- I had an idea today: I’m a musician and songwriter, and I am influenced by some of Whitney’s best hooks, in my opinion, that she only sings it that way live. So, I think I can give Whitney the official songwriting credit on my songs (rather than the writers listed on her studio album). There’s a lot she should be credited on! But she was humble and unconcerned. She wasn’t just the Voice, she was THE genius of spiritual and emotional intelligence and musical imagination.

Beginning at 2:10 and then again at 30:16, listening to him talk about Whitney hearing her backround vocals on For The Love Of You and how she sounded like angels gave me the chills since she does sound so heavenly on that song, which I think is better than The Isley Brothers original classic.
