The feud between the governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor the current Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dominated the headlines for months. There seems to be no room for resolution of issues in the fight despite President Bola Tinubu's intervention and the call for a truce. Wike and Fubara are locked in a struggle for control of Rivers’ political structure. Dragged for too long, the fight has been dirty. These projects are quick kick-back schemes, whereby contracts are stupendously inflated, so that the governor and others can quickly get payoff. In the larger scheme of things, those construction projects do not buttress the economy or create sustainable economic opportunities. Tinubu is poised to pull off the same scam with N14.35 trillion Lagos-Calabar coastal highway. The final cost will be twice the initial projection. And Tinubu is desperately squeezing Nigerian, so he can qualify for the loan. Any leader who does not create employment opportunities that will generate FOREIGN EXCHANGE for their State is clueless. Everyone is using resource revenue of Rivers State without any attempt to generate their own wealth Looking at Nigeria from abroad, it looks like a big joke.
A sure channel through which money is laundered and fraud committed by politicians is civil construction projects. Yes, he did construct roads, and yes, he stole the state dry as well. Where did you think he got the billions he poured into his bid for the presidency? His tight grip on the PDP, do you think it is just by words? He is buying everyone who has got a price. The fierce loyalty he enjoys is being paid for. Where did he get the money from. Fubara can't even nail him because he, too, was part of the game as the man in charge of finance. The Lagos-calabar coastal road project is one project that then politicians are going to use to launder funds to finance the 2027 election. I am a finance expert skilled in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing. So, let's not delude ourselves with some of these projects they execute here and there. Call an audit, and you would be shocked at the scale of stealing expected under the guise of project execution.
Any politician any individual any minister any senators any Governor any judge any lawyer any INEC chai or officer who work against peter obi in 2023 election would no have peace in their life both their children and their family
