Fun fact this is not the first time rocket jumping has been introduced in Minecraft… In the old Minecraft console edition (example Minecraft ps4/ Xbox editions) there is a mini game called Tumble which is 4J studios (developer of console editions) take on the popular spleef mini games found in most Minecraft servers on Java where you must lob snowballs at at one another or use shovels, splash potions of levitation and finally Fireworks which if aimed down at one’s self while jumping will allow you to rocket jump. Summary: console edition had fireworks you could rocket jump with in the spleeef mini game

@@RpgPenguins Actually, it sometimes works. Not sure whether the exact criteria are, probably either angle, speed, or a combination of both. However, the mace doesn't negate kinetic/fall damage with the elytra so you'd need a separate method of clutching or otherwise avoiding damage.
*New clutch unlocked: Mace Clutch!* Attack an enemy with a mace while falling down from a high hight!
Mace nurf idea: if you attack with the mace or fall while holding it, the attack cooldown will decrease very fast(which means that the base cooldown will be long) Hitting an entity with the mace will knockback them down, and the extra damage will scale with the attackers falling distance combined with the floor material If the target is standing in water/ powdered snow or on slime block etc; the extra damage will be absolutely nullified, and if the target is standing on stuff like hay bales/beds, the extra damage will decrease depending on the fall damage reduction The extra damage will apply at the point when the target touches the ground, and if the target is able to slow down enough before the fall there will be no extra damage. Side note: mace may be able to counter with slow fall potions, wind charges, etc.
Please add new enchantments for this weapon, found in trial chambers : - AOE damage - Bouncing into a second hit - etc. All new additions are amazing (especially for biomes diversity) but I feel like magic in Minecraft is a little left behind. Armadillo scute could also be used in potions for a "heavy potion" that immunes the player against knockback effect for a limited time.

We really need more new weapons and new other stuff in the game, next update or two should probably focus to adding stuff like cannons from the age of galleons and pirate ships, and even early ironclads, or longbows, or even revolutionary stuff like something that can actually pull minecarts and give you the ability to make a working train to use for mineshafts or to connect bases to one another from far distances if you prefer rail travel which tbh would be a nice thing to add to both give the idea of furnaces on rails a purpose to power the steam locomotive and to pay respects to how furnace minecarts were originally used by us players to automatically send minecarts with chests in them to the surface back then when wanting mining

I hope that they make sheilds not resist this airborne attack completely. Maybe an airal attack from the mace can break a sheild hold but doesn't damage the user or not as much but still gives the knock back effect, while the mace wielder doesn't take any fall damage. BUT if you enchant your sheild with a new enchantment, it can fully resist the airial mace attack and have the mace wielder DO take fall damage, but in return the sheild takes a lot of damage and can't be brought up again for 2-3 seconds longer than a normal sheild-breaking.

The Mace falling for more damage mechanic kinda works like The Market Gardener crits from rocket jumping in Team Fortress 2. Also the wind charge jumping is like rocket jumping in TF2.

I'm a little disappointed. When the minecraft developers said in a recent video that the "Heavy core" will be obtained in a more complicated way than now (at the time of that video there was only a "copper" spawner and a chest), so then I thought that they were saying about the new boss that will be in this dungeon . This is logical. After all, in the overwhelming number of games, movies, series, etc., in addition to mobs, secret rooms and loot, dungeons also have a boss. And this concept is extremely suitable for minecraft, because we have bosses in almost all large dungeons: Warden, Wither, Dragon, Elder Guardian. So a new boss would be a pretty interesting addition. By itself, the name "Heavy core" is not quite logical for this part of the hammer. After all, this part of the hammer has another name: "head of the hammer". And the word "core" is a broader name and it is suitable for naming the energy source of a certain mechanism. Such a mechanism could be the new boss of this dungeon, which would be, for example, a Golem with a core in the middle of it. Moreover, this boss could use this very hammer as a weapon to clearly show players what the Heavy Core can be used for in crafting and how to use this weapon in battle. And something tells me that adding a golem to this dungeon has been in mojang for the last 3 years. After all, golems were one of the characters on the ballot: copper and tuff golem. This dungeon itself is made of copper and tuff. Moreover, when showing the copper golem, they said that it would press copper buttons, levers, lamps, hatches and doors, and now we got all this in the new dungeon. But a tuff golem would be like a kind of statue holding objects. And in the new dungeon, we have chests that give out items after victory, and this mechanic could well be implemented through a tuff golem when he stood on the side like an altar and when given a key, he would give items and come to life. That is why I would like mojang to add a new golem boss to this dungeon and he would be made of copper and tuff at the same time as a reference to these two mobs that unfortunately lost in the last votes but would fit extremely well in this dungeon

Should make it that using a shield blocks the mace and instead rebounds the attacker. So if they jumped on you and you blocked then they would instead get upward momentum.
I'm excited for this update. The more things revealed have made it more fascinating. In earlier stages, I was worried that the Trial Chambers were going to feel like a mod. The Breeze's lack of drop was a big thing to me. In retrospect, in makes sense that Mojang didn't want to announce features that weren't ready yet. The breeze rods are a great tie in to older features, as are their recipes. I'm not a great combat person, but even I can tell that these new items are huge.

So far the mace seems very cool with what you can do with it However with the way it's crafted I feel it should have a more 3D look to like the trident does when held by a player/entity it seems like it would look more worth getting in my opinion if it's 3D and could always add more cool and fun details if it was 3D like spikes or bars on the handle That's just my thoughts though

People have said this many times before and I'll say it too - Minecraft doesn't feel vanilla anymore ... It's a cool addition nonetheless
They should add a new potion effect when holding the mace since it can't be enchanted. Effects like "Breeze Resistance" so that way you wouldn't take as much damage and kb whilst fighting the mighty BREEZE.😁👍😊
Imagine being able to throw the mace and with the Loyalty enchantment it would return to you, like the Trident. We could become Thor in Minecraft xD Another thing could be the mace attracting lightning during thunderstorms, making it empowered for a few seconds. Please make the mace a 3D weapon so that the heavy core looks like it's block form in the weapon too and the breeze rod handle design ,similar to the trident handle design.
Minecraft in 1.21 are you able to add a repeat feature to jukeboxes so you can have only for creative mode but so we can have music and we don’t have to keep on putting the skin if you want to make like shops in the game

Another thing to clutter up my toolbar, we need an inventory management update. For example weapons having their designated slot so they always go to it when you pick them up like in ARK or designating slots in the inventory for ores, blocks, junk so it's not all random when you are mining.

We need enchantents!! Like a powefull explosion that cause more damage in area, or that can hit the ground and make a rupture in front that dagame enemies, or that you need less blocks to make extra dagame, or that you can hit and bounce automaticaly if you have wind charges in your inventory!!!
Maybe a new armor enchantment specifically against the mace? Blunt force protection?
Maybe make it so it pushes blocks but make the block go back in the ground once it gets yeeted when you jump so it doesn't ruin your map

It, as demonstrated, can one-hit zombies, and by extend, unequipped players... Maybe it can damage iron armors in half? Diamond's in quarter? Or... can the Studios fine-tune the mace so that it, with Sharpness V or whatnot, while charging from max height, will be able to damage a netherite-armored player to half a heart, like charged creeper does to a netherite-armored player, or a vindicator does to an unequipped player? Edit: wait, it can one-shot warden?! forget the fine-tune, the mace is perfect as what it is 👌🏼

Okay, now add slingshot that can shoot materials for variable amounts of damage depending on object slung. It would give more use to flame charges, snowballs, and eggs for possible side effects. Then any other odd object or item could be used as ammo for varying amounta of damage. A game like this deserves less linear progression and quirky gadgets and tools doesn't it?
