TINY PS5! The smallest PS5 with detachable disc drive! We couldn't settle for the 30% reduction in size from the new PlayStation 5, so we took it further!

  • We are humbled and completely overwhelmed by the love and support you all have given us on this project. Pushing the boundaries of small form factor computing and design is our passion at NFC, and we are always excited to share our creations with you. We started this project without knowing if it would be successful or even well received, but that’s what makes challenges like the Tiny PS5 impossible to turn down. This project was never intended to be mass produced. It was meant to inspire, and it is a celebration of those that have inspired us. We are honored that you have taken the time to watch its story. Thank you!

      @crazypopcorn7801@crazypopcorn78015 ай бұрын
    • @@vdochev - Not for thermals it isn’t. Consoles often have external supplies to keep the size and thermals down. It’s only when chip improvements and cost reductions come along that they’re able to move the PSU internally while keep the console small. The PS5 is so massive because of the internal PSU. Don’t like power bricks? Deal with large consoles until costs come down on more efficient hardware.

I think if i were to re-do my portable version, i would make it a 5v system and just boost to get the 12v instead of it being a 12v system with huge buck converters for the 5v.@@Lettuce2167

  • This channel is just woefully underrated. Subbed for the original case/objective of pushing SFF boundaries but am glad to see the content quality dramatically improve. Not a fan of the PS5 but this is an impressive endeavor and result.

  • Absolutely stunning work, cant get over how clean the finish is. I think something that would make alot of sense here is the ps5 and disk drive in stackable horizontal layout. Those dimensions for the drive and ps5 look almost identical!

  • I’m glad to see you have been released from the internment camp Erick. Great work on making the PS5 not only smaller but aesthetically pleasing. Can’t wait to see what comes next! I think the thing that will really take you to the next level is growing a beard to rival Josh’s.

  • Hope it's only this video and not the rest of them on your channel, but I found the speaking sections of the video to be too low in volume. Please reconsider double and/or triple checking sound levels of future videos. Still, a fantastic project. Looks absolutely awesome!

  • The attention to detail is awesome, I'm also amazed you took the harder route and put a disc drive in and not just make a mini digital one

    • Thank you! I struggled to decide on which version to make. Digital only, Disc drive built in, or external disc drive. I designed all 3, but in the end I decided on one.

  • Absolutely amazing build! Back in the early 2000's I used to have fun installing desktop computers into small and unusual cases. Watching this video reignited the desire to do that kind of stuff again. Thank you for doing this incredible project! Btw, any chance you'd be willing to share the CAD files you used? I'd love a chance to simply examine the detailed work you did 😊
