After owning both, I sold the 40i and got the 50i m sport, plus stage one tune, so she now has over 550hp :) amazing suv

@@efthimios yes the m50 is better, the 50i m sport was amazing aswell, one of my top 5 fav suvs.
Pretty sure in the long run the 40i will be the better buy just based on how reliable the b58 engine is

Brother, please compare xdrive50i and m50i.. I am confused..😌
BMW discontinued the xDrive50i so if you want the V8 in a newer model, your only choice is the M50i. Now for the years that both trim levels existed, the M50i is just the xDrive50i combined with the M Sport package. That’s about it.
You could get the HK in the 40i too
