  • New Zealand is missing from this list. We are providing cash to the UK explicitly for brand new weapons and have been for a couple of weeks. Also we sent a C-130 to provide logistic support in and out of Poland. We just don't hold large quantities of weapons, and no soviet calibers.

Europe is so passive they have a huge amount of equipment they could give even if its high tech... ever since 1980 the US has depleted a lot of there stock while Europe barely does a miliutary exercise and downsized by an incredable amount after 1990, The amount of equipment in Storage in western Europe would be equal to russia easily or more. • @@wangyi8031 "West Germany once had 2500 tanks in 1987 what happened to all of them ? now they have less than 300 in service" Those were either sold to other nations or scrapped, according to Germanys promises to reduce their numbers due to international demilitarization agreements after the fall of the Iron Curtain and the reunification of the country. Todays extremely low numbers are further affected by political decissions, a mixture of dominant pacifism, money saving measures, an ongoing geostrategical experiment to strongly tie Russia with Germany through economical reliabilities, that was aimed to make future wars impossible and slowly influence Russia in a positive way, and a general feeling of safety in peace times, with no enemy to worry about in close proximity after the end of the Soviet Union. This slow decline turned out to be a big mistake today, which was based on heavy miscalculations on the German side.

And almost any non-obsolete artillery piece is much, much, much better than none. That's what Ukraine really needs: artillery, tanks, IFVs - in that order. P.S. Accuracy with artillery fire is much more important than caliber. That applied since beginning of WWII, when American and British artillery was much more potent than Soviet artillery despite higher calibers and more shells fired.

    • @@kris8263 That is not the point. The point is that Poland fought alone. The western allies sat their armies on the French border and did little until the Germans were ready to attack them too. That gave Germany an option to build more strength and eliminate one enemy before moving on to the next. That turned a regional war into a world war. In the case of Ukraine we have a chance to confront our 21st century Hitler as soon as he starts. If he loses in Ukraine he won’t be able to continue one to all the other countries he is targeting and a world wide war is averted.

Germany will replace the Slovenian tanks being sent to Ukraine with German weapons. Germany is going to provide training and ammunition for the PzH2000. Additionally the German government provided a list with circa 210 different products to Ukraine, which Ukraine can purchase from the German defense industry and the German government pays for it. The list includes a dozen 120mm mortars, armored vehicles, small arms, UAVs, anti-tank weapons, radars, nightvision goggles, anti-drone systems etc. For example Ukraine bought 5.100 RGW90 HH MATADOR anti-tank weapons from a German company.

    • Possibly all options are considered. Though Poland is more than happy to receive better weapons in exhange, they were already agreeing on having their MIG-29s sent to Ukraine if they received other fighters in return. Considering how many refugees have fled to Poland, its very much in Poland's best interest to help Ukraine end this war in every possible way except for direct conflict between Russia and Poland and thus the entire NATO. Overall I think at this point nations really have to send all the possible help they can to Ukraine, except for direct military intervention, because what Putin is gonna do about it, except trying to hit those areas with missiles where the weapons/equipment are being send, once they are on Ukraine's soil. He isnt going to war with NATO over these weapon/equipment deliveries and I doubt even if Poland would give their MIGs, as long as they are not operating from Poland. The problem for Ukraine ofc is to keep those fighters safe from missile strikes once they are on the ground, as Russia ofc has hit and likely will keep hitting any potential airfields/landing sites for the fighters, but then again Russia doesnt have endless amount of missiles either.

  • Guys, if you are making a video dedicated to this topic, at least invest 10 minutes into proper research on Google, it's all there. The Netherlands did NOT promise to give any of their PzH2000 to the Ukraine (in fact, they would not even have as many as they promised, even if they gave all they have. Instead the German manufacturer Rheinmetal has 100 of them in stock and according to rumors The Netherlands would buy these and send them to Ukraine whereas Germany would offer training for crews on the system. The same goes for Germany... Really? You list the Strelas and PbV? Guys... The Strelas were more of a "Well, they are here, so if you want them, help youself" since the Germans do not even have a system capable of shooting them, so it was literally just a bunch of missiles. The PbVs were neither owned, nor provided by Germany. They had been acquired as BMPs from the DRP and in big parts sold off to (I think) Sweden that upgraded them to their own likings (->PbV) and that later sold them to a Czech company where they resided in stock since then. Whenever Germany exports weapons, they include a statement in the contracts that whenever the weapons are sold to a third party, Germany has to give his allowance. So Germany literally only allowed it, not more not less. However, Germany sent big amounts of Panzerfaust 3 and RGW90 anti-tank weapons, Stinger manpads, MG3 machine guns and loads of infantry protective gear. The latest approved package was basically around 1bn € as a money pot for which Ukraine can order weapons from the global weapons industry and Germany will pay the bill, as well as a circle trade where Germany will deliver Marder and Fuchs tanks to Slovenia and Slovenia will - in exchange - provide T72 tanks to the Ukraine. If these two countries have already been filled with so much wrong information, I wonder how much of this entire video was actually correct =D

    • Czechia has send some Strelas to Ukraine already, not sure if those are same ones you're talking about. I too doubt how much of the video is correct, since Czechia has just 2 items! We sent tons of things! More than 20 different kinds! Probably way more, because our country fairly kept things low-key to insure safe delivery.

      @maearcher4721@maearcher47212 жыл бұрын
    • @@aristosaristou9773 I'm really not sure what your posting has to do with mine, but I still want to reply: You can be sure different country leaders have different agendas and different reasons for providing equipment or not. Having that said, Russian expansion under Putin will only stop if enough counter-force is provided, else he will just go on, as can easily be seen when looking at any other earlier military conflicts. So there are 3 options: 1. NATO goes to war with Russia to throw them out of Ukrainian territory. In this case, the use of nuclear force by Russia is a realistic threat. 2. NATO member states will not actively participate, but will provide everything needed by the Ukrainian military to fight for themselves. Most likely this will then result in kind of a Finish solution where Ukraine "wins", but still suffers quite significant loses of territory, however the probability of the use of nuclear weapons is highly reduced. 3. NATO leaves Ukraine without any support. After a war of attrition over multiple months, Russia will occupy the entire East and South, including the entire coastline and gas reserves, I'd assume around 60% of the Ukrainian landmass. After that, they will go for a ceasefire to let the situation cool down and wait for NATO to react. If the reaction is limited to media statements only, they will wait another few months, before initiating some random scenarios in Kiev and Moldavia and go on according to the blueprint. They will rinse and repeat until they have all none-member states under their control, and then, well, we have a lot less partners then, and they have a lot more, and if they work together with China, we are doomed. This is based on my assumptions and thoughts only, but for me personally not supporting Ukraine is the worst of all options, even if there is the risk that you described.

The Czech have sent "many" of their own 160 or so DANA 152mm SP systems -- but how many is a secret (those systems are probably already operating in Ukraine and they had some to begin with, so easy to use and support). The Dutch have sent "many" of their PzH2000s. But I have not found an exact number. About 18 or 20 would be reasonable based on what I have seen. Italy is pledging PzH2000s, but still to be announced. And it does appear that the USA is preparing for a Paladin delivery commitment (they are based on the M113 chasis and as such will have an easier logistics tail situation since they are already getting 200 of them from the last round of US aid). Of course, the PzH2000 is faaar more advanced than the DANA system, sporting (among other things), an incredible rate of burst fire due to an advanced German tube, and higher accuracy.

Not only is it extremely effective, it has boosted the morale of Ukrainian troops and civilians. Watching Ukrainian protesters stand defiant in front of Russian soldiers and playing the Bayraktar song made me emotional. This is a people that Putin cannot break. Their bravery is unquestionable.

    • Germany took them out of service in 2014. Current estimate is that at least 25% of the missiles stored are now unusable. One report said that many storage boxes had become extremely mouldy. posing a risk to people entering storage areas.
