  • I always keep a bottle of carbonated water with me in case I hook a fish the way you hooked the first one. It instantly clots the blood coming the fishes wounds and stops the bleeding. I’ve saved a few Muskies from bleeding out that way. I didn’t believe it until I actually tried it, and it works better than I ever thought it would.

  • Good to see you get on the board with a donkey my friend. And we appreciate your style of fishing, it's what most of us can relate to. I also have mad respect for people that are able to figure out all of the electronics, but it sometimes seems so unrealistic at the same time. Definitely a different skill set and one I can't afford to figure out😂 wondering if it's been a tough spring for you in relation to the past. Seems like it has been so for many people and being on fish brain, I don't see near the amount of nice bass posted as I have in the past so I know it's not just me

    • Well said regarding the electronics. It was a very tough spring for me for crappie, but a great spring for bass! It seemed the crappie started off well and then just like disappeared before the real spawn happened?! so i just bass fished and really put some time into that!

  • That was a hammer good grief. One of my biggest bass ever came on a 6” bullshad may 17th 2020. She destroyed it too I thought it was a hybrid. 24.5” and 8.3#. She was spawned out too. I agree with you man, I’ll take catching a few monsters beating the banks over watching em eat it on livescope any day.

    • That is awesome man, i cant bring myself to throw those 9" swimbaits but the 6-7" are just perfect IMO! Congrats on that 8.3, bet she was near 10 before the eggs dropped!

    • @@TyPigPatrol I’m sure she was. She looked like hell from the spawn too. Paying for those monster swimbaits is another whole different issue 🥴

  • I appreciate your concern for the fish. I wish more fisherman were like you my man. I was wondering if we put barbless hooks on our swim baits. How many would we loose due to barbless hooks.. Especially the larger baits. What do you say we all try it for a day. The fish will thank you. Just a thought God bless you and yours
