Best & Fast Prototype ($2 for 10 PCBs): www.jlcpcb.com
Thanks to JLCPCB for supporting this video.
Hi guys. This is a special video. JLCPCB is a professional PCB manufacturer and I've used their services for some time and now they sponsored this video. Even if they waren't my sponsors I could say that JLCPCB quality is really great and very cheap (20cnts/board).
Free shipping is NOT always available!!!!
If you do make electronics projects, you should definitelly make your own professional PCB and if youn use STENCIL, check the video.

Hi there guys. This is how I make my professional PCB and make my projects look a lot better. Want to help my workshop: www.patreon.com/ELECTRONOOBS Thank you so much!
Electronoobs Can you give me this drone ckt pcb .... Please
how to purchase the components.....
You did not explain what all of the settings for stencil are when ordering
What temperature do you use for the heating gun and what air speed if you it is 1 to 5????
A few minutes ago I learned how to make professional pcbs from great Scott. Now you teach me how to solder the smd parts quickly by ordering the stencil from jlcpcb. You people's are simply superb 😘😘😘😘😘😘 Love u bro...😍
Thank you very much!
Both videos are very helpful to me to become professional circuit designer. I am an electrical and electronics engineering student. During 1st year it self I help my seniors for project works by designing the PCB layout of there project circuits and making PCB boards and soldering those and making some pocket money's 😋😊. Also I make project's for other people's who contact me by utilising the videos from KZhead especially yours....
5:55 that annotation is misleading. The fumes of solder do NOT contain lead (or tin). The fumes are the burning flux. Fumes of leaded solder are NOT more dangerous than the fumes of lead free solder, in fact, most of the time the fumes of lead-free solder are more dangerous. That is because tin(most lead free solders are 95% or more tin) is chemically more active than a tin-lead compound and the flux that has to be used has to react stronger.
I got a batch of boards from JLC about two weeks ago. Three days from ordering to arrival here in Australia so it was pretty impressive.
i love this competition between Electronoobs and GreatScott both are great and every one show his best , this is good for US
great video thank for the tips ill get the stencil ordered which I was worried id order it wrong but seeing this made it easier to understand, even for an electronic nerd like myself
Ten minutes ago I saw great Scott's new pcb video Then yours I think this is a nice day Great videos!!!
To hold the board in place under the stencil, I've just started doing the following: I trace the PCB outline in roughly the center of one of the the "wood" boards that it shipped with. Then I use a Dremel rotating tool with a small end mill bit, sitting in a router base (I made mine, but you can also buy them) to route out the outline of the PCB. The mill bit protrudes into the wood the same depth as the PCB. I use a chisel to square up the routed corners if needed. Then slip the PCB into the routed outline and set the stencil on top, line them up, and use clips around the edges to hold them in place. I'm thinking about ways to index the stencil against the wood so that alignment is easier. A couple holes drilled through the stencil into the wood would work as long as it remains well aligned during drilling, and the pins or bolts filled the holes completely. Or I could use a smaller pin so that there is room to do fine adjustment, using clips to hold it in place. Next time I order I will ask if they can put holes in the stencils that line up with holes in the rails added to the PCB panel. That would be ideal.
The stencil will be in the shape of the SMD. I don't kwno how could you ask them for extra holes. Keep up!
Another awesome video 👌👌 ... Everytime electronoobs and great Scott publish their videos at the same time.☺️
I have learnt a lot. Your all video's are super and very helpful to learn to beginner's. Thanks a lot sir............
Simple and straight forward video. Thanks.
Nice demonstration and thanks to guidance.
Make your life easier and get some 1 inch blue foam (it is denser than the pink foam) from lowes, add a couple holes on the board, I have 1/8" steel pins that I sharpened so I add a couple holes that size in my board, then on the cream layer add a circle over the new holes so that they exactly cover the hole, this will make it so that the new holes are cut on the stencil. When it's time to apply paste put the board on the foam and the stencil on top and insert the sharpened pins into the foam for alignment. If you are doing several boards leave the pins in place and slide the board off of them. Make sure the holes are on the edge so you dont have to spread the paste around them.
Just a thought: The current version of your PCB has components on both sides. These are expensive to manufacturer. You should try to create a PCB with all SMD on the same side so they don't need a second stencil and a second pass trough the Pick and place machine or oven. With PCBs this size you should have no problem. Keep the capacitor close to the component leads they are connected to. The C6 and C7 are likely useless at the moment as the (return) path it too long. The crystal is very far from the micro-controller. Avoid vias in the clock line if possible. These tips will help your circuit to function better and reduce trashed PCBs. Keep in mind the PCBs you have here are leaded. You are not allowed to sell leaded electronics. Lead free (RoHS) adds cost and complexity to the campaign. Please be mindful of them when doing a kickstarter.
Excellent points, thank you.
Thanks for mentioning the shipping price, other motherfuckers youtubers don't do it...
You are amazing bro. Keep it. Thanks for sharing useful information. 👋👌
Very nice project friend we are waiting for your project
Awesome bro
Awesome! Helped me alot!
Nice project
You have no idea how much you have helped our capstone team!!! What type of heat gun would you recommend?
Nice work
I am here once watched Great Scott! video.
Blink! Me too man
JLPCB makes great boards and solder masks. I have ordered 4 runs of each, and they were flawless. They are quick and efficient. I get the boards far faster than the local OSH park. They are better cheaper, and faster, give them a try and see what I am talking about. There is a shipping cost but, for a 4 layer with shipping price, and a small 10 run batch they are still cheaper than OSH park.
Very usefull, thank you very much.
Very useful method
Nice video
Very helpful tutorial, I just wonder what is thickness of the stencil? Could you tell me?
How do you specify the cutouts? Do they route the board outline for you? Is it on NCroute layer? Do they allow panelization?
Please make a video about different types of smd packages. It is very confusing to understand which one is good for hand soldering.
i like to hand solder 01005, probably the smallest Ill go
Just curious: What are the package form sizes, you use in this video (C4 to C10 for example)?
@@wowfail6835 Lol, that's basically the smallest commonly available package for two leaded smd chip components.
Awesome video ! Is it possible to do it for through hole pcb ?
Very nice
Great video! When are you making a video on the drone flight controller?
Check how the weight of everything inflated at JLC. The stencil was 200gr in 2018, now the same is 800gr. And they probably didn't forget to add some packaging in the 2018/200gr !!! Do order simul with a SMT job and be prepared for a 805 resistor = 1gr !
When electronoobs will become elctropro🙂🙂🙂
Thank u for uploading this video☺ #padmalayarawalrobotics
Could you please share the board design of that miniature quadcopter that showed in this video?
Interesting to watch thank you. How do you mirror the SMD components to be placed on the bottom layer in easyeda? I have tried the PCB layout programme also , but could not find the solution, and the answer from Easyeda was that they don't support mirroring components from top to bottom layer??? Kind regards and thank you.
If you flip the component it is automatically mirrored
nice
Your accent is kinda cool and so are your videos. Are you electronics engineer or just hobby guy?
thanks
Is this the best way to do it? Its much harder to mess up a connection? Or am I wrong?
Hi, good video! How much temperature do you run your soldering station? Can you solder with any issues also atmega328p? Thanks!
400degrees. And yes, Overheating the chip might damage it. Don't reflow for long periods of time. Keep up!
In an older video you used a wall plug type transformer on which you could set the voltage 12,5 etc. How is it called? I tried looking for it on eBay but I couldn't find one.

Kit starter project ... How much days left on it
Schematic in eagle is already bro? Please show on 😃
it would be great if you add bigger dc motors and give the option to buy only se code and the circuit diagram in the kickstarter..!!
what is your software for make your board ?
Fantastic work, dude! 😊 But that's why I want to stay as far as possible from smd components. 😐
Can share about the flight controller
Hello. You can get gerber files. project link?
Maybe someone know, where i can buy stencils for selective soldering machines?
How can we make over own resbeery pai board pliz show that ho to make it
4:46 Thats what she said!
Hi there ! How to purchase SMD Comonents
Please make a drone based on Arduino Mega + GY-87 + Ublox 6-series. Also, I would like to see DIY RC improvements, with a screen for reverse basic telemetry. After all, nRF24L01 allows two-way communication, for example: the battery charge of the drone, the number of satellites, distance, altitude, flight mode, etc. Ready-made solutions are not as interesting as DIY. Besides, the ready-made solution is still expensive. Pixhawk or APM software took a long time ago from Arduino's ideology. But MultiWii has remained true to this idiology. It is simple to understand and modify the code for beginners to learn Arduino, but has all the necessary functionality. In addition, ready-made solutions have too much redundancy, weight and modularity of the design. I would like to have a cheap and simple solution that you can touch with your own hands, and having the functionality close to the low-cost Chinese drones. Thanks. I always watch your videos with great interest.
Please provide link to ur Kickstarter
Hey fella still GREAT SCOTT IS BEST
Hey bro can you share me the same PCB components and design plus coding of this drone and tx with tempet for smd with me ? It will be a great favour to me...
Can you show us how can we make stencils for our own PCBs
Just order them from the factory with your boards, it's like $7
Do you assist with ordering the right PCB?
What do you mean by that?
@ to pick the right components for what we need to complete the product
Waiting on ur reply to build message Gerber file
Hey please share a drone circuit geber file for jlcpcb I want to order it but I am not able to please send me a receiver and transmitter board circuit please
🍒🏁
Why does the stencil sheet is so big? Why can't I order the same size as the board? Since the default one is big, it makes the shipment a lot more expensive!
it is easier for the company to create them all the same size, which makes it cheaper. You can spend more to get them cut I think if you do want a specific size.
Ok live
Hello friend I have some difficulties, can send you my diagram of a preamp to help me with the layout and after you will send me the invoice
Here's some food for thought.. JLCPCB offers the boards at below material cost. I doubt their intention is in your interest. So sure, order the prototypes where you want 1 or 2 pieces there. For something that's going to be a larger order, maybe www.eurocircuits.com/ is your better choice? Sure, a PCB will cost you $15 per PCB, but you will have an engineer look at your uploaded PCB file and make sure that the product you receive is the best quality. A chinese manufacturer subsidized by the chinese government on the other hand will probably aim to kill any PCB manufacturer that is not based in China..
That's why one uses multiple o.e.m.s.. keep them in the blind. All they have are gerber files. "Assembled In Canada from foreign materials". Never mind their non-existent intellectual property / copyright laws. Go ahead buy cheap. At what cost.
Great example of how to do SMD soldering the right way. Makes Julian Ilett's attempts look embarrassingly sad!
Please make a drone
Waht do you mean based as PCB?
Electronoobs nothing sorry
Please make with flight controller and gps
Make one with Arduino Mega + GY-87 + ublox 6, brushless motores and MultiiWii. And make, please, RC with telemetría and a screen on transmitter for basic telemetry.
Kostyantyn Matviyevskyy and please add pixhawk and gps
Bro what's your name
JLCPCB No Longer offer free shipping. Even for first order. Please check it.
Tell us a best website to buy smd co.ponents
5:48 Congratulations! Your parts are perfectly soldered! Now... put on some plastic gloves!!
So this isn't a "Paid Promotion"?
