A Texas couple received an unexpected visit from a young boy who is looking for friends. Shayden Walker explains that his previous friends were bullies. Although the homeowner, Brennan Ray, was not home, he and the boy continued the conversation over his home camera. Ray and his wife were so touched by Walker's story they posted the interaction online, which quickly received millions of views. They also made it their mission to help Walker. Inside Edition's Les Trent has more.
Let's face it This kid has more balls than any of us for asking for friends
he does none of us would admit when we feel that way
He sure does. What a brave guy.
Wth do u mean who tf asked for friends that’s not balls he’s mental destroyed cause he got bullied
@@TheTruth75175 he asked the parent if they had a kid so they could be friends, nothing wrong with that. When I moved to Berlin I used tinder to find friends bc I was too much busy with my work and making music. I also connected via insta with other musicians or people, which in the end is the same as asking for friends. He's just a small kid so there is no reason to say that.
Sure he does he’s a legend
This dude's gonna have a ton of friends when he gets older. To be confident enough to walk up to a stranger's house and ask if he can vibe with them or anyone they know at that age is wild. What an absolute legend.
What do you think the other kids at school will do when they see this video? "Yo thats the guy who loves two year olds haha". Hes gonna have the worst highschool experience in 1-2 years
That’s a great way to get a good job too!
Don't judge a kid you fuul
Same.. I did that on purpose on my strangers neighbors around my town and it came friendly and connective to me as well.
He looks and acts like kids on the spectrum
This is how i met my best friend actually. 1988 so no ring camera lol but he went door to door looking for kids. I wasn’t home but my Mom told me he came by and where he lived. We’re still best friends to this day. The kid in this video deserves the kind of lasting friendship I experienced. Great kid and he’s doing it right.
That’s the most adorable thing I’ve ever heard
@@keletube951 true story lol we remind each other of how we met often too. Even his kids and in-laws know the story now 😂 as soon as I saw this kid in the video I was immediately impressed and reminded of my lasting friendship. He’s awesome, I would definitely be this kids friend.

OMG
This kid has more confidence than 95% of adults.
He'll grow to be a successful happy nice man, father, and neighbor.
If he had any confidence he would talk to real people, not some boomer behind a door, You can tell by his whole demeanor and tone he has no confidence at all
@@FiveDORRA The boomer is hiding behind a closed door instead of getting out. Do you not realize that? The guy was in his 30's and is scared to talk to the kid face to face. The kid is does not only have confidence but also is smart, because he is asking his neighbors that live in the area instead of strangers who very likely do not even live there and thus obviously would have no kids.

The description says he was not actually home and was talking remotely to the kid through the security system. Not sure why all the hostility?
The fact that he had the courage to open up about his problems at his age - and to a stranger no less, this kid has a rock solid character.
For real. Sad he didn’t have a trusted adult in his family to talk to

He's my neighbor's grandson, and he is such an angel. ❤
If the kid doesn't learn to protect himself, he's gonna be a lonely victim his entire life. Women don't want a man who needs or is accustomed to protection. They want a man who can protect them and their kids. Some day he's gonna be a father and he's gonna need to pass on to his son how to stand up for himself. It's not society's job to protect little boys, it's society's job to teach them how to protect themselves. And it's little boys job to grow-up and protect society. This safety-ism has to stop.

Nice Thoreau quote.
I used to do this as a child. Was diagnosed as AUDHD at 38 years old. I've always been ballsy like this but it still doesn't stop the non stop rejection. People say to be more honest, to ask for help, show your vulnerability. It just simply doesn't work for some of us.
Same I'm also AuDHD I was bullied when from elementary to highschool I have no Friends at elementary and high school and I start having friends in senior high school at grade 12. I was bullied that I lose my mind to talk to people
What a kid !!!! And what a terrific neighbor friend . Heartwarming
Teach your kids to not bully, and stand up for those being bullied.
An excellent message and important 😸👍

I'm 60 years old and I still think back to when I was about 7 or 8. There was this young Native American girl who had a cleft pallet. Kids were tormenting her and I will never forget the look on her face! I was to scared to say anything or get beat up myself. Wish I had it to do over again! 😞
The parents can only do so much. Most of the bully type kids in my school growing up had very good parents. They know what they’re doing is wrong.. so what can a parent do? I suspect a lot of those parents had no idea their kids were bullies. The ball is in the kids’ court. It’s up to the bullies, the bullied, and the people seeing it happen to manage it. After all it has existed as long as people have, and will until we don’t.
I agree with the first part but not the second. I don’t want my kids getting into problems that simply aren’t there’s

Exactly, it's never too late. Kudos to you
yea it took some ass beatings to knock the bully out of me when i was a child, i was transfering oppression of being bullied, grew confident as i learned to fight them off which lead to an unchecked ego and then became bully to innocent kids. i look back on it with remorse. when i moved to a new school it all came back at me in 7 fold. my karma was bad. were all friends now tho as adults. the teachers hated my dad who was a nam vet and would yell at them at a conference or phone call, encourage me to kick everyones ass, so the offended teachers would encourage other kids to beat me up, which i did deserve. i used to dread when my dad would say he was "going to bat for me" at the school, again. im not angry at him anymore tho, but i held passive aggressive anger towards him for years. a therapist fixed that by explaining to me how fuct up the old man's own childhood was that he interviewed my dad about before talking to me. i had no idea because my dad never talked about it. now i have nothing but empathy for my dad but he had to become the man of the house of 6 other kids at the age of 12, because my grandfather was too drunk to do so.

There should be zero tolerance for bullying and it needs to be enforced in schools.
There's lions and there's sheep....best case be prepared and knowledgeable
But "they" have zero tolerance for sexual brainwash indoctrination
@@bojackson9149 nah, jungle rule is not a excuse for bully.
Damn straight.
I mean bulling is bad ( I'm telling with experience) But if you can get over it and change your self for better I'd say it's the best and the worst thing a kid can go through
At 31 I definitely feel lonely with no close friends. This boy is much braver than I could ever be. This boy has a bright future ahead of him
I only have one close friend. What about co-workers?
Same
So true! :)
I definitely keep a very small circle of friends been hurt too many times.
GOD leads him to the right house and right family. I'm happy for you young man...GODBless you🙏😍🙏
It is so refreshing to see a child his age not trying to grow up too fast. This is an amazing story with amazing people.
I thank this beautiful couple for helping this child! ❤❤❤
As a 45 year old woman who was bullied her whole time in school and now my son is also being bullied I feel for this little boy !
When my now ex walked out, my son took it hard and lost his confidence... his friends turned their backs on him. I wish I could have been more effective but I found even the moms to be very clique'ish and I didn't quite have enough of my own confidence ask for their understanding or help. My son's grown now and working but still no real friends to speak of. I hope you can find ways for your son to thrive. Speak to his teacher, ask for ideas, get him involved in a club at or away from school in whatever his interest is. Don't regret, like I have.. 🩷
I was thankful to be bullied when I was younger it made me tough and resilient for this day and age. Whatever don't break you will make you stronger. It sucked for all those years now I can see the positive andy my deepest sympathies that you and your son had to go through it but I guarantee you you'll be better people in the long run love from Canada stay strong hang in there don't ever give up hope there's a brighter day around sometime❤💪🙏💯🌎☮️
@@sparra3819don't have regrets in life I call those moments a life lesson 😂 stop trying to please everyone else and just please yourself please love from Canada ♥️💪🙏 once you stop caring about what people think about you you'll have all the confidence in the world and gain more by each minute you get stronger. Sorry your son doesn't have friends that is like me but I choose to have no friends then be in jail. I always hope one day to find good real friends not ones that will bully me or get me in trouble hope keeps you healthy mind body soul and Spirit🎉🎉🎉
Get your son into boxing and nobody will mess with him. My two boys and 1 girl all did boxing and it's the best thing I ever did.
I’m so sorry to hear about your son. Honestly, as bad as it sounds, you should send him to boxing/MMA classes cause then they’ll leave him alone.
This kid is one tough cookie to put himself out there, good for him. His parents have to be proud!
Idk, If I were his parents I'd be pretty worried, I mean having a 10 year old who just goes knocking randomly on strangers houses asking if you can hang out and be their friend. Who's to say he didn't knock on the wrong house and would spend the rest of the day crying having repeated sex with a paedo with low standards until he is killed. It's not like his parents would even know where he even is, since he didn't tell anyone he'd be there, the kid would literally just disappear.
@@ripeager9338 true, I know kids still roam the neighborhood in my area, they just don't go as far as I remember growing up. It's not uncommon for kids a block or 2 away from my house to come knocking on my door asking if my son or daughter wants to play. I don't let my kids roam like that unsupervised, but my neighborhood is relatively safe for this day and age.
Or dumb for letting the boy walk around aimlessly knocking on random people doors
He showed great courage in admitting his distress! That makes him an honest and reliable person. This kid is a beautiful person.
I told my children this: 1. If they ever bully anyone, there will be serious consequences for them. 2. If they ever get bullied, they should defend themselves and I will also stand with them. 3. If they see someone get bullied, they should stand up with them. This starts and ends with parents. If fathers start being real men and teach real values instead of entitled homeowner's association pussies, there will be no more bullying.
that's kind
We're so glad and thankful that finally a genius like you found a solution.
@@diggie9598 Wherea you likely entitle your children to bully others.
@@LawrenceofIsrael You sound like a council estate dad hahahaha
@@TerraRyzin10 I don't know what that is.😄
“I need some friends. Really bad” 😭😭😭 I pray that this young man grows up to continue to find the best friends ever. He has a heart of gold. Blessings to Shayden ❤

WHAT A GREAT LITTLE KID, WITH SUCH A SOLID CHARACTER. It might be hard for him to believe now, but that kind of a personality takes you places when you're an adult. He'll have TOO MANY friends.
My heart goes out to this boy. He needed help, and showed real courage to ask a complete stranger for help. I’d like to think that God brought him to those people. He reached into that boys life and made it better. I’ve been through bullying myself, just wish I had done what he’d done
Please protect this child at all costs 🙏🏿
💯💯💯
most definitely as he's only 12
No he needs to toughen up. The real world's going to chew him up up and spit him out. If he doesn't begin to toughen up. He will be a suicide statistic. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just the reality of it
Amen 🙏
They shouldn’t have posted it to social media. That is just going to lead to the kid getting further bullied
As someone who was bullied and with no friends, this made me tear up.
I’m so sorry, bullies make me infuriated I would definetly tell someone if I was going thru it
You have friends here buddy
@@jamesguiberteau6607 that’s right! ❤️
I feel ya. It's the kids airgirl. I have 2 boys and 2 girls. I was tough as rubber b4 them now I'm soft as cake. Blessings
I am sorry! I was in the same predicament as well! God Bless you!
Innocence of a child. Wish we all had a pure heart like that.
Proactive man! Fixing his own problems. Love him so much!
That young boy actually sounds like an awesome person. And he is smart enough to protect his own mental health by not trying to hang with bullies and seeking out true friends.
I wish, I used to be smart enough to protect my mental health when I was young too
@@ceso2410 i wish i was smart enough too :( ur not alone in feeling this ♥️
Absolutely!
I bawled my eyes out no child should be bullied.
Or adult.
The world is a dangerous place
Yeah, abuse and harassment can get so bad that people hurt themselves because of it.
@@TheWhyme01especially the major cities , but especially Atlanta , chicago and New York
You're right
Stay strong buddy. Wish you the best friends in the world
Bless his heart. Props to the man on the cam talking to this precious child.
This kid's actions not only show a level of intelligence and understanding that most of us lack, they also demonstrate his boldness and a strong heart. He reached out to strangers when his own friend's turned on him. Mom is doing an awsome job raising that boy.👍
Most of us lack??? Speak for yourself.😂
@SusieQ-uj3ou wow so much hate and anger, go fix yourself
@SusieQ-uj3ou I am sorry that you have so much hate in your tiny heart, but you need to work on yourself before degrading or belittling anyone else. You don't know his story. There is more than laziness that causes overweight issues. Health issues and some meds can cause this. Grow up. You're the actual 2 year old child I see here.
@SusieQ-uj3ou Probably going to be his uncle/big brother figure forever.
@DonnellOkaforthat is why he doesn t make friend s like coment like y disd Great job
