I run the 1st Real Miniature V8 DOHC gasoline engine and try to hit the redline rpm of this mini V8 engine.
It actually sounds pretty sick.
I got the engine from: www.enginediy.com/
I will update in the comments if I'm able to get a promo or discount code.

Looking forward to seeing how you setup this engine!
Todd has time to publish his weekly video and make it over here to support a fellow creator. Keep it up!
I was about to say the same thing and I appreciate your last octane video now I can save a few bucks putting supreme in my small engine equipment.
V8 gokart please 😊
Hello Todd. 😁Me Too.
Like the way yiu do things , be good if you mentioned how much it cost as well ... Will be interesting see what you put the v8 into...
That amount of starter fluid for such a small engine made my head hurt.
Lol
Just gotta send it.
Yeah bad could of started a truck with that much😂😂😂
You’re definitely one of those people that spews out bullshit like “uSiNG StARtER FLUiD wILL RuiN aN eNgINe”.
Same 😂😂😂 I was curious how it would handle it considering I use about that much to get my old work van going 😂😂😂
100% gonna be keeping an eye out for more of this engine. i could never justify getting one for myself so seeing them is the next best thing
I’m in the same boat I really like This kind of stuff building them tweaking them. But holy smokes you can buy a real freaking crate engine for less money
Yeah they up around 6 or 7 thousand , not cheap
The chainsaw carb is a good idea size wise but functionally they don't work at all like an automotive carb with a float bowl, chainsaws and other two strokes are meant to run upside down so a float bowl wouldn't work so instead they have a diaphragm that pumps fuel using pulses from the crank case which is opposite of the vacuum pulses in the intake. And with the large constantly changing crankcase pressure in a small V8 there's likely very little pulse to tap into
I think your right
The small multiple cylinder engine tests are definitely one of my favorite genre of your videos! Please keep them coming! 👍🏻🇺🇲
It's funny because they're really interesting.
Honda's inline 250 4 cyl. Was a screamer in the early 80s too
Would be awesome to see this in a scooter
Its interesting. Its the same CC as my scooter 1-cyl engine. It sounds amazing, but I think that its prob not actually built strong enough to last.
V8 powered GOPED was gunner say until I seen your comment
And supercharged.
Or in my Lounge
Razor single seater
This would be great in a large RC car. If you have a big block show car, putting this in a 1/3 scale model would be awesome.
Would be very underwhelming in a 1/5 scale or 1/4 scale. I have a Taylor RC 80cc Supreme gas engine in 2 of my 1/5 scale RC's and they make something like 28-30hp in a 42lbs and 90lbs RC's. Will spin over 16,000 rpm's also.
Don't confuse an engine's HP with an engine's torque. I'd rather have stump pulling take-off and acceleration over top speed.
@@tjkj-om9oi I just guessed at the scale. Whatever scale these engines are, I guess.
Also with a big blower out the hood
@@tjkj-om9oiJESUS
Really cool man, looking forward to seeing ore of this, welcome back
It would be awesome to install one of those engines on a bicycle. I’ve seen the crazy e-bike and 2-stroke builds but a mini V8 build would be quite unique since I never saw anyone do that before.
This was my first thought.
I just got 4 stroke weed-wacker engine. That's good enough for me!
That was actually my first thought lmao
this engine is actually extremely efficient for what it is, scaled up to a 454 in displacement if it had the same efficiency it would make around 576 horsepower.
As always this is just super cool content! Thank you for all the effort you put into the channel!
Thanks and your welcome
Wow, really cool engine! Looking forward to what you have planned!
Bro's the defenition of bling life 😂
That coke dealer vibe
Lol... I like the vibe but I made more money using my skills tbh.
@@WarpedPerception i mean making a jet car for mr beasts latest video, i have no doubts for you talent ,is there going to be a video on it?
That's an awesome little engine! I'm sure you can make it far better. AND, that was a wild get up you had on LOL. Full gangsta.
Lol... Thanks
43 seconds in and I'm clicking sub. Ain't even heard it yet! Those engines are works of art before they even run! Greetings from Canada!
Glad to see you back. I probablly watched the seethru engine series at least 5 total times
😊... Thanks so much, I need all the help I can get I'm about to launch my channel into a different gear this season
i wanna put one on a mini bike holy hell, at 6 horsepower that's actually a usable engine! and if it does 6 horse at 78cc that's pretty dang good! Looks like it already got a head gasket leak lmfao
It probably doesn’t have much torque.
I doubt it's got 6hp... It would have to scream like a nitro rc car engine to get that. There is no way... If they rated it at 6 it's as honest as all the 1000mah batteries being sold as 9000mah.
@@volvo09Seriously. I dunno though, actual header exhaust, better ignition, better intake and carbs, and run nitro, I'll bet you could something like 6 horses
0.6hp maybe, if you're lucky. these things only seem to run right at idle.
We will see
Oh boy the possibilities! RC Car, RC Boat, Scooter, Bicycle, so many options. I think I actually want to buy one of these kits just for the fun of building it and then starting it up. For a mini, it sounds amazing!
Mounting it on a bicycle with a moped cvt would be insane lmao
@@TM450FI , hell yeah, v8 motorcycle.
IKR?? Im putting one intio a moped/small motorbike frame!
Good to see you back man.
Plastic screws in distributor . We used to paint the inside of the distributor with clear nail polish when they cracked or keep tracking spark lol . Old school trick . Need filter on fuel .... bigger intake trumpets lol
That thing sounds so good
Great job on the latest Mr.beast video! That was awesome 👏
Thanks! It was rough, I didn't have sleep for 3 weeks.
I binge watched a few of your videos right now. You definitely gained a sub. 😎 I work on fighter jets and their engines as well in real life as my occupation. Its amazing to see it in miniature form. Edit: fixed typos
I'm fascinated by this. Just awesome
How does it sound with some 40 series flowmasters?
That would make an awesome lawnmower or generator!
lets hook that up to a good car alternator and watch the dc energy pour out like rock n roll!
Adjust the idle for more rpm and use a better oil that's thinner and full synthetic.try using camping fluid for fuel, might be better for miniature ice builds,I knew someone that used it.
Awesome!!! That smaller V8 is awesome as well! Chainsaw carbs!! DOHC!!! Amazing! Probably needs 93 octane..maybe, yes? Wow!! Listen to that little beast roar!!! Only a V8 sounds like that!!!
I'd sort that dizzy cap before trying to run it too much. Depending on how much compression those little pistons have could easily do some damage if it's not firing on that one pot. The bowls may not be filling because it needs more pressure. I bought a really good 5psi fuel pump off of eBay for my moped to get rid of the vacuum fed one. If you ran a return line to bleed off 2 or 3 psi like I have the carbs get plenty of pressure and anything it doesn't need goes back to the tank.
Wow thats a really cool engine! Looking forward to seeing what you will do with it. I'm currently trying to design and cnc my own opposed piston engine from scratch, so these videos are really interesting!
Soooo friggin sweet, thanks for the content!
Nice to see you back to making new videos!
It's nice to see an engine large enough to do some real work. If I ever got rich enough to recreate a car, I'd do the cartoon version of Speed Racer's Mach 5, and want to power it with a BRM 1.5 Litre V16 because it sounds like the cartoon Mach 5. While the engine is physically much larger on the outside, the model engine parts may be the right size to help recreate the V16. I'd probably make it a hybrid because the BRM engine was totally unpredictable in making power.
That V16 sound was heavenly
The hard part is going to be coming up with a 453-speed manual gearbox. In EVERY SCENE EVER the M5 is going "arrrr-arrrr" and shifting gears. He probably got 3mpg cause he never cruised anywhere, just shifted gears.
Where do you buy these 😅😅😅😅
From sri lanka 🇱🇰 it's handmade my engine
Stirlingkit or enginediy
Hey idea for the cooling system for the cordless tesla full roof scoop seal the top off and put hole bye licenses plate to allow air flow to enter through the roof scoop and exit throught the bumper which will suck the heat out of the motor
love the new look. welcome back!
Lol thanks!
please put this on a bicycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're called motorcycles!
Beautiful...nice vid...can't wait to see what you cook up!
first time ive actually seen someone to get it to idle and not just die
The content I've been waiting for!
Thanks
When he says he thinks it will surprise us what he's going to do it. I think he means "FORCED INDUCTION" haha but for real, glad to see you with some new videos lined up and still wanna see that LED in action for these videos. More slow-mo!! Thank you and keep it up brother.
I love doing those slow motion videos, and you're right I can't believe you remember the light but it's sitting there collecting dust, I have to put it to work very soon. One of my biggest challenges has been trying to figure out how I can diversify things to make them fit on my channel. But I think I figured it out
@@WarpedPerception Always good to hear you working up new ideas! I remember the light because I think it's one of the most significant things you've done along with the clear turbine housing. 🤘🤠
Glad you are back!
Me too, I have a whole backlog of videos right now, I want to just make some cool stuff. I got stuck working on the Tesla all last year then the Mr Beast projects for like the last 8 months. Intense amount of work
Need this in my weedwacker. Would go awesome next to my 20hp v-twin push mower.
I'm very intrigued to see how this works out. I want to put one on my son's little electric toy four wheeler, it only has one small electric motor for one tire, not the whole axle. So it often gets stuck in grass. So ide love to see if this thing not only works properly after a little modification, but also would be able to be connected in some way so he could actually drive drive his four wheeler around the yard and never gt stuck, but not go too fast to where he can't control it
Another channel found that this engine need ignition timing adjusted. Oblong the mounting holes on distributor to make adjustable.
I can’t wait. This sounds exciting 😀
oh wow... that one actually sounds good
I love your videos, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching
You need carburetor spacer plates the carburetors are too close to the intake manifold
The best DIY engine🎉
Welcome back!
I use mixed fuel for priming , won't burn the balves
A fully operational ⅓ scale car would be interesting with that engine
Oh man!!! Big thing is coming!!!
the chain and the glasses made me laught 😀 nice one!
The amount of starter fluid he sprayed on the tiny engine is similar to dumping a gallon of gasoline on a normal sized engine😂
The next thing would be adapt it to a power generator or something to get use out of it.
Sweet brass chain boy !
Thank you for what you do. Testing the limits of things for those of us who don't have the time or money for that. You're very inspirational & helpful.
That sparking off the screw. Wouldn’t that effect how the engine runs? Especially full throttle?
Congratulations, it is a beauty
That engine is beautiful
Wooow.! Just awesome man.
If I had the money or the backing I most definitely star producing a 2.5 litre half scale V8. And I’d bet anything those things would fly off the shelf . Perfect for cross cart racing .
super cool!
That thing is pretty cool!
That's awesome ! 👍
Great to see you back Can’t wait to see the project ❤
Wow, now this is a cool engine!
would be interested in how much performance you could add with proper injections instead of carburetors.
Awesome Video !
Sounds so neat
you should make a scooter powered by this engine, like one of those electric ones. love it!
Cool love the detail
Can you use this on a go kart?
Totally incredible this is really incredible
That was fun and yeah the ignition was basically blah but I'm sure you will update it to mini coil on plugs
With the hat and hair you look lioe that 80s kid actor Jason Hervey! I know you know because were close to the same age! Love your efforts and videos as always Matt. Keep em coming please.
I actually don't know who that is, but I'm going to look it up right now in the 80s I was a toddler.
I just looked them up, yeah he looks familiar, he's a bit older than me even though it doesn't look like it, but I sort of kind of recognize him
are the camshafts in these also super whacky material wise? the ones in the chinese scale motors chew themselves up in literaly minutes of running sometimes
it sounds awesome
You gotta blow up one of these tiny V8 engines. Like redlining it until it throws a rod.
Agree
Wow that is incredible! Can't wait to see what you will do with this!
McDonalds drink
Lol.... Great idea, a McFlurry hahah
Bro nice to see you here ! Hope ur doing well.
@@WarpedPerception Couldnt be doing better! Hope same goes for you! =)
@@Deeveeaar yeah finally getting back to work after the pandemic, and went on here forever. then for almost an entire year I was developing and building the system for the Tesla.. it was an engineering nightmare.
Awesome, thank you
Giving that much ether to a new born engine, is like handing a new born baby a Pack of Marlboro Reds
I'll always be amazed when small engines have multiple horsepower. Imagine telling someone 200 years ago, "See that metal box thing? It does the work of 20 horses"
Cool like it so much
Bro sounds good!
that idle is 🥶
I know ... I'm fixing it
An inspiration for a lot of engineers. New and old.
Man I love the engine,
That was awesome
Very cool!
Cool !!
Awesome!
Small V8 engine, would look great on a Motorized Bike. Currently running a 4 CID 2 stroke.
Wow 😮😮😮these miniatures are amazing
Great work. That being said loose the gold chain.
Thanks... Why ?
I cannot wait to see what you have in mind. Love the channel glad you're back!
Thanks!
Is it cross plane or flat plane crank
Weird question. Is it possible to purchase a miniature car that is 100% built like a real car to learn to work on cars? I'm not talking parts, I'm talking like a kit or something fully assembled.
