌲❄❄⛄🏔 Happy New Year!
Hi Inga, love your videos and I am so impressed with what all you churn out! Maybe you could do a little snippet of a video on your knitting style because you must be a super fast knitter to get all of these projects done 😮. Best wishes for the last part of your pregnancy and delivery!
Thank you! I do have two short demonstration videos of how i knit and purl on my channel😁
You are also my first knitting podcast and still my favorite as well. Hope you have a Very Happy New Year full of blessings and keep on knitting 🧶♥️♥️
Happy new year!
I can confirm that those Drops pants for babies are great! I made a similar pair (ribbing on top and cuffs, legs on stockinette) for my son for his first winter and he’s now 18 months and still wearing them. They are a nice alternative to bulky synthetic snow pants (like if baby is outside near a fire you don’t want them in synthetics).
Agreed! I have seen first hand through work what fire and synthetics can do to children😔
Happy New Year Inga! Wishing all the best in 2024 🎉. Thank you for your wonderful podcasts and allowing us to follow along on your exciting journey. Cheers from Nelson, BC Canada Karen 🧶
Happy new year!
Happy new year to you and your family. Thank you for your show and the amount I have learned through your knitting sharing is so precious to me. I am much more fearless about modifying things and more likely to be creative. Many positive vibes for your pregnancy and delivery. Be well Inga.
Happy new year!
Same--you were the first knitting podcast I found and you are my favorite. You have inspired me, broadened my horizon in yarns and shown me how to improvise. Happy New Year! I hope Nellie comes easy and on time.
Wow, thank you! Happy new year😘🥹
Happy New Year! I'm watching while knitting a Checkmate sweater for my husband 😊 and dreaming about my knitting plans for 2024
Happy new year!!
Best Friday treat ever! Have a great New Years Eve and all the best to you in the New Year!
Happy new year!
Good luck with the baby. Thank-you for this amazing podcast. I really enjoy watching it but realistically I don’t think we’ll see you much in the next year. But that’s a good thing. Baby Nelly will need you more. Happy new year 🎉
We shall see🤭💕
Ahhh thank you for selecting me as the winner!! 🥰 There are so many amazing entries in the dreamknitkal I've been favouriting so many projects! 😆 Your scarf is coming along so nicely, and it seems like you're getting the chance to rest and nest before Nelli arrives. Have a wonderful new year!
Thank you for this wonderful holiday treat!! It has been a year of trying new things in knitting (nothing radical, but have tried several new skills). I am currently working on some self-drafted color work mittens. I'm excited to have new cozy mittens, and it was wonderful to get to work on them while hearing about your projects and plans. I wish you and your family a wonderful start to the new year! And I am so excited for Nellie getting closer to her arrival! Happy New Year!!
Wonderful! Happy new year🥰
Happy new year and hope you have an easy delivery with a happy and healthy baby this new year!

Happy holidays!
So excited to be able to relax and enjoy you! I finally received by beautiful Biches & Buches yarn and I cannot put this pattern down!!! I don’t duplicate a lot of patterns but this one may be the exception! Here’s wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Years! Love, love, love when you podcast from your beautiful cabin!
Those pants for Nellie will be perfect for her! Especially with the Camelia sweater you knitted for her too. It’s so fun to knit a wardrobe for littles. Especially when it doesn’t take as much yarn as it does for adult garments. Happy New Year!
Happy 2024, Inga! It’s wonderful to see you out there on skis, enjoying the snow and introducing little Nellie to the rhythms of skiing in utero. I’m in a ski town in the Colorado Rockies, also enjoying the snow and beauty of the winter landscape, so happy to have my handknits to wear and inspiration from you to keep on knitting.
Best wishes for a safe and happy delivery and welcome to little Nellie! I'm looking forward to seeing her.
Happy New Year’s 🎉. Can’t wait to see your new arrival. May your delivery go well.
Happy new year!!
Inga! You are absolutely amazing whatever you do the Christmas tree skirt is gorgeous it would take me 100 years! I’m not surprised you didn’t go skiing ⛷ you are so near to bringing baby Nellie into the world! Best stay where you are warm and cosy! Happy New Year! Hugs & xx 💕🧶💕😘
Love your ski suit, so cute! I am knitting on some baby things myself, as I just found out I will be a grandmother in June...so excited! I'm making the Sunny Baby Blanket ( a free pattern) using Purl Soho's Morning...it's dreamy soft, and also the bunny Bunny Odile...using mohair/silk and fingering held double. I had to go down to US 00 needles!!! But it's gonna be SO DARN CUTE! It's lovely to see your snow, here on the coast of Maine it hasn't yet snowed enough to XC ski. HOpefully soon. Happy New Year Inga! Also...I love the name Nellie...can't wait to see her...hope you give us a peek one day!
I was so excited to see you post this video today. OH my GOODNESS- those little pants!!!!!!😍 Love!!!! Happy New Year!!!! - Kimberly
Happy New Year, Inga! All the best to your growing family 🥰 May I share an idea regarding your cashmere slipover? Might be interesting (in terms of yarn mannagement) to make a neck as high as you can tolerate and then procede to those long ties for the sides. If then there is any yarn left from making them, you might want to go back to the neck and add lenght (or just bind off if none is left). In other words: prioritizing your neck and chest over the side ties 😁
Thank you for the lovely comments at the end. I have been watching your channel for a good while. Feels like I have a friend to talk knitting. Thank you for inspiring me to pick up my needle. Happy new year.
Happy new year knitting friend😘💕
Winter is a great time to be pregnant 😊. My older brother was born in January in a snowstorm so my mother chose August for me. Bad idea! It was so very hot and she was miserable. My three younger brothers were born in November, December, and January.
Thank you for the lovely episode. I loved how you did the end knit dream kal. So fun to watch and try to catch your project and also seeing so many beautiful ones. Glad the winner made that particular cardigan- well deserved price. Happy New Year 🥳

I love your tree skirt, so pretty! The stocking turned out great, I know what you mean about going back and weaving in ends. Much easier to knit the red into the pattern as you go. The little pants for Nellie are so cute! I can't wait to see them on her!
