@@glucky9970 Xbox has Game Pass, has more of a diverse line up, and superior backwards compatibility. PS5 is just lazy "movie games" that you can also buy on PS4 at full price. Sony is anti-consumer. PC games aren't even optimized properly half the time.

In January/February, many “leakers” said the Slim wouldn't have a disc drive, just an expansion cable connected to a device working as a disc drive. Recently, my friend bought a PS5 Slim with a disc drive so that was a morale booster. But, if the Pro doesn't have one, I won't buy PlayStation again😂. I'm planning to get it since I skipped PS5 and PS5 Slim, still playing on my Xbox One X, because I expected Sony to release a Pro. Plus I’m tired of waiting for a PS5, might as well get the most powerful one when it comes out. I didn't wait this long for the Pro to lack a disc drive😭😭, so I'll hope for the best.

I have a ps5 and honestly i feel like im still playing on a ps4 pro the only difference ive noticed is the loading times the ps5 should be able to run 4k 60fps+. Before the ps5 even came out, everyone and even the advertising of the ps5 were saying how powerful the ps5 will be, but i haven't seen it. Most games would run on 60fps but the graphics would be 1080p or 4k 30fps. I know its the devs so if the devs arent gonna use the whole ps5 power theres no point on getting and ps5 pro. I swear when the ps5 pro comes out and the devs makes a game and advertise the game and say something like thanks to the ps5 pro cpu or graphics power, we were able to pull 4k 60fps with vrr and ray tracing on the game and we werent able to get it on the regular ps5. I swear im gonna lose it.

its so true unfortunately. To be honest even if someone buys a pro they wont see any benefit whatsoever if they do not own a 120hz tv. I play cyberpunk on my oled c3 with ray tracing and i get 4k at 60 fps. So for me a pro wont be worth it. Its hust too many variables that come into play that most people ignore and they jump the wagon of better graphics more fps with no knowledge behind their decision just to boast i have latest tech at home. Thats why Sony and all corpos milk money from people like cows!

Buy a pc then because you already paid 500 dollars to play about 15 PS5-only games, and youre playing all of them at 30 fps with decent graphics or with 60 fps on bad graphics. Now you're going to pay another 600 for a minimum upgrade, and you'll still play GTA6 at 30 fps. For $1100 plus the money for PS PLUS you couldve had a way more powerful gaming PC

you can already play old games depending on what level of subscription you have to playstation plus. the highest subscription gives you access to classic games and the middle and top tier give you access to the games catalogue. as for cross play, why wouldn't it have cross play? that less a console decision and more a game publisher decision.

I still haven't upgraded from my PS4 pro, as there's no real reason for me to do so. Once GTA VI comes out, I might pick one up, but for now I'll keep spoiling myself with fixing and using older generation consoles, like my Xbox 360 thats already backward compatible with most of the XBox games I want to play, my WiiU for any Wii/WiiU titles I want to play, my 3ds, my switch, and of course my PC. Another thing, I really hope that render accurately reflects the PS5 Pro's design, as the "flat" design looks so much better in my opinion. I've never really been a huge fan of the bathroom trashcan design of the newer Xbox Series X/S or the PS5's popped collar look. Plus, the recent trend of digital only is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I enjoy things like Gamepass on Xbox, and Playstation Plus on Playstation where you can download/play a ton of games for a relatively small fee, but why not give us a console with an integrated disc drive, AND give us a large 1-5tb hard drive? I guess we can't have our cake and eat it too.

@@Stance1988 You simply can't "optimize" a CPU bottleneck out of a game without a complete re-design of the engine. And even with the best optimization in the world, a lot of game logic simply cannot be multi-threaded as it introduces too much latency in the core-to-core interconnect and operation priority. You should find out how a CPU works.

Remember when Half Life pushed the Xbox to its knees and Valve decided "Let's put in on the PlayStation 2 with less than half the raw power" and still made it work? The CPUs in modern consoles are powerful enough to do current generation games as is, they're not about to bottleneck current games.
I WIlL be buying it. More games at 60fps is a welcome feature to me. I have a 4k OLED display that I’m barely pushing with my current console XSX. Love my series X but there are some exclusives that I’ve been wanting to play for quite some time.

The PSSR will be a significant glimpse of the future of console gaming. Jumping to 4K native is a massive drain on the GPU but if using PSSR you would upscale to 4K and hit 60fps on most games, it would be so smooth you really wouldn’t know it’s not 4K native

Nah insiders say they are going the route like the PS5 slim. So the attachable disk version is aimed to be $599 and digital $499 and the standard PS5/slim is getting marked down also.

Might get one in late 2025 to early 2026. I see nothing that can really justify the upgrade game wise. Sure some games I have will be able to play at 60fps using the graphics mode, but I already finished them and in no way is a measly 20fps for no real graphical difference on my TV worth another $800, since I test each games performance and graphics mode before I choose which to use.

@@darrell5363 sorry I said that wrong, i have a 2TB SSD but the PS5 record limit at 4K 60 HDR in mp4 seems to be a hour maximum I know this because I uninstalled all other games except the one I was playing and the record time at 4K 60 HDR was still limited to a hour so I assumed Sony annoyingly built it like that. Sooo when I heard about the PS5 Pro I hoped for a longer record time limit at 4K 60 HDR … Are you saying it can do it and my PS5 is faulty? I even asked a mate his PS5 has a limit too…. If I record in 1080p then there’s no record time limit. Does that make more sense now?

@@randyrrs7028 I agree, 4k native is bonkers as proven by the 4090 drawing as much power as the whole ps5 does and even peaking at far more! As much as I love AMD and Sony, I truly hope Sony can deliver DLSS level of upscaling while retaining good graphics and smooth FPS. I believe a collab of Sony X Nvidia will truly push console gaming into a new dimension, but that’s a far fetched hope 🥲 Fingers crossed Sony pulls it off and delivers 4k@60 with PSSR as I am getting disgusted gaming at lower res for better fps. Games looks pixelated leaving me disappointed for getting a 4k screen.
