I think it depends on the person. A person who plays a lot of fast paced game or plays sports will have very good eye coordination already. Where as players with weaker eyes this kind of target shifting can be very difficult to learn In game. For me personally I have some minor eye issues and I need to work them out more than the normal person does. This is a very helpful video I can use to strengthen my eyes.

Things I’ve noticed from doing this: 1. If a dot moves smoothly, in one direction, I’ll often keep my eyes straight and instead move my head to track it to reduce strain 2. Flicks are the only time I don’t move my head 3. I suck at the second to last one
@Bait17 Жыл бұрын

Interesting exercise. I noticed a few things while watching this video. First, staying directly on target was much harder than expected. I kept trying to anticipate where the target would move and would be ahead of it most of the time. If it moved sporadically I had to take a second to readjust because it didn't move how I predicted. Not really sure if tracking that way has more pros or cons. Second, low fps really sucks. I'm glad we have technology for 240+ fps these days. Going back to something like this where everything is blurry as it moves quickly is pretty straining on the eyes after adjusting to the smoothness of high fps.
@DehFrog Жыл бұрын

For me my main issue is just situational awareness. Tracking your opponent is one thing, but you really gotta have second hand nature of where you are, any obstructions or potential hazards, and what's priority.
@Adizzyizzy Жыл бұрын
Tunnel vision is what kills you, if you focus to much on one target another can come behind you and whoop you, you got to balance situation awareness and focus, it's easier indoors and if you have headphones as you can hear enemies and focus on shooting but if you are for example playing tarkov and running in forest it's a good idea to look at everything simultaneously as you never know when a random guy pops out from

I think most players know I'm stating the obvious and I don't play many fps's so take what I say salty: Figuring out the answer to every situation is something that even top players probably aren't 100% good at. During the death cooldown, try to learn what you did wrong from every situation and figure out how you should have solved it with what you know at that time. With more common situations, you'll start recalling the answers to the problems you see quickly enough to be able to deal with them. Figuring out how to solve all of the problems with take a lot of time and failure but you'll get there if you have time.

Dunno if it's because I have been playing PFS for a long time now but most of those were fairly easy for me. I hope that's a good thing, I did however notice that even though I was tracking them I tended to slightly de-focus my eyes. Probably because in real life we don’t focus on one thing for that long. Even when playing shooters u rely a lot more on ur peripheral vision to detect other players and only really look at someone whom u are actively fight or at ur health and stuff. But the process of actually identifying and object or enemy is usually peripheral and only after do u focus on that. So ur eyes r blurring to see more and also probably because they r getting tired. I like to think of myself as an above average FPS player but holy hell I actually found some of these more difficult than I thought. I have pretty damn good eye-sight too. I noticed that I track ahead wayyyy too much, and that actually focusing on the object (rather than where I think it’s going to go) kinda hurt my eyes, lol. But I do kinda feel sensitive to differences in FPS (i can totally tell a night and day difference between 120+ compared to 60). I actually think this might help with my tracking though - so I’m gonna stick with it and report back in a couple of weeks lol. Flicking between targets was super easy though. I'm training to play as a competitive sniper in Fortnite, here is some stuff i learned, i hope it's helpful. When i started practicing, I always thought that the hardest part was the shot, it turns out... It is not. In real life sure it is but, here with a few fast calculations and muscle memory you can land one almost instantly, the tricky bit is the spotting. Don't worry for your accuracy, you are developing it constantly with each player you eliminate. Sometimes you have to look for targets in a zone crowded with buildings, trees and junk that blocks your vision, that's where you need to defocus your eyes, to get your peripherial vision to work and look for the slightest movements, colors or shapes that don't belong to the landscape. This also works when YOU are spotted, if you don't realize someone might have seen you, and you do nothing about it, it's going to cost you the match. My advice is to first learn to be aware of your sorroundings, then, you can practice locking on to something. This way you are going to be able to survive more and, by consequence, you are going to spend more time in the field gaining experience. Look for videos that have several things moving at the same time, try to average their positions and then flick between them as fast as you can. It was very helpful to me, you should try it too!

@@notreal6762 most fps games dont require you to move your head too often. i only move it when target moves in a straight line (vertical/horizontal) across the screen. it also depends on your irl fov to the screen. for example, (not realistic) if you have your nose pressed against a tv, you cant see the entire tv.

“And that’s it! Feel-“ *great ending man*
Feel the eyes burning with desire to tap heads tap circles or something.
Most peoples brains are hardwired to subconsciously predict somethings next move, or identify any patterns in movement. It’s a survival reflex programmed in, and yeah man it’s way hard to try and stop it.
Didn’t realize this wasn’t high fps. I need a better computer
Do you really need 240 fps lmao damn
This make me even more curious. I've never seen 120 fps with my own eyes yet, or anything over 60 fps for that matter, so I literally have no clue and can't imagine how much smoother than 60 fps motion pictures can get, even though people say it's a very noticeable difference.

general rhythm games don't make you flick though ? i play a lot of clone hero and i use my peripheral vision like 95% of the time
I get this restless feeling whenever I do activities like this man
I don’t know how or why I’m here, but this video seems pretty good at training your eyes!
For me my main issue is just situational awareness. Tracking your opponent is one thing, but you really gotta have second hand nature of where you are, any obstructions or potential hazards, and what's priority.
Tunnel vision is what kills you, if you focus to much on one target another can come behind you and whoop you, you got to balance situation awareness and focus, it's easier indoors and if you have headphones as you can hear enemies and focus on shooting but if you are for example playing tarkov and running in forest it's a good idea to look at everything simultaneously as you never know when a random guy pops out from
I can have the muscle memory to know all the skills of over 70 different characters and know all the maps like the back of my hand but I swear that none of it helps when my hand can’t keep up with what my brain is telling it to do
I have ADHD and Im hyper aware of everything all the time, also with trauma you get to focus to much on possible hazards, sonit might not be that bad to be unaware jaja
Figuring out how to solve all of the problems with take a lot of time and failure but you'll get there if you have time.
in this regard i excel. Its the ability to track properly that fucking kills me.
Dunno if it's because I have been playing PFS for a long time now but most of those were fairly easy for me. I hope that's a good thing, I did however notice that even though I was tracking them I tended to slightly de-focus my eyes. My theory for this is maybe I have accidently made a good habit of being aware of my surroundings in game while still focusing on the target at hand. Then again I am really inpatient sometimes lol. Preesh yall.
Yeah same
Yeah same it's not a good idea for me to lock on one target in the games i play, for me it's better to have bad aim but stay alive to help the team then good aim die and leave the point one man down
same
Same i only need to know a target is there then i just go look for another target while firing at the last target then flick to the latest and so on...
Because of this i don't even need to see the target just their names then just aim down and i would hit them

I'm not even a bad at shooter games. For measurement, I platinumed PS4 Horizon Zero Dawn in Ultra Hard without reticle under 200 hours. Not an exceptional feat but still pretty good. Anyone know what this might mean?
It should be a fully conscious exercise. This is not an automatic exercise. But you're likely a patient of ADHD and react only to engaging stimuli
@@Ambipie Makes sense. lose focus for even a split second and the dot is somewhere totally different.
Using electronics in general makes u blink less and trying to track the ball just makes that worse
This was a great exercise. My cat joined in. 😅
before i play valorant i always come here to see this thing,it actually helps
Monkeys: it’s not fair Elephants: I know Birds: he has auto-aim Tigers: talk about unfair
All true
First I did it with my cursor because I find it more practical, second Nice video ngl I found the flow and was able to do it very roboticly, steady movement
I always start feeling sleepy and have trouble focusing my vision like less than two minutes into the video lol. it's like im getting hypnotized or something
Hmm maybe you need nap?
sure feels like it after the warm up lmao
Same feeling here
Me at three am trying to watch this without sleeping
i dont even play FPS games, but i found myself actually watching this and using it as intended for like half the video. nice.
Nice
damn, I can shoot moving targets irl without problems but these exercises literally made me cry
As someone with ADHD, this is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and I lasted like 4 seconds
i dont even play 1st person shooters but this was interesting to watch! thank you
gonna be using this for TF2. thanks man
Not to be too harsh, but I'd appreciate it if you could make a smooth 60fps version of this exercise :)
imagine actually watching dots moving for 8 minutes every time before playing a game
lmao exactly
Bro, I have to wrangle with my ADHD to not try anticipate the movements and speed up or rush. I loved the free reign ones though. Cause it wasn't following a line it was focusing properly. (And a little bit of pattern predicting but albeit, really good.) Will need to watch more of this.
really did make me realize things about mouse aim that I never realized before.
as an demomain(TF2), this was actually very hard for me to keep my eye on the target, because like, i always try to predict where the target will be, and wait for when the target changes it's strafing from left to right or right to left it was way harder to focus only in the ball instead of the lines
this is awesome, the white screen hurts my eyes tho D:
this video made my eye floaters go wild
This video taught me why I'll never be good at FPS games. My eyes snap to where I expect the dot to end up, instead of tracking it. I kept trying to follow it, but I just couldn't do it. This explains why I have so much trouble with smooth mouse movements.
PTSD got me waiting for the screamer to come up
when i play kovaaks I try to link my eye movement to my hands so whatever my eye is doing, my hand is trying to replicate and follow that movement. It helps!
Makes sense bro
@@HazCzard yea and I realize that may be common knowledge / sense for most people.. but for whatever reason after 500 hours of kovaaks, I never really felt that connection until I started training A LOT of tracking scenarios.
@@teddywilliams2512 100% you need that mind body connection. Skills translate to irl. I be tracking small bugs as they hit my windshield also good reflex.
This helped me prepare for my next *first person* shooting! Thank you so much!
ur so edgy

idk what this is supposed to be but i was very entertained so thats nice
This was oddly relaxing
This video got recommended to me just after I lost to COD.
😭
But i’ve always felt like I was pretty good at that to be honest.
Thanks this helped me a lot I was shot bye a syringe and took my out for examination and I was in coma for 10 weeks
this helped me realize my biggest issue in fps games, i tend to rely on crosshair placement more than aiming so i usually just "look" toward the target when i see movement and click assuming it will connect due to good crosshair placement, instead i need to be actually seeing and aiming, which i currently struggle with.
I feel sick brain exhausted great work out for the eyes for sure for people unsure if it works You have to focus and really want to learn tracking you’ll see when you are tracking the balls they jitter while moving its your brain catching up the flicks are simple if you see the balls your flicking them have good posture sit centre of screen.
The fact I did this with ease and can't hit a ball for the life of me Also I found that I didn't have to even think about following the object, my eyes sort of locked on and did it automatically. That's pretty cool
this made me realize just how much instead of actually tracking something I often try to predict where its going kinda crazy
Thank you I unlocked my sharingan with ease!
after the video: Can I bliink now?
Protip: watch on 2x speed for superpowers
fr
holy shit it works, thnx. Been depressed lately cause i fell from immo 3 to immo1 in a day idk how i lose my aim but shit this warm up brought it back fr. Quality kinda shit but still it works
Not surprised that even stoned I can track rather well. Most likely because when I stream games I'll go as long as 7 hours 😭 a day...so with that while playing apex, overwatch 2 or even COD, these seemed beneficial. I didn't even know there was a warm up for such thanks
Another thing you can do, is by following the ball with your mouse and eyes at the same time
heres a tip for those who wanna be good at being able to track targets that stop and move, just pause it in the middle of the balls moving from time to time and try to lock onto it and not keep moving your eyes when it stops abruptly
this taught me how much blinking can mess up your eyes tracking something
This is helping my with my ADHD problem in the fps games
Who care tho
@@chaoticgood1977 uhm, if you don't find it helpful i guess you can ignore it-

i had to go to vision therapy as a kid and they did all sorts of exercises like this but some were very hard and hurt my eyes, but because of that training i was able to follow this video really easily
what kind of exercises did they make you do? my eyes r super bad and i’m trying to find ways to recover :(
@@beginnerboss1777 all sorts of them! I was pretty young back then so its hard for me to remember but I do remember somethings like they would cover one eye sometimes and do exercises turned into games, they basically train both of your eyes. They also did eye movements a lot (i hated those the most they strained my eyes lol) and stuff to chech your depth preception. A lot of the time it was focusing on something kind of like the video shows but they were put out as a game for children to follow not sure what else they did because I was so young back then but I know it helped me in the long run. Though one thing you can do to strengthen your eyes is read
I'm an asmr watcher, following things with my eyes and keeping things in my field of vision is easy peasy🔥🔥
