Hey, so, now that I’m not a kpop fan anymore, I totally understand the comments that he was being a little stereotypical and biased here. Although I was just extremely happy that he mentioned India at that time, I completely overlooked the fact that he was talking about the Native Americans here, and I didn’t realise he was talking about THEIR names in a very stereotypical way. This video is a screen recording of his VLive, which I uploaded because I had a conversation with some Indian Armys (as in, the people from the country India ) in the KZhead comments at that time, who told me to “send them the video”, so I uploaded it here, and it gained a lot of views which I didn’t expect because I’m not a youtuber. However, it is up to you, however you interpret this. Have a good day though! Just wanted to clarify that I’m not the one who’s being racist lol, I didn’t know and excitedly screenrecorded the moment he mentioned India.

To anyone confused, Jin had to say answers that made no sense to the questions asked. When he was asked ‘what is Jin’s nickname’, he said “태형이는 바보다” that is “taehyungie neun pabo da” which means taehyung is a fool, to which Yoongi said that the answer kinda makes sense. When asked how, he said that it sounds like an Indian name and hence that would be an apt answer to the question asked.

This was actually a mistranslation. The translator was supposed to put “native Americans” instead they put “Indians” namjoon gibberish thing purposely sounded like how common korean sounds but everyone accused him for mocking Indians

Some people thought it was legit and they were offending desi armys but they wouldn’t do that. I read a whole thing online that posted what all they’ve done over the years, and their growth, they used to be racist and mock cultures but that was before they got themselves educated on it. Most Korean idols don’t even apologize for past mistakes.
