Exploring Hidden Springs! More Ruins Of 180 Year Old Spring Resort! Fresh Water Found! Oak Mountain
Join us on another exciting Adventure into History as we return to the scenic slopes of Oak Mountain in search of hidden natural springs. This time, Dan and I are lucky enough to discover not just one, but three flowing freshwater springs nestled in the wilderness. Experience the refreshment with us as we taste the cool, pristine waters of these secluded gems.
But the adventure doesn't stop at the springs! Climb aboard my classic '57 Chevy as we cruise through the breathtaking landscapes of Oak Mountain. The journey through time doesn't end with natural wonders-wrap up the video with a special flashback to a memorable, albeit muddy, misadventure when we got the Ford truck stuck on a treacherously washed-out road.
It’s a blend of nature's beauty, automotive nostalgia, and thrilling mishaps you won't want to miss! Join us to relive the moments and make some new ones on this picturesque mountain exploration.
We drank the tasty water this time! Stay tuned for the end for a “stuck in the mud on Oak Mountain” redux! Enjoyed the video, thanks!
Great video, thanks for sharing. Please be so kind as to check your email. Thanks!
So glad y’all made it out what would we do without Robert and Dan!?!?
Gentlemen ... I am a left coast girl from the PNW ... You never fail to put a smile on my face with your adventures. I so appreciate your grace and respect, humor and sense of curiosity ... not to mention your knowledge of times gone by. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us.
You two together are so much fun…a joy to watch!
The value of good friends.
The adventures of Dan and Robert again.
Love when you guys do videos together
It's been forever since I was able to drink fresh spring water. Mother nature is awesome!
I love the way that engine sounds in the 57. Smooth !
I wonder what motor he has in it?
@@bobr2959 He said once and even showed it. It's beautiful. I don't remember either a 350 or 327. It's clean as a whistle.
Y’all really aren’t gonna tell us the lid story?! I appreciate how Dan often responds to you with simply a “yeah” when you sometimes make an observation statement/question. He says it the way a master would, like Yoda or Mr. Miyagi, as if it’s something he was born knowing and Robert the student is finally beginning to learn. He doesn’t do it disrespectfully but it makes me chuckle every time. Really, though, it's like you respect him so much that even though you already know you want to make sure you've included any additional input he has. But he knows you've covered it and just says, "yeah." It's a whole dynamic between the two of you in one word. Also, have to say, I get a lot of joy watching how y'all worked on getting your truck unstuck that day. It’s such a wonderful observation of friends bonding and making deeper connections. Love it so much! Finally, the more I see of Oak Mountain the more I think it’s such a pretty area. I wouldn’t mind spending more time out there. I can definitely see why the Milners chose it to found their small town of Cleola.
At time stamp 6:14 Mr Dan finds a beautiful cinnamon fern !
Stuck again you two LOL LOL, I tell ya never a dull moment with Robert and Dan. Good thing you have spring water to drink.
Oh my Lord! This takes me back to the 1950’s going down miles and miles of old dirt cow paths to my greatgrampies farm. We never knew if we would make it or not. Thanks for sharing your life experiences and the crazy fun y’all have. I also love the old truck just like the ones I remember.
So amazing! Thanks for sharing. Imagine how it must have been for the Native Americans and pioneers being able to drink clean, cold spring water ❤
That was wonderful. I enjoyed the muddying used to do it with my son. I am 86 now he died 24 years ago. age 34 still miss him
Sorry for your loss. Too young.
Oh man, does that bring back memories of roads I should never have been on in the first place--long before cell phones!
Springs are GOLD!👏👏👏
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and Robert and Dan bringing out the past history
Dan drank that water and felt froggy! 🐸 Haha Another neat adventure. Hope you felt no ill effects.
That area looks so beautiful. I can see why people would build a resort there. Somebody mentioned the resort water for the Old Byrd Farm. Intriguing idea. Thank you again Robert and Dan for this cool adventure. Never know what's going to happen when you two go adventuring. I love watching these videos.
Looked like fun 😊 glad ya'all made it out!!! Keep enjoy life Boys 💙 💙 Be safe 🙏 ❤
What a beautiful Forrest and springs ! So peaceful 😊
Did Blue get him a drink Too? Yeah, he did! Memorable moments on old Georgia backroads.
It is a beautiful place, and not a wonder it was a resort. Bottling Oak Mountain Spring Water as part of The Old Byrd Farm Co sounds like a great idea 😉. Who owns it tho? The '57, yay! Oh no! I think I am having a flashback...the recently infamous malfunctioning GPS...Surprise crossover! 😂😅❤❤👍👍
When I saw you both in the feed and read the title, the first thing I thought was your with Robert again Dan, on back roads. LOL 🤣😂😉🤣
Hello, and a beautiful place you found with the water springs. And yet you got stuck in the mud 😅😅😅😅 well you are rescued. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
No fun getting stuck out on the road ! What a beautiful area & good spring water !
Is that a spring or an artesian well ?
You guys love to take a chance on the old Georgia roads.😊
😂 Way nicer drive then the last time huh guys!👍😃. A beautiful area! Thank you for the tour you two. I bet the water tasted good!
That was a cinnamon fern, very pretty (around 6 min mark by old head where salamander was). That’s a pretty photo when you looked back down the road towards the car, in the beginning. Kinda reminds me of the beginning of the mountains where you are . Thanks for taking us along! I always enjoy your videos.
Haha, way cool! Maybe the Fountain of Youth is out there.
Hey from Memphis. Poor Dan kept thinking: a 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour the weather started getting rough……
I loved the ride down the muddy road!
You two are a hoot
You guys are having way too much fun playing in the mud.
Don’t feel bad even 4 wheel drive vehicles get stuck that’s why they have winches
You guys have stumbled upon a (figurative) gold mine. Super nice area.
Looks like a great place to live there’s plenty of water 😊
You took one for the team drinking that water..lol !
Nothin but a rock lol. Beautiful area, love those springs and the ferns...just looking at it makes you feel refreshed.❤from KY
M y grandfather and dad used to take us kids up to a Spring in Northern Wisconsin and the last visit we made was so disheartening. They had logged and just destroyed the area. We found the Spring - but it wasn't drinkable.
What a shame!
I Have Had My Fun In The Alabama Mud XXXXX Red Poo Poo.
I was on some back Georgia roads today and the mud had me worried. The deep sand also had me worried. You've got some wild country roads down here. 😅
LOL !! Now this one was Dan's Fault !! Him and his GPS !! LOL----You boys and gettin stuck in the mud !!
Good afternoon Dan and Robert. Robert your price less. The things you try and get Dan to do. Love it. Keep up the good work.
You guys rock we love you now l we need is the other Robert oh boy wouldn't that be a riot take care guys we love you 💞❤
Yes the other Robert would be a riot yes love it.
I really enjoyed the video, Dan and Robert you guys are great. Lol. Brings back some pleasant memories. As a small child, my parents had a red '57 with a white hardtop, sedan and it was an automatic. You have a diamond in the rough. And then the venturing days of also getting stuck in the mud but in a Volare station wagon, one of those that kept running even after turning it off and walking away. Lol. Then without a cell phone, back in the day, we were left gathering sticks and packing them around the tires. Covered in mud and all but we would get out. Thanks
My neighborhood! I enjoy the water occasionally too, it’s just what water should taste like. That spring flows just like that even in the heat of the summer too. Old timers have told me that water makes the best moonshine imaginable and people back in the day would come far and wide to fill water for their mash drums.
Are you guys scouting out a place to set up a still ? The 57 Chevy would make a great ridge running moonshine hauler
Man! I was sitting on the edge of my seat as you drove through that mud. What a slippery type mud. Slick stuff ,like clay. Cool 'spring' way out in the beautiful woods. We have those in Arkansas, Whole towns, populations of 5,000 or more get water right out directly ( Its piped to each home) from huge springs there. Evening Shade, Cherokee village ,Arkansas all get water out of springs for years now. Then you've got Hot Springs, Arkansas and those medicinal springs you can soak in and drink. Hot Springs was known for its healing benefits. Minerals we all need for good health.
A beautiful day in the countryside until the rain came!
Oh, intrepid explorers. So much fun seeing you get through that muddy mess. Glad you made it out!
Reminds me of the Artesian water I remember at the river we use to fish at when I was a youngun.. great video
So glad you and Dan found the right spring !!!!…..more important you didn’t get sick from drinking out the first one 😀 …..love the video of you and Dan stuck in that muddy mess of a road and the group effort to get y’all out 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 praise for great friends ❤️
WOW! What a ride!
Beautiful We have supermarket water Probably dead water Tap water who knows whats in it I would love a cup of that water Thank you
That was quite the adventure at the end!!! 😆
What a beautiful area. While I don't think I'd sip any of that water, an indicator of its purity is shown by the multitude of frogs. Frogs are considered canaries these days, with many disappearing due to polluted water. This would be a lovely area to camp in.
Nothing better than water straight from a spring.
Now that was fun!
Well that certainly was a new adventure. lol. I just saying to myself, yeehaw, when you were making your way out of that road.
Ours comes from a deep aquifer. I can imagine the freshness of what y'all are drinking. Makes me want some.
Awesome video I enjoyed it love it💙💙💙💙🐕👀👍
That's living mountain water. I enjoy this one a bunch , the area is a beauty thanks guys.
What an adventure!! Love going mudding...
Love the car! 👌🏽
I Loved this!! Walking in the woods and finding a lot of springs!! The wet ride trying to get out looked like soo much fun!!
Beautiful country. Getting stuck appears to be a talent of yours.
I like to go on adventures myself, I like watching your videos. I get excited when the notifications come up for your videos!
What a beautiful place. ❤ It's a great video, as always! 🙏🏽👍🏽👏🏽💯
That looked stressful. And fun once it’s all over with. Great video thanks for posting!

Good old muddy roads!!! 😂❤
Well, THAT was a hell of a ride !!! ................ waiting to see if you 'uns get sick from that water.......
Beautiful area 👍
That looked intense
I love springs, too!
Would be nice if resort was still there. Great video
That was a fun ride along in that old car and the truck too!
What a gorgeous place that Oak Mountain . I would love to place a small house right smack in the middle of it n I’d be so happy. It’s always been a dream to live in the woods on a mountain. I think that’s another part of the reason I live Georgia of all the springs it has. In the future Robert second guess Dans advice LOL. Loved the ending of video. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
I came for the adventure but I stayed for the drama! You boys need an Alaskan friend to get you some chains on your tires. Your treads get impacted with mud and turn into racing slicks.
Ohhhh Lordt, not again lol
I like the ple 57.
That was crazy! Reminded me of the "Outback Truckers" series from Australia. Same red, slippery mud. And getting those prime movers with a b-train unstuck was a big task.
Blu was leading the way!
What an adventure 👍👍
Love the 55 or 56 Chevy! That's my idea car to have.
Coolest car. I would love to go on adventures with you guys. I used to drink out of a few springs my grandfather showed me growing up. My son found one last year on a mountain we deer hunt on. Love watching you two!
Thanks!
Beautiful place and car 😊
That place is beautiful
Yes very pretty little rainforest area
The guy in the jeep is having way too much fun. LOL
