This channel is criminally under exposed. I only discovered it recently but its amazing how much I've already learned and been inspired by. I'm looking forward to more videos about map making and I'm now going to try and find the one for the world map.
Aw thanks for that, made my morning
This is a fantastic tutorial for new world builders. I love the way you integrated economy and security into the development of the town. I've been doing that for years. I actually take the time to write a short story and build the town/city around that.
Ooo making a short story is a great idea. Thanks for the love :D
Loaded up YT to you posting this! I love Inkarnate, great tutorial, inspiring as always.
Aw thanks! I'm glad I have some fellow Inkarnate users out there
I would love future stuff like this. Maybe having several videos of how a town turns into a full city and the why of different locations
I can do that! thanks for the love!
Really good tutorial. Been using Inkarnate for one year now and I can concur with many of your positive points. It is still really good to watch this and learn from passionate people. Have a wonderful day everyone! Thanks for the vid.
A nice little tip for ground textures is to play around with rotation of the textures before putting them down. It makes the pattern blend into itself much better and makes the seams less noticeable.
oh shit that's a pro tip! Never thought about that. Thank you!
No problem, loving the videos, keep it up!
Really enjoyed how you explained your thought process of the town growing, found that very helpful to see your town making process
I tried really hard not to ramble lol. Glad it helped :D
Inkarnate is super awesome. Just completed a whole region with 5 towns, forests, dragonborn stronghold, lich lair, dragon lair, underwater city and many other things. Super cool program. Really like the video, Forge. Good job!
aw shucks, thank you! Inkarnate is awesome. Did you use the paid version?
@@TheFantasyForge Yes I did. It had some stamps that I really needed for the lich lair and dragonborn stronghold. But mostly I just used the the core stuff, which really speaks to how much you can do with it.
@@michaelowens4507 honestly though, it's a great tool. *please sponsor me Inkarnate*
Yes to more videos of the town growing 😊🙏
Can do! :D Thanks for the love
Love your vids! thanks, needed this very much.
Aw shucks, thank you!
Love this. I actually did some town-building with this video running along-side/in the background. As for a town name, why not name it after the Inn, since thats what started this whole town? Call it... Hilltop. :)
Hey that's awesome! Glad to be some ambience for your world building haha And omg that's a great idea, now just need a name for the inn
I'm doing a city that's on the road between two big cities, so this was really helpful!
Glad it helped! I've been meaning to do another part showing how the town turns into a city
Thanks for this. Just started using Inkarnate before discovering your channel. Useful tips.
glad I could help! Thanks for the love
Amberhill sprung to mind for this little town. Influenced by the amber gathering industry and the hill everything is centered around, it could also be because the homes that sit in the "old town" area on the hill are all painted with a golden hue.
Not sure what that is! Please let me know cuz I'm curious lol
I love this! I've been using incarnate but not good at making towns. I can't wait to use this to help me figure out my own towns!
I like your enthusiasm
Awesome stuff man. I love the way you go into worldbuilding history, thinking about the town would have evolved. I could easily see that being a popular little mini series .. where you draw a type of "Iconic Location" explaining along the way why it would make sense that such and such is there.. instead of just what looks good.. EDIT: I just checked Inkarnate, I think the "watercolor cities" stamps you use are pro now.. at least I cannot access them with the free version
Appreciate the love. And that’s so weird! I’ll have to check that out cuz this was just a few days ago 🤪
I need this honestly. I'm horrible with stuff like this.
It's not easy! Hope it helps, thanks for the love!
amazing stuff man hope more people find your videos
hope you make morem inkarnate vids
I only use it once per month in preparation for my campaign i'm running and i STILL pay for the subscription just to support this incredible company since they have such low prices
They really do have such a great tool, I also support them 🥲🥰
i like Inkarnate but it's been kinda hard to get into, this was really helpful!
takes a sec to learn that's for sure
