When planning a vacation to Europe, some of the first destinations that come to mind will be the teeming cities of Paris, London or Rome. Each of these metropolises is incredible, but they are far from all that Europe has to offer. By exploring some of the smaller towns across the continent, it is possible to see a more authentic, traditional side to Europe. If you’re planning an upcoming getaway to the continent, here are just a few of the most beautiful small towns in Europe.
San Gimignano, Vernazza (or all Cinque Terre), Portofino, Taormina, Cefalu, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Sirmione, Bellagio, Menton, Telc, Corfu, Rodos, Victoria (Gozo), Mdina
I was in Sirmione last week. It is the most beautiful town in Europe. Next time I visit Italy I will for sure visit Sirmione. Verona was also beautiful.

I've travelled the world but now I stay in Europe, it has everything.
Lovely list, but I am sure that you could create a list of 500 smaller towns in Europe of more or less the same quality. There is so much history in Europe, in spite of the devastating wars. The major cities were prime targets for bombing, but the minor ones were often spared.
in czechia alone there is small towns with castle around 2000 of them :D i love europe and my slavic lands
@@holextv5595 Well, I did not want anyone to think that I exaggerated so I picked a rather low number. Here in Sweden, we don't have as many castles, more of accessible nature, but I would like to see more of the Czech republic!
@@christopherx7428 yes like it's beacause of Holy Roman empire which was like 2000 countries in one country so everyone had town and castle that's for example why German, have over 25000 of them 😅

I have to agree with you! I live in Hawaii and have been around other parts of the US, also been to Canada and some countries in South America. I have been to countries in East Asia as well Southeast Asia but I think Europe is the most beautiful continent naturally and architecturally -- I've always thought traditional architecture styles in Europe were the most beautiful. TBF, I've yet to travel to Africa, Oceania and other regions in Asia but from the videos I've seen of those places, I think in general, Europe is still the most beautiful continent, overall (to me).

Thanks for sharing the beauty of Český Krumlov. From our Czech republic I would also recommend - "Kutná Hora", "Litoměřice" (both not far away from Prague) or "Cheb" (close to Germany's border) or "Kroměříž".
I visited your country a few years ago and cannot wait to return. The only thing that was more beautiful than the towns were the people! Nejlepsi pro vas.

Fortunately I’ve already visited few of those beautiful small towns in Europe. My very best favorite is Positano and almost all over the Amalfi Coast. Definitely absolutely a must to see. Love the Limoncello with vanilla ice cream.

Thank you for the beautiful video. The only objection I could make to such collections of breathtaking images is the word "most" in the title. How can you possible choose the "most" beautiful little town in Europe? There are so many, and whichever towns you choose, others will be left out. I had rather named this video "25 beautiful small towns in Europe".
My favorite small towns from Europe is Trogir, Croatia 🇭🇷, Bled, Slovenia 🇸🇮 Rothenburg, Germany 🇩🇪 and Hallstatt, Austria 🇦🇹 Love from USA 🥰 🇺🇸

Balkan is amazing, Albania have tons of beautiful towns like Gjirokaster, Shkoder, Berat, also Montenegro have cities like Perast, Kotor or Ulqin

My favorite place in Europe is Positano,Italy.
I'm glad I was able to visit a few of these places. But really, there are many other beautiful and hidden places in Europe. This is how I manage to jump back in time with my beloved wife. Travel Around The World! Travel because travel is synonymous with happiness. Greetings to all travelers!
Thank you! Haha, it's such a smal list...and some are small towns but other are just closer to a village nowadays. Thanks to the tourist who visit them because they help to this towns, especially villages, to mantain alive that places (or at least many of them) and traditions. Maybe for see many of this places you will need a car. Europe is not USA or other sites to drive, but to see these places coul be a good Idea do a llitle road trip :)

Been To Bled, Perast and Mykonos... All three were amazing... Especially Bled! Mostar, Cesky Krumlov, Sighisoara and Positana make the Top-4 among these towns in terms of the curiosity I feel towards them...

I can request to You Sremski Karlovci in Serbia for this list, one of the gorgeoust town in Ex-Yugoslavia, town on the bank of Danube river was one of the most important towns in Habsburg monarchy and town has a lot of baroque churches, baroque palaces, schools and Chapel of Peace, where is the Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699. signed by the most important European coutries. Likewise i can request Bela Crkva or Weissenkirchen also in Serbia, the small town near the Danube river, which is built by Habsburgs and also has many baroque churches of many religions and many beautiful palaces. Likewise i can request to You Petrovaradin, but Petrovaradin is included into Novi Sad and that is not for this category, because Novi Sad is a huge city and this city also was part of Habsburg monarchy and European Capital of Culture and thats a story for itself, briefly gorgeous

Well, you can make 25 most beautiful small towns per each country, that would do the service to Europe. If not 25, I am sure you can find at least 15 per European country

Have only been to Mykonos on this list, but I'd offer some other small towns that I found enchanting: Marostica and Asolo in Italy; Oia and Thera on Santorini in Greece, and Kotor in Montenegro.
Have been in Marostica in 2019, it is one of my favourite places in the world And now live in Montenegro, Herceg Novi 😁

I would recommend Loket in Czechia. Absolutely wonderful Geius Loci and full of history. Far better, than Karlovy Vary nearby.
