Today, I'm so happy to have a truly remarkable and inspiring guest Anita Moorjan. She is an international speaker in the New York Times best selling author of several impactful books, including dying to be me. What if this is heaven? insensitive is the new strong. Anita’s incredible journey began when she was diagnosed with cancer, and fought a courageous four-year battle before slipping into a coma. Doctors had just given her days to live, but what happened next can only be described as miraculous.
During her near-death experience, Anita was enveloped by a sense of unconditional love. And after 30 hours, she regained consciousness with a profound understanding of why she had developed cancer. To everyone's astonishment, she experienced a spontaneous healing, which she attributes to the deep insights and the transformation she underwent during her near-death experience.
Now since then, Anita has made it her life's mission to share her story and the lessons she learned on the other side. As a result, she has touched countless lives all over the world, through her books, speeches, and videos advocating for love, self-acceptance, and empowerment.
In this episode, I had the pleasure of delving deeper into Anita’s remarkable journey and exploring the wisdom she gained from her experience, which offers inspiration and valuable guidance for all of us.
Tune in to Episode 8 of The Jack Canfield Podcast to begin learning about the profound healing power of our consciousness, discover what’s possible when we stop striving and start simply being, and begin answering the questions: What wisdom have I learned in this life? And how have I expanded my capacity to love?
In this episode, you will learn about:
A Story To Die For: Hear the story of Anita's profound near-death experience (2:07)
Honoring Your Knowing: Rebelling against cultural expectations and finding the courage to choose you (10:30)

  • I feel very drawn to share a short paragraph that reflects the truth in this video! And with the after life. Something profound happened to me in 2019 ❤ I lost my mom to cancer in 2018, within a few months I also lost my baby in a very horrific way. Few months after both of those losses, I couldn’t handle the pain and agony anymore. The pain you experience so much so you want to take your own life is pain that I can’t even describe. Anyways, there is a beautiful forest near where I live and one afternoon. I decided I want to see my mom and my baby and I didn’t wanna live anymore. Without the gory details, I made my way to the forest to my favourite tree that I always sit beside. I sat in my car after getting all my things together, but would end my life, I sat in my car for a few more moments and took a few breaths, and suddenly right before I turned my car off a song started playing, it’s a song called Above You by Sophie Morgan. Please listen to these lyrics. It is unbelievable. The crazy part of this is this song I’ve never heard even to this day on the radio once again. It came on through a heavy rock station lol there’s no way they would have played this on a heavy rock station lol. Basically, the song stated I know the winter has been hard you will be OK without me. There are angels above you Saint Christopher will take care of you. My husband’s name is Christopher😮 all the deaths that I endured happened in the winter. I immediately stopped in my tracks and listened to the words and cried so hard I felt like my mom was telling me she was above me to hang on and everything would be OK. Obviously I’m still here today and I do think every day I am still living because of that because of the oddness that that happened. I believe my mom is here with me all the time. From that day forward, I had a massive spiritual awakening and it has been gnarly lol but so powerful over the last couple of years. My mom comes to visit me. I would say 2 or 3 times month in my dreams. I know it’s her because the dreams are almost like lucid dreams in a sense the vividness, the realness the rawness it’s unbelievable, very comforted, knowing that she is with me all the time. I love her and miss her.. I said I would share because it’s just so beautiful❤

  • I have heard Anita‘s story so many times I don’t have enough fingers to count, but every time I hear it, I hear something new, or have another revelation. Anita has saved my life. I had become very addicted to pain pills after multiple surgeries, & was really hurting myself. After hearing Anita’s story, something clicked inside of me & a memory returned to me of a near death experience I had when I was a child. It all came back very clearly & it was at that moment, I knew I was meant for bigger things. The first step was getting sober & I can gratefully say that I have been sober for over seven years now & life exponentially gets better every day. I am beyond blessed & eternally grateful to Anita for sharing her story & her light with the world. 💕✨⭐️ Thank you!!

Thank you for this podcast and sharing parts of your own story. I too went through with a wedding I knew was wrong and stayed for 22 years until I was listening to her book. It changed my trajectory. ❤😊

    • I too saw Anita some years back with Dr. Wayne Dyer. From job, to community, to church, to family......I think she helped us see that 100% Responsibility for taking choices. It is not easy to say I was wrong, and change to another choice, being honest and being responsible to the other people for their harm in the new choice. I have found over fifty years in marriage mandatory mediations to ask people to admit the reality, and generally it allows one person or both to accept the end of a marriage that is smothering one or both, and harming the children, it has been a great welcome part of my work that we took classes such as Dr. Dyer, to help our clients have a welcomed list of healers and expanded family counselors. God bless. Peace.

    • Thank you for sharing. It is so hard for people to realize many others feel the same way.....I had level four, stage four cancer, and yet prayed, was told by my doctors they had no other strategies, go see my lawyers.....I did. I started with the Credit Union Finance manager, he suggested he would put all my bills paid, and the balances on my truck loan, and I could turn in the truck, they would sell it and it would be OK. I put all my assets into good things for charities. I went to church and prayed at a new hands on healing mass. God home, had a message from my doctor that the hopeless cancer team was accepting me.....they saved my life. The radiation at holes in my intestines and no one knew what to do, but a friend dropped by and she had been referred to a doctor that helped heal people after extreme radiation. He helped me heal and 23 years later, here I am! I felt the cancer was from the horror of my job for kids in foster care and juvenile programs. I am healed, and now work in public agencies to make sure the taxpayer funds are going to positive and healing programs. I only realized recently that I had given away all my assets, I had not missed them until I decided to go back to my work in world peace, real world peace ,.....and am now working on new income resources. I have laughed about doing what the lawyers said, and settling all my assets into executed trusts, I suppose I could have sued and gotten part back, but I am grateful that due to the reality, many thousands have had great benefits and grown to be better Native American people. God bless.

  • Permit me to share my thoughts: 1. When chatting with others whether in person or over the phone, etc, it is not uncommon to adsorb negativities being emitted. That is why one especially an empath felt drained and tired after that incident. One needs to do a quick "cleansing" meditation to remove that "heaviness." In the case of a relationship, practice CAT which is an acronym for, "Compromise, Adjust, Tolerate." May I recommend especially to those who are passionate about the subject of spirituality to read the book, "IN SEARCH OF THE INFINITE" by ATHAN EAST.

    • Anita Moorjani is a wonderful woman. ❤ But for everyone watching, do note that the host, Jack Canfield, is not a good husband or father. Not a good person even. What he said at 14:45 was not the full story. “Canfield married Judith Ohlbaum in 1971 and they had two sons together, Oran and Kyle, before divorcing in 1976. Canfield left the family and moved in with a MASSEUSE in 1976, WHILE HIS WIFE WAS PREGNANT with their second son. In 1978, he married Georgia Lee Noble, with whom he had one son, Christopher. They divorced in 1999. He married Inga Marie Mahoney in 2001, and is stepfather to her children, Travis and Riley.” His first son, Oran, who grew up troubled because of his dysfunctional parents, said, "there was a great contradiction between how he told other people to live their lives and how he interacted with his family. [He was] lying, cheating, conniving, manipulative." Jack left his family while his wife was pregnant with their second son - when she needed support the most - and moved in with a MASSEUSE. (Presumably because he was thinking with his dick) He is a quack who talks about love but doesn’t know a thing about it. There are many quacks like that in the world.

  • I love Anita Moorajani. What I don’t get, however, is all NDErs say we are supposed to learn how to love one another but that is like a teacher saying you have a test but I am not telling you the content. No assignment. Good luck. Then we come to this world and if we don’t have loving parents who model loving behavior, we are behind from the beginning. Something about it all just doesn’t sit well with me. I was a teacher and I was very clear about the learning criteria. I came from a pretty good home, not great, but pretty good. What about those who are abused and don’t know how to love? Something just doesn’t seem right.

    @jodylineman@jodylineman6 ай бұрын
    • Jody I myself am not comfortable with the fact that no one has exchanged with you about your unease. I don't pretend to have the answers, maybe nobody does. Anita would listen to you and somehow help just by doing that alone. So may a stranger offer something? I would offer that, religion or belief system aside, that if you believe in God, you might also ask..."What if I WAS given the assignment? What if the material and or the strengh to rise to the hardships that being human poses, WAS given to me? But good easy times or easily remembering the material isn't what brings it out of me? Socrates would annoy, you're a teacher/scholar, remember, by proding people to realize they are better equiped than they consciously realize. I think discovering for ourselves what the material is, is what makes our experience of learning it authentic. Maybe life IS a school but it's NOT a test. It's not pass/fail it's maybe just learn to grow evolve and love. Listen to her voice and lovely speaking manner. You don't need a stranger to tell you. Listen to you. You are a real teacher because you DON'T claim to know it all. More power TO you. All best to you always. Peace.

    • According to Dolores Cannon, before coming into this incarnation we exactly know what lessons we have to learn, but when born we forget that - otherwise it wouldn’t be a test.

      @i-bux@i-bux5 ай бұрын
    • I had 2 NDE's with similarities to Anita's. We already KNOW that we are all Love, we have just forgotten so it feels like we're learning. In my NDE's, I was shown that I agreed to this life, I agreed to face some of the worst of human evil. The challenge was to remember who we all are in the face of it, then do my best to live from that knowing. In the NDE, I was asked, without words, if I could receive everything in the same way that I was being received and held in the NDE. I was enveloped in pure unconditional love with no judgements. It was total acceptance and compassion but it wasn't external, it was the "I AM" ness connected to "Source" and "Source" is not separate. It was easy in the NDE because that is the natural state of BEING but I didn't know if I could remember that clearly once back in the body. The human experience is so challenging because we go through so much conditioning that we forget who we are, we forget to just BE. It's not so much a school for us to learn, because BEING never forgets what it is made of nor forgets "Source", they are not separate. It's all about Love, even the most evil behaviour. When I say "I" agreed to this life and to facing great evil, I don't mean the "person" with a body, an ego, a set of beliefs, conditioning, the human, agreed, it was pure "I AM", pure Awareness/Consciousness that agreed. After my NDE's, it seemed to me that the challenge for all of us is to remember who we really are while simultaneously being human. Doing our inner work to heal our childhood wounds, learning to have compassion for ourselves and moving away from right and wrong, good and bad, black and white thinking, away from judgements, opinions, assumptions, beliefs and conclusions allows the space for this remembering to be revealed. It's an ongoing challenge and process.

    • To me I think it’s a question of free will; we have to choose to take on the assignment in the first place. Listening to the yearning inside is often filled with pain, learning to deal with it instead of trying to ignore it is the way we take on the assignment. A lot of people don’t choose a spiritual path but still find answers or have their view changed based on what they see around them. It’s like how kids make the decision to parent differently. Everyone is trying to answer the love question in their own way, but actively taking on all the sides of love even the ugly ones is a choice that requires the free will.

  • Love Anita’s story and I always learn something new when I hear her talk about it. She never really delves into how to open yourself up to the full warehouse. We only have a flashlight, but how do we direct ourselves to the possibilities our flashlights don’t shine on. A lot of us have dreams that seem unattainable. For me, I’ve felt not in the right place (geographically) all my life. I’ve fought this and hated my life for a long time (there are a plethora of reasons I haven’t moved) and the last ten years i have reluctantly given capitulated and just accepted where I am. Still do not like it but it’s better than constantly hating where I am, I just trained myself to ignore that part of my life and when I think about it I redirect my thoughts). None of these spiritual / life coaches can ever give proper direction to manifest or help resolve a lifelong problem. Not everyone has NDE’s to guide or enlighten. Would be nice to get some help to direct the flashlight and know how to manifest. Just telling someone “to believer or visualize” doesn’t work for the majority of people. That just ends in utter frustration and more feelings of failure.

  • About signs; I'm a big fan of Billy Idol but I didn't discover him until 10 years ago or so. After a year or so listening to him and liking the energy he has in his songs, my guides and the spirit world started to use him as a message/sign. I would randomly hear Billy Idol, see his pictures (even in places where they shouldn't have been, like, googling images of kitten and look at that, there's a photo of Billy Idol!), have a dream of him, have his song play in my head after a question or a worry, see a word "idol" written somewhere with gigantic letters etc. While my guides still use Idol as a sign, they've recently decided to enrich my experiences by switching THE MESSAGE symbol to a rainbow lol. So, this message of "the symbol/message can be ANYTHING" is extremely true and valid. You assign meanings to what you see. The guides will love to use symbols which you love, which make you happy, which are exciting to you and vibrate with the same level with your own soul's song. It can be anything - even a cookie!

    • Unfortunately Religion is a box that doesn’t want you to leave. God/Spirit/ Universe is so much more than any religion and is Devine Love. You are part of this love. Love yourself for you are loving God then, and love the others for they are too. When Jesus said “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” The problem has been people don’t love themselves so neighbors are out of luck.

He married Inga Marie Mahoney in 2001, and is stepfather to her children, Travis and Riley.” His son, Oran, who grew up troubled because of his dysfunctional parents, said, "there was a great contradiction between how he told other people to live their lives and how he interacted with his family. [He was] lying, cheating, conniving, manipulative." Jack is a quack who talks about love but doesn’t know a thing about it. • God is a person and an energy field. The field is His aura. I think of the universal field like His garden, but there is a house called heaven and people living in the house. Many people who have had NDEs who only enter the field try to define God based on their own powerful experience, not realizing there is more to God than what they saw. God is a person with feelings, and He is also in every atom of the universe.

    • For everyone watching, do note that the host, Jack Canfield, is not a good person. The more I research him, the more questionable he becomes. What he said at 14:45 was not the full story. “Canfield married Judith Ohlbaum in 1971 and they had two sons together, Oran and Kyle, before divorcing in 1976. He own son described him as "lying, cheating, conniving, manipulative.", and I believe his son. This host, Jack Canfield, is a quack who talks about love but doesn’t know a thing about it. He left his family while his wife was pregnant with their second son - when she needed support the most - and moved in with a MASSEUSE. Presumably because he was thinking with his dick. This interviewee, however, is a wonderful woman. ❤

  • 14:45 Yikes, I feel bad for his (the host’s) first wife who was betrayed because he didn’t know himself better. He probably turned her life upside down... All because HE didn’t do the work of getting to know himself and wasn’t living true to himself. According to Wikipedia: “Canfield married Judith Ohlbaum in 1971 and they had two sons together, Oran and Kyle, before divorcing in 1976. Canfield left the family and moved in with a MASSEUSE in 1976, WHILE HIS WIFE WAS PREGNANT with their second son. In 1978, he married Georgia Lee Noble, with whom he had one son, Christopher. They divorced in 1999. He married Inga Marie Mahoney in 2001, and is stepfather to her children, Travis and Riley.” I can’t help but feel bad for his first wife. Because he wasn’t being honest with himself, he wasn’t honest with her. And she ended up being collateral damage. He left her when she was pregnant, during a time when she most needed support. I can’t imagine the hell she must’ve gone through. This is the sort of man I will never ever waste my time and youth on. I can’t believe I used to read Chicken Soup for the Soul when I was a child. If this man could do that to his first wife - leaving her for a masseuse when she was pregnant with their second son - he didn’t know a thing about love.

    • @@janelleespinosa6247 I did it for his son, and for all the mistreated children in the world who never had their voices heard or stories believed; who watched their abusers act like a completely different person in public, rising to fame and fortune, without ever acknowledging the hurt they caused. Jack is a public figure and an influencer, yet he lives a double life. That's why I speak up. Do you understand now? Yes, we all make mistakes -- no one is perfect -- but some people take accountability while others don't. That makes all the difference. I like to be a voice for innocent victims of childhood abuse, and that includes Jack's son.
