  • As a BMW owner, and I've had more than one, I'm not a fan of the video screen instrument/entertainment dash. Also, I'd prefer an actual shift lever or handle, or whatever you want to call it, rather than something that looks more like an ON-OFF switch.

  • So, as a big Mercedes fan, I gotta say the new BMW series looks absolutely gorgeous, way better than the previous one. And the coolest part is they're sticking with the 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Maybe I should consider getting a BMW for my next ride! Some ppl are totally in love with the car's performance and it puts a smile on their face every time they hop in. But there's a bit of a bummer for Americans - they don't get those awesome M seat options. Oh - and the Skyscraper Grey color and wheels match perfectly. But, hey, not everyone's fully on board with the changes. Some people aren't fans of the new iDrive8 and think it looks like it was added as an afterthought. And they miss the good old shift lever instead of that ON-OFF switch thing.

  • As an hardcore mercedes fan i have to say the new series looks beautiful. Much more then the previous. And the best fact is that they are holding on to the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder. Maybe my next car will be a BMW 🫡

  • Brilliant video, thanks for sharing! I know people all moan about the new idrive8 however I think it looks awesome. Pick up my M340D in a days time, not only do I think this LCI is nicer looking than the previous, but I think the interior looks more modern. People don’t like change, and whilst I understand some comments it’s not actually that bad. Out of interest, what colour is this?

  • Real shame we don't get the M seat options for this car in the US. I've got my LCI ordered about 3 weeks ago with every option other than the alcantara steering wheel. The M-performance exhaust is expensive but a must-buy addition if you don't want to go aftermarket.

  • Everything is great except the idrive8. I dont like how it is “integrated” and that you don’t have a feel sitting in the car in front of the cockpit like in preLci with idrive7. It has better graphics but the tablet with that back part like a keyboard is not a good design solution. Btw how are the m sport seats, are they to stiff? Do you have Vin or the list of all options for the car?

    • 1. its not only a little more and 2. more important, the m340i is a much more comfortable and perfect for a daily car. The G80 M3 instead is absolutely track focused and a lot stiffer. M3 is awesome as always but you have to track race that thing otherwise you are just showing off…

  • BMW really needs to find a better way of integrating that digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen into the dash. As it is right now, it looks like it was just tacked on as an after thought. It doesn't signify "luxury build."
