There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.
Premieres March 4 only on Netflix.

As an animator and writer myself, I have to say that this is brilliantly done! Can't wait to watch the entire series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did you watch the movies?
I wonder if this is on the purpose. I've notice the snow make the American pilots really dumb. For example, Zeus save the other pilot from a rear attack and the duo just watch as a monster sneak up and cling onto Zeus. They didn't warn him or try to save him. They just stood there like a dummy. And then when their kids got out of the vehicle, their warning system tell them of incoming monster and they just stood there like a dummy before the monster got really close . They realize they're in danger after their blond daughter tell them to watch out. This part grind my gear. The young girl who warned her parent of the danger earlier on just skipped all the instruction on how to pilot a mech. I don't know if I should watch this anime. Maybe I should to see how they get destroyed by their own stupidity.. Jk.. The relationship between the Bro and sis looks tense and stressful. The brother should be happy with her sister discovery. I wonder what what happen to their dummy parent? Again, the show purposely put it out there for those with common sense to see it.

Back when this was announced over 5yrs ago, it was confirmed to be a prequel back in the days when the earliest kaiju showed up and the Mark-1 Jaegers such as Tacit Ronin and Romeo Blue were built in response. Myself and many other fans I'm sure were excited at the idea of seeing the early gens in action and their evolution, all with that lumbering and clunky raw power the first movie portrayed Jaegers as. Many fans didn't appreciate the downgrade with how impossibly weightless, fluid, fast and humanlike the Jaegers moved in Uprising. Honestly a bit apprehensive here now seeing this series was instead changed to be a direct sequel to Uprising, I can only hope they will make the wise choice to go back closer to the original roots with the Jaeger motions and fights.
I agree. I also hope that if they go with that approach they also give us a little bit more background on marshal and when he was a pilot

Even within anime, 2D animation seems to be disappearing. I know it’s a lot more difficult and slow, but surely some animators are will to do it!

THAT'S the reason this show has an almost non-Anime feel to it, if some have ever gotten that feel. Of course It's Australia, it's also the Future.
Australia doesn't exist 💁♀️
That was San Francisco.
I don't know what you mean, this is just what I imagined Australia to be like!
I just finished watching it, and I have to say, as a huge fan of the 2013 film (Uprising was okay, but not what I was hoping for) Pacific Rim: The Black is SO worth watching. I hope this goes to DVD. I loved every minute of it!!! Pacific Rim RULES!!!!!!
I’m not surprised they are making more and more anime. Their library has increased in that category and this title should be good and I have high expectations. Netflix knows what their doing.
As long as they don't make any more horrible live action adaptations I'm fine.
@@cloud2019 or pedo shit like earlier
I feel I should ask this again: WHEN does this take place?
I've heard people say in between 1 and 2 but take it with a grain of salt
Some people say that this is an alternate timeline
@@shadows.82 Uprising doesn't exist to me lol
@Commander Cody same but again this is not my theory I was just saying what people were in the teaser trailer
@Commander Cody can i say that do not want to remember that garbage 🗑
Looks way better than Uprising, and also looks like it could be a different timeline? I mean at this point I just hope it's entertaining...
Funny how these Jeagers also move fast and can jump high, thats alright but in Uprising it's "bad" ? Makes no sense. Uprising is Underrated
@@Assassin199410 lol u think the problem with uprising was yeagers jumping high and moving fast?
@@Assassin199410 because it didn't work when you lose them photorealistic. The first film was.much better because they had weight behind their punches and movement and it made it a much more realistic film, which something this far fetched desperately needs. The anime will get away with it much better than a love action version. Uprising was desperately bad for many reasons, I could go on. But no. It wasn't underrated
If I'm honest, I think it's like a sequel, because you think that with those useless people from the second movie, as the only defenders of the earth, without the protagonists of the 1, they easily lost and killed them and everything went literally to the * *****
@@EnderShard It is Underrated.
Just got done watching it. It was freaking awesome.
Worth the watch. You even get to see humans act so typical in a situation as this. Season 1 was good. 😀👍
Part of me is excited to see an animated Pacific Rim series that will hopefully breathe new life into the franchise. The other part of me is worried this is going to be more cringey teenage-angst like Uprising.
Uprising was fine but this isn’t fine at all
@@fatwags3488 uprising was not fine
@@lonecalzone6901 It was you just have a shit opinion
Evangelion: Am I a Joke To You?
not every kaiju vs mecha anime is eva
Darling in the Franxx: Am I a Bigger Joke Now?
What does this have to do with Evangelion?
I've been watching this trailer over and over due to how excited I am to watch this This looks so freaking amazing and nothing is gonna change my mind
Good to see that Pacific Rim is alive
Let's just hope the OG theme comes back to kick ass !!!
Since it's a Pacific Rim spin-off, they should call it Specific Rim.
Nice
Is great to see that the animation in those 3d anime is improving
So when is s2 and am I the only one who crushes on Hayley
