  • I'm a girl who has always loved big machinery. Got that from my dad. He bought a Catepillar bulldozer when I was a kid. I remember him showing me an article about Big Muskee. That was a honking big earth mover.

  • I didn't think the loader at 1:37 looked like all that much... until I saw the fork lift drive past it looking like a little toy! And then I noticed that it says 70 cu. yd. on the side of the bucket! I'm just dreaming of all the yard work I could do in just one day with that thing!

    • garrisonaw It's hard to get a perspective of the size of it at the start of the video but later on you can see the scale vof it next to people, trucks etc. Thanks for watching

    • Thats no normal giant wheel loader. its one of a kind with that bucket capacity and lift height. I know at the time i filmed it that was the biggest and only one of its kind in the world. Its sort of a working prototype.

    • No kidding. I got to see the world's largest dump truck, up in Canada ?? Years later, I seen a video of people climbing all over it ,. OH my gosh that was in 1996 , so, I garuntee there are larger ones now?? I seen a video of the D 11 , cat , Bulldozer , it would take, 5 or 6, regular size chevey pick-up truck, stacked on top of each other to reach the hight of this giant bulldozer. The world's largest, front end loader,. You could fit 3 Yugo cars in the bucket ,. On the Titan dump trucks, does anyone know how they grease the grease fittings,.? A large box in the back of the , below the dump box. The radiator, holds , antifreeze, ?? About 30 to 50 gallons

    • Good luck syphoning fuel out of old pickups to feed it. You're going to need about 5,000L of colored fuel per day. A Cat 966 size would be perfect, and you would go faster, and burn about 250-300L in a long day.

  • I currently operate Cat 793 C, D, and F models, as well as Komatsu' 830E models in both AC and DC versions (The DC's suck ass!) would love the chance to try out the 797F Cat truck!

    • They are all used in the mining industry apart from the Liebherr P995 which is designed for dredging applications.

  • OP, if you took these videos, could you get some footage of a differential of a 797B or similar? .... Always wanted to see the diff, transmission and drivetrain of the mammoths.

    • There's some footage way on back in my videos of me wandering around the back of a 797 and equivalent Komatsu and Liebherr trucks. I'm going to the same place in a week that I took these videos at and should have some great footage at the beginning of October.

  • The big wheel loader at 4:35 needs a heavier counter weight. Had nothing in the bucket and it looked like the rear wheels were about to come off the ground the way it was teetering just from picking the bucket up.
