  • NL, making bread is perfect for your lifestyle. you mix the ingredient, and knead the bread (by hand or in a mixer) for 15 minutes, and then cover it, record an isaac episode, come back, shuffle it into a oiled bread pan, record another isaac, and then bake it for ~30 minutes.

    @halfwing3306@halfwing33063 жыл бұрын
    • That doesn't sound like the process for making sourdough. I've got a starter, and it's quite a bit more complicated. You have to mix it, let it sit for ~30 min, fold it, wait another ~30 min, fold it, maybe do one or two more folds after 30 min waits. You then have to bulk rise it for ~4 hours. You then pre-shape it, let it sit for ~20 min, then shape it. You then let it proof for a couple hours at least, up to overnight in the refrigerator. You then bake it for ~40-50 min.

      @Sgman1991@Sgman19913 жыл бұрын
    • @@Sgman1991 maybe not sourdough specifically but there's plenty of doughs that are like proof once at room temp for an hour, punch down and proof in a fridge overnight or at room temp for another hour. there's definitely breads that can be tailored to an isaac episode schedule

  • So a yeast starter (for anyone who is curious and doesn't care enough to google it) is basically a colony of yeast, either bought commercially or captured from your surroundings. The flavor it imparts is largely due to the strain(s) of yeast that you have in your starter. This is also a large part of developing the flavor of different types of cheeses. You use different strains of yeasts and bacteria to create different flavor profiles as it ages. Likewise, the flavor of a starter will mature and change over it's lifetime. Usually you keep your yeast in roughly a cup of flour (the actual amount is based on the amount of starter you plan on using), and at regular intervals, you have to feed it sugar. When you use some of it in your bread, you simply replenish the starter by adding some more flour, maybe a dash of water, and some sugar (if it needs it) and simply leave your yeast to reproduce. Think of it almost like a needy herb garden. You can mostly ignore it, but it requires regular, simple maintenance, and whenever you need a little bit of it's produce, you simply take a pinch of it.

Before progressing took like a week, the progression is also at a certain point entirely pvp. If you die 3 times, you wipe and have to start all over. There are things like Phoenix downs which will give you a life back, but they are rare. But now progressing takes about 2 days to get through 3/4ths of the progression so it's not too bad now.

  • You can tell Pearl Jam and Creed apart pretty easily for a few reasons: Creed has a lot of songs with clean electric guitar openings or drop-tuned riffs Pearl Jam has more blue, classic rock and punk influence which is reflected in the riffs The two have different guitar tones and production styles Creed has a lot of long slow songs - Pearl Jam does too, but to a MUCH lesser extent. Pearl Jam’s dynamics are less reliant on switching between clean and distorted tones, they still do it sometimes but not as frequently. Creed’s ballads often omit percussion in the first verse, and also their drummer is far more stripped down. Both bands have similar sounding snares, though. Pearl Jam has two/three guitar parts depending on the song, Creed usually has one. The vocals are the most obvious giveaway but even if it was just instrumentals I feel like I could differentiate between the two at least 75% of the time.

  • Not only am I certain that I could single out pepsi max from any of the coca cola variants in a blind taste test; I'd do it in a smell test alone. My life used to be pepsi max.

  • "Do you check your emails?" If you're professional, no matter the profession, you have at least one address where the answer is always "yes." NL gets that. That's why he has limits.
