Sculpting Black Widow Spider (Latrodectus hesperus) using Polymer Clay_LifeofClay
The Western Black Widow Spider (Latrodectus hesperus) is a venomous spider species found in western regions of north America. Known for its hourglass shape red mark on her lower abdomen, that in rare occasions this mark can be yellow or white.
In building their webs, Latrodectus strands are no apparent organization and messy compare to other spiders.
Female Black Widow have potent venom containing neurotoxin active against a range of mammals. In human, symptoms to this venom include pain, nausea, goose bumps and localized sweating.
fatalities are very small in number or none at all, 2,200 people report being bitten by this spider but most do not need medical treatment, some bites have no venom injected - a dry bite as they called.
and you know guys, after courtship, female black widows devour and eat her male partner to add nourishment for her developing eggs inside her. But sometimes male is lucky to escape after mating and can live for another day.
What a lovely mammal isn’t it? A suitable subject to join our collections.

Whoow !!!!! Is so louk like a real😮😮😮😮
thank you so much, buddy😊
It's so inspiring to watch you work. My mouth fell open at 'making the eyes' haha, wow... And the technique of baking it in sand, clever! I never thought to do that. Will save from the little flat spots. That's a great idea! Watching you make those legs, ohh my.. I use to do similar, love working in miniature but I find it's best to 'keep' such pieces. They need to be glued inside a little glass case or something to protect them. I find people love to handle them
I am greatly honoured with these plenty compliments and kind words my friend. Im glad that you enjoy and find my techniques useful, my goal is fulfilled in this very moment. I truly love sharing ideas, methods etc... and that is my goal. Keep in touch dwar friend, promise to show you more inspiring videos full of surprises in the coming days. Thank you also for the support, truly appreciated it.❤❤❤
