  • What other teams besides the Lakers do the refs help?

    @HoopReports@HoopReportsАй бұрын
    • Lakers by far more than anyone else. They’ve shot 420 more FT’s than their opponents this year. The next closest is the bucks with 250. They’re also DEAD LAST in the nba in drives to the paint. They also have the lowest FT’s shot against them in the entire league. It’s beyond obvious at this point

Teamwise, there may be other teams that the refs help alot, but I'm surprised the GSW are not amongst the team that the league favors, judging by how they (Steph) are the one of the biggest market as of right now.

  • It’s about time someone with a significant following on KZhead pointed out the obvious corruption in the NBA. It’s absolutely ridiculous the lengths the league will go to attempt to rig outcomes. Everyone should be calling this out. Not just former athletes and those who actually respect the sanctity of competition. Even Lakers fans themselves. If my home team was winning games I knew for a fact they didn’t deserve to win I would feel cheated by the sport. The worst part of the above is that most professional sports have been trying to replicate the NBA’s corruption and inching toward a heavy hand on rigging outcomes. The NFL is well on their way to following their role models. Here are a few more ridiculous Lakers stats for you: 1, Since the All-Star game free throw rate has gone significantly for every team, but the Lakers have remained stable. 2. The Lakers have shot more free throws than their opponents in 19 out of the last 20 games. The only game they didn’t, their opponent had 4 more free throws. 3. Two games ago the Lakers played the Timberwolves who were healthy besides KAT. The Lakers were without Lebron for the entire game, and AD for 3 and a half quarters. Despite this they shot 31 free throws to Minnesota’s 11. I could go on. It’s crazy that a deep dive into the Lakers free throw discrepancy isn’t even needed because even the surface level stats are outrageous. Finally the league outright robbed the Pelicans of a top 8 pick and a chance at Wemblayana or Scoot last year. The league robbed the Pelicans of a top 10 pick this year. They will likely rob the Pelicans of a very early draft pick next year. Any GM who accepted a trade offer for a Lakers first round draft pick would have to be an imbecile. The league will do whatever it takes to make sure it is as worthless as they can make it. There is no chance that Utah cashes in on a top 10 selection from their trade last year. If the Lakers are that bad, then the officials will make sure they lose enough to get into the top 4 so they can keep the pick. Daryl Morey was supposed to be one of the smartest GM’s and he got outright robbed by the Lakers. In fact there is no question in my mind that the league was behind the scenes making sure no one but the Lakers would get the package of players Utah was offering. This outright NBA rigging of games should be being talked about every day by every one. The problem will only get worse and we can think the lying mainstream media for that.

  • Saw the bias immediately first month of the season with officiating as a warriors fan. Like the nba was trying to force them to have a bad record. I immediately stop paying for league pass. Nba don't want curry to get his 5th because that would be bad for the LeBron goat debate. So as much as I love the dubs, I can't watch them thanks to the rigging going on. Rasheed Wallace talked in depth about it on girls arena, and immediately my eyes were open. When you talk rigging, there Is no 100% foolproof way to have your team win, but you can heavily influence the odds, and in the world of money, influencing the odds can have crazy effects. Allowing one team to hack and slash while calling ticky tac fouls on the other end can have extreme effects not only on point differential but on morale. Basketball is a mental sport. There is billions of dollars from sponsors, going into the NBA machine. It's called sports entertainment for a reason. Also, rumors that LeBron was involved in the Miami PED scandal years back. Since it's considered entertainment Im sure they allow athletes to use these drugs, esp guys like LeBron. His managers in 2013 was involved in the ped scandal. The saddest part is, the NBA does think the fan base is stupid. Most people are comfortable with being comfortable. Or they say things like it's not that big of a deal, get over it. This is a multi billion dollar industry that influences not only the culture, but also political thought. Its more serious than just rigging a stupid game. It's the idea that there are powerplayers behind the scenes who influence thoughts and actions on multiple levels, silencing or making people to be conspiracy theorists. I wish basketball could just be basketball.

I watch every warriors game too and there's many times they should've called fouls against their opponents, and they don't. • Pacers fan here. That game was RIDICULOUS. There were two entirely different sets of rules for each end of the court. And you missed the most ridiculous part of it. That was the first time I'd ever seen refs reverse a call after players argued with them. Very shortly after giving Siakam a tech for arguing with them for 2 seconds, those refs turned around and let AD and Bron argue with them for a full minute AND!!! get this... THEY REVERSED THE CALL. No challenge needed. Bron and AD just threw a temper tantrum for long enough of a time that the refs reversed their call. I used to joke about players whining to refs and make fun of them because I had never seen it work. Well... Now I know better. Starting in the 3rdQ, when the Pacers usually go on a tear, the refs just locked down the entire game. So, in addition to the absurd fouls that were being called, it was slowing down the Pacers' fast offense, keeping the Lakers from being tired out, which is a huge part of the team's strategy. It was the same thing that happened at the IST, but, this time, the Pacers were playing twice as good as the Lakers instead of a little bit better.

If you watch closely in a lot of games they call fouls on one team or the other to keep a specific point differential. When the team officials are keeping ahead (but close) sucks, they need a lot more free throws to stay 5 points ahead for example. Every once in a while the crap team goes on a mini run, pulling "too far" ahead and then the other team gets a call.

GS has had around 45 of their 70 games be "clutch time," meaning within 5 points with 5 minutes left. Imagine if GS got a fair shake, let alone the benefit the Fakers get. They'd have won half of those games. That puts them at the TOP of the standings. Imagine again if LeFlop's team gets fair calls. They'd have lost far more and be at the BOTTOM. More rest for an injury prone "street clothes" super star. 3. More time to reevaluate online bets before "choosing" an outcome. (That's all I could think of when the 15 seconds became 23 minutes. Or when The Celts lose an impossible lead and lose to the Hawks.)

The team that was fouled at renews ball possession from the center court , with 7 seconds added to the attack clock. No free throw for anyone. Players with six fouls in total still get eliminated from the game

And yo, I ain't throwing shade at the Lakers or anything, but you gotta admit, something ain't adding up with the crazy number of free throws they're getting compared to their opponents. Check the stats, bro - they don't lie. And let's talk about these refs, man. Are they untouchable or what? If they're making bad calls, shouldn't there be some consequences? Like, can they get benched or straight-up booted from the league if they're caught messing with the game? And what about teams filing complaints? Shouldn't there be a clear protocol for that? We need transparency, dude. The NBA should be putting out public announcements or explanations when teams raise concerns or when there's some shady stuff going down. These refs are messing with the league's credibility, and it's turning the game into a joke. Shame, bro. We gotta call 'em out and demand better. Make the league great again. Peace out. 🏀✌
