  • I just realized how genius this scene was. The lyrics told the story of everyone on screen. Damon to Elena: “Give me love, like her.” Klaus to Caroline: “Pain splattered Tear drops on my shirt,” to the “I just wanna hold ya.” Stefan to Elena: “It’s been a while, but I still feel the same..” Caroline to Matt: “Maybe I should let you go.” BRUUUUUH

    • i think it was back by then, it wasnt really clear when it came back. like when he tried to kill elena, he told her that he blames klaus for his actions which means he resents him, and u have to care to actually hate someone. stefan knew he couldnt come back after doing all the things he did when his humanity was off so he just kept acting cold.

I love you and I am not gonna give up on YOU! I know exactly why you refuse to feel, cuz if you do, you will have to let all the guilt hit you. You will punish yourself for hurting me, more than I ever could...and it will hurt you. Let it in cuz anything is better than pretending that you don't feel! Stefan refuses and leaves, only for them to resolve it in later episodes. They are toxic but they work on it. He is actually SORRY for what he does to upset elena..unlike damon who kills a bunch of whitmores and doesn't care, threatens her brother, but nada...where is the push and pull? Where is the guilt?
