  • If you have to leave high school to work for wages, plan on continuing your studies alone, and work toward getting your GED. It IS important to have at least that level of education. If you can't do college, try technical school. Get whatever certifications you can. MAKE yourself employable -- and desirable as an employee. What the HR guy did to this kid was inappropriate and unacceptable, but it represents a common attitude among employers. Some employers even demand a degree to be hired for jobs that do not require one, just because they really DO judge based on education.
