Chapter 5 - Darkness, and the Epilogue - Checkmate, are the last legs of Wagstaff's journey in the Constant. He came to the world of Don't Starve seeking to explore its mysteries and gain knowledge, but here at the end of the adventure, will he find what he was looking for? Wagstaff's quote for the nightmare throne is something to note. It's something along the lines of: "I have found it!! The portal to link worlds!! The throne of ultimate power!"
How do you get him to say that though? Rescue Wagstaff with Wagstaff?
@@salendrak You should be able to examine the throne when someone is sitting on it. The detection is a bit tricky, gotta look for some peculiar spots, but it should be possible.
@@barneylage2784 Oh wow - i didn't even realize you can examine the thrown with an occupant on it. Oh well - missed opportunity!

Not sure if I'll do a playthrough series (probably won't - they generally don't do so well views-wise) but I will definitely be doing guides!

I don't currently have any plans for any further edited playthroughs like this, but will be doing more guides, and will probably do a single-player tri-linked (RoG, SW, Hamlet) livestream series starting in October!

Here's an interesting question. Why is Wagstaff's invention (the Voxola radio, with a few more components) the only way to free Maxwell/whoever sits on the throne? Has he met Maxwell before, or used the Codex Umbra before? Who knows, he might've even made it himself for what we know.

Per the wiki, "It's less painful than it looks. Barely." Another commenter pointed out that if you position the cursor just right, you can examine the chair itself even if someone is sitting on it. I'm assuming that the chair quotes are what everyone says if you do that as well as if nobody is on it.

hi, im currently attempting reign of giants, and i've been taming beefalos in dst, wondering if it's worth it in rog
So that's a tricky question to answer. Whether or not something in this game is "worth it" is entirely subjective depending on what you enjoy doing. Is it necessary to tame a beefalo? Absolutely not! You can do everything there is to do in the game without ever taming one. Is it resource efficient to tame a beefalo? Absolutely not! They're HUNGRY little beasties! But can it be fun to tame one? Absolutely!! And riding around and fighting with them is a great way to mix up the gameplay and add some spice to your adventure. But really it's entirely up to you. If it's the sort of thing you enjoy doing and want to have as part of your gameplay, then go for it!
@@salendrak the problem im thinking is that it has the half the hp it does in dst, so i feel a little conflicted
@@hijeatsdirt True, but the counterpoint is that the hard stuff that you might be fighting with them also have way less HP, so proportionately I don't think it is any more likely that a single player Beefalo is likely to die any easier than one in DST. Unless you're careless in a swamp or something 😉
