  • It occurs to me that mermaids are an underused subject for anime. I'm aware of one mid AF series about them a few years ago, but beyond that there's been nothing, which is a bit disappointing, considering all the cool stuff you could do with an underwater society of people that can move and rotate on all three axes at once.

    • Anime is just in general frustratingly unvaried. I appreciate it's because slice of life is both the most relatable and easiest to draw but still. All of space and time, every shape and color imaginable, and they choose a village outside of Tokyo 9 times out of 10. It's why this channel caught my eye
