  • The live TV coverage of Monte Carlo open is the worst ever. They put the camera so high up, you call only see two tiny figures running side to side and ball is nowhere to be seen. Plus, the blazing sun makes it even harder to spot the ball. Worst ever coverage!

  • People forget that Tsitsipas almost bagged the 2021 FO and was 2-0 up against Nole. The clear difference is that on clay, Tsitsipas has time to load , prepare, and unleash his backhand, even Sinner was struggling to return those heavy topspin backhands to his BH. Obviously, Ruud faced the same issue.

    @juandois6581@juandois6581Ай бұрын
    • When i saw ruud's poor performance. That made me feel that djokovic got robbed just like what sinner had suffered when he was 4-2 against tsitsipas on 3rd set. But, tsitsipas deserves to win, somehow cuz he has helped djokovic extend no. 1 for 5 weeks!

      @Birdylockso@BirdylocksoАй бұрын
    • Agree completely on the extremely heavy one handed top spin backhands. Even with a two handed as efficient as Sinner, he was putting a tad short, which allowed Tsitsipas to dictate the points, especially evident in the first set.

    • @@Birdylockso Thanks. The tennis is interesting cuz of big 3 + murray and wawrinka. But federer had retired, nadal is injured, murray and wawrinka are outdated. But djokovic is the last man standing as the member of old generation cuz he did spectacular job since last year until now. Anyway, imagine, djokovic got 5,100 points to defend after winning US open 2023 until australia open 2024, but he stayed no. 1 after then while alcaraz has to lose bunches of points after australia open 2024 cuz of his injury. That's why djokovic is special cuz he stays in no. 1 despite his age has been nearly 37.

  • Really happy for Tsitsipas, who has been struggling of late, to see him win an ATP men's 1000 tournament. You can feel his elation that he finally got the monkey off his back. After bursting on the scene when he was 19 years old, he was one of the hottest tennis players with a one-handed backhand. Let's hope this victory sparks his confidence to more victories ahead.

    @bobchew2143@bobchew2143Ай бұрын
  • Casper had absolutely no belief in his backhand today, the amount of times he ran around it and left too much open court really made him pay the price.

    • Stef is 2 time Monte Carlo champion coming into this event. He was going to be very tough to beat.

      @jollyjames30@jollyjames30Ай бұрын
    • Big weakness in his game. He often runs around his backhand when the ball is extremely wide in his backhand side. Most of the time its not that the forehand then does much damage in this situation. So he is making the situation often worse for himself with a very open forehand side. He has to do something about his backhand or he will always lose those bigger finals.

    • It was awful - got exposed to the FH side so many times. But the truth is his BH is up there with Berretini and Tsonga and Ivanovic for being so much weaker than their FH side - I have literally NEVER seen Casper hit a flat BH winner. It’s way too loopy a shot and he doesn’t have the depth control on it that other players do

      @StewNWT@StewNWTАй бұрын
  • Tsitsipas's top spin backhands are pretty effective on this high-bouncing court, holding up against Ruud attacks and his forehands were just free-flowing today.

    @Qacc6@Qacc6Ай бұрын
    • Looks like a bit of a technical adjustment too. Before they were too loopy now more penetrating like a thiem or Stan

      @mattDJmel@mattDJmelАй бұрын
    • As much as the one-handed backhand is a beautiful stroke to watch, unfortunately, it is a weakness against top-ten players who can easily exploit those weaknesses. The stroke requires a lot of strength and timing to generate the heavy topspin and throughout long rallies, one-handed players are more prone to errors than their two-handed counterparts.

      @bobchew2143@bobchew2143Ай бұрын

He has variously acted like an entitled brat. But that's tennis for you. kzhead.info/sun/admfirB7faFvdGw/bejne.html

  • Lezgoooooo Stefanos! You show them who's the hairy beast on clay! 🤣🤣🤣 Backhand looking strong af, forehand and net game always superb. Stef won this match serving under 50%, imagine what he'll be like on clay when he serves at his usual percentage. 😱 Tough for Casper, he probably had a let down after finally beating Nole - would've liked to have seen Casper's tweeners in the highlights. But you can tell these two guys' movement on clay is exceptional. Thanks again Tennis TV for the 8 minute highlights!

  • Stefanos looks like he's got a bit of Guga Kuerten in him on clay with the one-handed backhand, similar hairstyles and builds albeit Tsitsi may be more muscular. Reminds me a lot of Guga and how both play great on the red clay.

    • @@DaHammerOfGod if I remember correctly, Guga backhand was a bit less moon ball than Tsitsi. My memory fades away because I saw all the matches of Guga at French open throughout the years but I don't remember quite clearly his style to make a definite statement in comparing his game to Tsitsipas. Guga would go down the line more often I think too (I think absolute confidence on his down the line backhand, which he never had unlike Guga or Wawrinka, is what would allow Tsitsipas to win french open)

    • @@taopaille-paille4992 The similarities are more superficial, one-handed bh, flowing locks of hair tied in a bandana, etc. If you're going into the minutiae like you are then I agree there are some slight variances in there overall swing patterns and shot selection. My statement wasn't to be taken at a granular level.

    • I don't understand the "no slice" policy, it's a great táctic to defend and change the pace of the rally or build an attack, it was just stef slice was too poor that was a liability, a good slice would benefit him a Lot to mix between points and win time to unleash his fh, specially outside clay
