It's almost like he has to keep reminding people what he's capable of. I know Glover was basically done, but we hadn't seen Glover get beat up like that since Jones and Gustafson. Walker and Santos are two of the heaviest hitters in the division, and he beat them both up. His feel for MMA striking is elite, his cardio is great, and his IQ has only gotten better. He also knows how to finish guys. That's a super underrated skill that is becoming less common. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people.... again lol

  • Herb Dean is to blame. He called the "time out" because Hill threw a low kick. Alex waved the "time out" off and Herb should've stepped in between both fighters and stopped the action. A fighter cannot control a "time out" called by the ref. Herb was supposed to check on Alex and either give Jamahal a warning or deduct a point. This threw Jamahal off and he wasn't expecting Alex to counter so swiftly. It's like the police stepping in between two people fighting as one fighter backs off in submission to the authority but the other fighter doesn't and continues to fight aggressively.

    • He wasn't expecting Alex to counter so swiftly... lol. So that is Herb Dean's fault that Hill threw a punch that got countered? Hill did not back off in submission, he was in his stance, threw a punch, and got countered. Truth hurts.

    • @@gregorybautista3 You miss the point. When a referee stops the action during a fight it takes both fighters off of the "mind chess" in finding range and looking for openings to throw shots. Jamahal was still thinking about the low kick he threw and reacting to Herb Dean calling a "time out." Jamahal reacted in defense by throwing a jab to distract Alex. Herb Dean instantly called "time in" once Alex "brushed off" the "time out" he saw that Jamahal was in a vulnerable stance so he countered Hill's weak jab to distract. That split second cost Jamahal because Alex never back off from the low kick but Jamahal did back off to see how Herb Dean would respond. Jamahal thought the jab would make Alex think twice before attacking but Alex didn't hesitate. I'd like to see the rematch because it's not fair to either fighter when the ref hesitates to intervene like that. It really made Jamahal lose focus and I'm sure he realizes exactly what happened. I wasn't favoring either fighter here because I like them both. I do realize that Herb Dean broke the rhythm of the fight and Jamahal drew the short end of the stick. Is what it is. That's not an excuse, it's actually what happened if you watch it again.

    • @@pilot8220 "Dumaz" isn't a word a guy should use when he has missed the point. If Hill beats Alex it's not going to be because of any strategy he learned from Israel. Between MMA and kickboxing Israel lost to Alex three times. (That's a free knowledge drop for you. Cause I'm feeling generous.)
